'Only 7!' I have 12 open at this very moment. Most of them are Wealthy Affiliate related, but a few are websites I am using for researching products.

Wow (secrets of the top 100)!

Hey, I always open the ones I know I will be using, but I end up opening several more as I work. As Melissa said, it safes time!

I always swear that Im only going to open the ones I'll use and then I just end up using a bunch more. It can take me a while to shut down my computer sometimes just dealing with all the tabs!

I often have this many or more makes it so much easier and faster

It really does make things easier. I know that Im into the work when the tabs start opening haha.

Yea easier to go back and forth for sure

lol I had 200 open for a number of weeks, not all WA, but quite a few

my computer slowed to almost a standstill so I had to mine them all yesterday and close it...mad, but worth it :D

Wow, Mary! I seriously though I was the "TAB" king, but I see now that I was terribly mistaken. You make me look like a rank amateur! I kneel to thee!

Surely, there must be some kind of therapy or support group that you could join, because you've got a severe TAB addiction. and need immediate help!

I will be on the lookout for such a group and will let you know if I find one.

I'll be praying for you, but in the meantime...

Continued success,

Joshua

LOL! I've got 18 open at the moment on my newly cleaned up computer, and I've got a second laptop open so I can keep an eye on a whole other set of tabs, lest this one slows for even a second I'm not losing time

you are soooo right, I need therapy, computer addiction for sure... :D

ps If I can fit all this on a 15 inch laptop then I'm pretty sure there are others who can fit on a whole lot more lol

@MozMary

My main PC has a 34-inch monitor, so I have no problem seeing the screen. However, it's located upstairs in my office (extra bedroom). Since I have mobility issues, if I am downstairs, and my wife is not using her setup (she works from home as a medical coder/transcriptionist), I'll hop on her computer for a bit.

She has two monitors configured as one, so again...no trouble seeing the screen(s). When I am on her computer, I use a program called, "Teamviewer" to log in to my upstairs computer and am able to function as though I were sitting in front of my own PC.

I need to write a blog about that program...it is so useful.

By the way...and for the record, as of this moment...I only have TWO tabs open.

IT'S A MIRACLE! I THINK I'M CURED! At least, until later today.

Continued success,

Joshua

I just have a 13" monitor but have another sitting on the floor that I could set up. It would be good to add a tutorial on Teamviewer and multi-monitor viewing since it seems that a few of us have a tabs addiction.

Doug, I'm going to put both of those on my "to-do" list, but I doubt that I will get to them any time soon. I need to first learn how to do a "tutorial."

Something else to learn. Whew...that's what's so great about WA...there is no shortage of things to learn about that will help make us better online marketers!

Joshua

I really hate to even admit this, because I should know better; my all-time record for number of tabs open on my browser (Chrome) is ... wait for it ... 51.

I should know better because I have a degree in computer networking. Fortunately, upgrading my memory and installing a SSD (solid state drive) gives me enough capacity that it's not normally a problem (I have 16 gigs of RAM).

However, I know that each open tab takes a little bit of RAM and slows my system down.

At this moment (I just checked), I have 18 open. If it begins to act sluggishly, I'll close a few.

Whatever works!

Best to you all,

Joshua

lol I've discovered my little toshiba laptop can handle way more than that, I filled the screen with tabs till it took no more then opened a new browser window and did it all over again, then chrome did a little quirky wobble and opened a third sheet doubling my first one with some extras on top, it was 150-200 I sort of lost count as they don't all show when it gets too many !

Wow - thats a record achievement. I would be SO lost if I had more than 10 tabs open. I'd have to note them all down in a spreadsheet just to keep track of them and that would defeat the convenience factor.

Whoa - 51! I would not try that on my ancient computer. I need to turn the crank on the side of the box if I get more than 5!

Doug,

as long as it works for me, I'll continue to do it. What happens a lot is that I find so much amazing stuff online, especially in WA, and don't have time to completely digest it at the moment. So leaving the tab open helps me to remember the things I need to get back to.

If I don't get to them all during that session, then I will bookmark "all open tabs" before shutting down for the day/night. The next time I am online, I simply re-open that particular "bookmark," and I am ready to go.

Joshua

Oh yes! Daisy supports me in doing this!

Wayne

Is Daisy an app?

Sorry Doug, I should have explained Daisy.

It was slightly comical Post I did a few days ago about the purchase of my new laptop. I called her Daisy.

It supports opening lots of tabs and I have fantastic WiFi at the moment. The spec is in the post, it’s perfect for what I need. Thanks

Wayne

Totally. I have a main one up so I can answer questions, normally 1 or 2 from people I follow as I read their blogs for the day, 1 for SiteContent, 1 for my Site Dashboard, and 1 up for Jaaxy.

That doesn't include the 2 tabs I have open for my website, the 2 tabs for my emails (day job and normal), and the 12 other tabs I have open for research. I'm surprised my computer hasn't given up on me.

Take care.

You've got me beat by a long shot. Its fabulous to be able to work back and forth between tabs though. Ive written books in the past and if I could have writtent them with research tabs open it would have been SO much easier!

Me!! all the time!

Im about to open a few more windows now while replying to my WA blog...

Chuckled when I read your post. Thought I was the only one. lol

We might be starting a therapy group for "tabbitis" here at WA.

I often have multiple WA windows open while working.
Steve

Its hard not to, so much functionality here.

Just sharing an off-topic experience here.

Once, I have like 6 browser tabs opened from my WordPress dashboard and very much later, my site froze and I couldn't get in. Had to contact SiteSupport for help (they were prompt as usual) and was encouraged not to do that in the future due to some web technical clash.

I've never had multiple tabs open from my WP dashboard, or no just thinking now that yes I do that lol. Almost forgot about when I am going through posts and updating Pretty Links. Good point though to be caredul in the WP dashboard.

yes, it's also easy to lose your work by updating the wrong tab! Ask me how I know lol, not so lol at the time though
