How to add a Generate Press premium theme (which I purchased) to a siterubix website, so I may make changes.
I am a premium member.
Hey Denis,
See screen prints below...
First set of 3 screen prints shows you how to install a premium WordPress (WP) theme and the second set of 3 will show you how to install a premium plugin... which Generate Press uses for their premium theme users.
Hope you find this helpful.
Hi Triblu,
Thank you for your reply to my question.
The images are most helpful.
I will follow through with them.
Have a great day
Denis
Hey Denis,
Feel free to take copies of those screen prints and put them in a Word doc... title the Word doc properly so that YOU can easily find them again whenever you need them.
You're not alone in needing to have a memory jogged every now and again. I use screen prints for all software that I only access once in a while. That way... less chance of mistakes being made. ;-)
Humans are not perfect. :-)
Hi, you are wanting download plugin from their site then upload in Plugins and add new. Go the plugin settings and activate you can fetch your key code from generatepress accounts page. And you are done.
Once activated, you'd be able see all the templates. There's three steps onto which installing a new theme. However I would omit step two as you do not want content from somewhere else vs creating your own.
You can change themes irrelevant of domain siterubix, a premium dot com or other as long as it is run on a WordPress application.
Hi AbieAJ
Thank you for your reply to my question.
Sorry for my late response, as I am in a different time zone.
I will work through your suggestions.
Your 2nd reply above is great.
Have a great day
Denis
Follow these steps:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/
You may want to use Gutenberg or one of these plugins: Elementor or Beaver Builder.
I guess Merlynmac was working on something like that: Just Looking for Quick Opinions Hope this helps,
Tom
Thank you Tom,
Your reply has been most helpful.
I now have my GP Premium theme on siterubix.
I will use Gutenberg.
So many new things happening with Blocks - Wordpress drag & drop etc.
Cheers
Denis

I use GP Premium and am finding it very useful, I download plugin from gppreimum site and keycode and uploaded to my site plugins - add new- upload plugin. Then under Plugins tab I click configure and onto forward page I entered keycode without beta. Once that's update future updates would be received. Onto templates choose a template but skipping step two of the process if you are not wanting other content. But if you want to see what site will look like you are performing the three steps.
Wishing you well and a terrific day.

Is it possible to create a GP Premium theme on Siterubix.com
Thanks Dale,
Yes I am a Premium member.
I am having problems with a GP P website to make changes. It is a good site for my purpose (travel & photography) & thought Site Rubix would be a good way of playing around with the theme.
There has been changes for Wordpress & GP over the last 2 years & maybe I can't adjust it to my requirements.
If you have any suggestions I would appreciate them thanks
Denis
As a GP Premium member you will have access to their support forums & GP literally offer the BEST WordPress theme support out there, so I'd highly recommend that you join their forums and take advantage of their help :)
Thanks Dale - greatly appreciated will do
In fact the theme I want to use was created by Mike Oliver for GP creator Tom Usborne

I want to delete my live website here at WA & add a new Generatepress Premium theme.
Unfortunately, I have added different content & it is a mess.
I have pai
Jay of Magistudios did a training last month I believe on this very topic. I believe he runs through the process in this training
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/classes/creating-a-beautiful-professional-looking-website
Install the free theme and then install the downloaded premium theme from your computer as a plugin
Just add some info for you.
Go to Appearance, then theme, you have to find generate press basic theme, activate and install.
Generate press pro you have bought, you have to save it on your computer. Then go add a new plugin, choose upload file from your PC to load the Generate press pro file, then go to plugin setting to activate all functions.
You have complete your installation.
Hi Denis
Just for awareness ... when you have added the free theme, the pro-version of GP is a plugin. It is not difficult when you know ... if you have problems going to the pro version, just ask again.
:-)
Richard
Hi
Log nto the back office of wordpress
Click on Appearance and then theme
Click add new
You can put the type of theme you want in the search box, if you have an idea what is it you want
Otherwise, you can just click search and choose one from the collection
Just go to appearance then add themes on your site. Be aware that some themes you may need to re-do some parts especially in the widgets area on the side.
Make sure you find the theme you like and activate that first before deleting your current theme.
Wishing you well
Andre
Thank you Andre
I will see how I go & if I have a problem I will get back to you.
The GP premium theme is Wordsmith. I need to access the GP Premium sites.
Cheers
Denis
I don't use any premium sites so on that part if you have issues ask the community or maybe site support for further advice. Currently, I am using the Free version of GeneratePress previously was using Iconic One again free which I loved the most but had an issue with that theme as it didn't recognize the H1 title tags and didn't get much support from the developer then now my
GeneratePress has that issue solved so will use that for now.
Wishing you well
Andre

Is it possible to create a Generatepress Premium site in siterubix to try the theme?
Be warned, once you've GeneratePress Premium you'll never want any other theme... Lol! It's so good.
Thanks Dale,
Agree 100%.
I am working on Wordsmith for my travel & photography site. Mike Oliver created the site & has a super YT tutorial. Determined to get it going, although very slow at the moment. I think I should start from scratch & build on it.
Denis
Yes, it is possible to use GP premium on a siterubix site.
There is no extra cost to install the GP premium theme on additional sites, so give it a try.
GP will work just fine.
Alex
Thank you Alex - greatly appreciate your comment.
I am getting mixed up with layout of the GP theme, so will try it on siterubix.
BTW - As a fellow farang in Thailand, I hope all is going well in your part of the country.

Denis
Hi Denis,
Things are ok. They could be better, but I am certainly better off than many. I hope things improve for everyone soon.
Alex
We've also ran Divi builder and plugin, Elementor both free and pro version plugins. We constantly test things out before we install on mains.
And thank you, wishing you success on your online journey.
Should you need further assistance, more than happy to help.
Thank you Abie,
I seem to be going around in circles LOL
One of the most important things I have been lacking, is to ask a question.
Denis
Good question. I'm not 100% sure if you can upgrade that or have to wait until you upgrade to premium. Someone else may have an answer for you.
