First 30 Days on Medium
Disclaimer: My views and beliefs are personal and may not align with those of others. They are not intended to substitute for WA training.
So, I thought I would give you a quick update on how I am doing at medium.com.
You may recall from my previous post that I joined the Medium Partner Program on January 17.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/dianescorpio/blog/my-first-earnings-with-medium
Now, after 30 days, I have earned $9.52, woo hoo!
Obviously, we are only midway through February, so I hope to see further income by the end of the month.
This may only be a very small amount of money, but it shows, that with consistency, this could be a viable side hustle.
And it has paid for itself, as the membership is $5 per month or $50 per year.
You may wish to read Christina's post, she is doing fantastically well, over $500 in one month!

And for those of you who are in the early stages of your website, this is perhaps something you could try, just to prove to yourself that it is possible to make money online!
However, like any platform, it does require consistent work, you can't just write a couple of stories and that's it.
(I have written 38 posts in 30 days, but many are only around 300 to 400 words).
But, the beauty of this is that you can write about anything you want, it doesn't have to be your niche, and there is no minimum word count.
Why not try it?

Hi Diane,
Thanks for this. I agree. I've been a member since August 2023 and have a quite large following and subscriber group. Like you, I have earned enough to cover my membership.
I've met some great people on Medium and enjoy the challenge of posting things there I probably wouldn't post on my websites. It's also good if you are already published - mediumites can get interested in your books and spread the word.
Hope you continue. I'll follow you there.
Blessings and Success. 😊
I started with medium about a month ago (free) using it as a source for backlinks to my site. As outlined by VitaliyG
I simply copied posts from my site and put them the platform and did the correct settings for each post within medium.
Not sure why but I never considered writing original content on the platform. I was focused on backlinks.
But now I will start writing original content. I can easily create a post per day.
First step upgrade to the partner program. I'll do that tomorrow.
Thanks for this
Leo
Leo,
I create "Reader's Digest" versions to put over there and link back.
That has helped as well.

Hi - as per Medium's Terms and Conditions -
"You retain your rights to any content you submit, post, or display on or through the Services."
They have an Import feature, so you can post articles from your website, and Google will know you wrote the original, it won't be seen as a duplicate.
If you can earn enough to afford a quick ale in a local drinking establishment after only a month then Medium sounds like a great platform to be a part of Diane!!
Nice work my friend!!
👍🥂🤣🍻🍹
Diane,
I agree with you on Medium being "The Sidekick for Niche Bloggers". I joined a couple of weeks back after 6 months of dissing it. I have added a few posts, and am getting readers and followers who are coming to my blog.
My "Freebie" introduction has been the biggest draw so far, but traffic is traffic, and I will take it.

Good morning Diane,
That's a very interesting post, Diane, it's also interesting what Christina is doing with medium.
It will be interesting to see how your income grows, Diane, will you catch up with Christina if you are consistent? The Internet never fails to amaze me, there are so many different ways to earn an income online.
Have a great day.
Roy
Well, I believe that Christina is closer to $600 per month, now, so she is always going to be way ahead of me!
I am starting with a smaller ambition, to get to $40 per month, by the end of April, and then, hopefully, increase from there.
That sounds good, Diana, it's always good to see members doing well.
I look forward to hearing more about your experiment, Diane.
Have a great week.
Roy
