Create a FREE Daily Newsletter to Capture Leads
INTRODUCTION
Loes recently posted a tutorial on a nifty plugin for your website where you can create a newsletter and send it to your subscribers plus get new subscribers...
When I saw this training, I comented and immediately thought about the free service I am using called paper.li, they are similar, and both are useful...
Let's look at the two...
(1) Mail Poet

I recommend going to the link and chacking out her work to present this plugin to you, it is worth your time...
Now on to an alternative...
(2) Paper.li
My suggestion is also quite effective at doing the same thing almost as Mail Poet, but without yet another plugin on your Wordpress site...
As stated above the site is called paper.li and your own daily newsletter is a 5 minute set up task, and your letter will have its own web page that is hosted by their server, and papr.li even provides a banner that you can add to your website for traffic.
If you have the paid version you can send it directly through your autoresponder to your lead list...Plus have a lot of additional bells and whistles if that is something you are interested in or need...

WHAT IS INVOLVED

(2) How To Sign Up?
On the sign up page there is a very simple process you go through, providing your contact information, your niche, plus your site url, etc.
From there you will get a banner prepared for you, with code, that you can then embed on your site. This banner will update daily and have the latest slider article titles that appear randomly as the site visitor peruses your page.
It looks professional and attracts the visitor...
Here is a shot of the profile page you will fill out and helps them pull articles that are relating to your niche:
(3) What can you do with it?
This site updates one time a day then updates your banner, so every day viewers will get the latest and the greatest from across the web.
Viewers and subscribers can go your newletter site and quickly get a broad brushstroke swath of current news related articles and videos and posts, all related to your niche, plus a bit more.
The site does a LOT more if you decide to upgrade to Pro, but that is not a requirement. Once you see this works, you can decide if all the tools are worth the monthly cost...

(4) Points of Difference from Magazine:
I like this newletter format and set up for several even more than my monthly magazine, which subscribers to my page also get as a giveaway, for several reasons...
- Latest Info - You get the latest information on your chosen niche that is updated daily...
- Builds Trust and Credibilty - It helps build your trust and credibility with subscribers and site visitors...
- Bulds You As A Brand - It CAN help get your name and content out to a wider audience even if you choose a paid plan
- More Info - As opposed to the monthly magazine that I give away as a freebie to my subscribers, this daily format has a LOT more information than the magazine...
- Easy, Fast and NO Hands On Required - No work after set up, the difference in the hours is humongous!
(5) Cost (2 plans):
- Free - MY PLAN ; )
- PRO - You can pay a $9 monthly fee and have a lot of capabilities such as tracking, adding your articles, more social share options, etc. but...
My opinion: The basic free service is very effective on its own. and not a bad way to get your name out there and attention/more subscribers)...

Note the subscriber window on the right side (also uses your gravatar image there)...The subsciber box also appears at the bottom of your newletter, and a separate optin will pop up upon exiting, as below...
- Separate OPTIN page popup (free)
This can be closed by hitting "No Thanks" below Create paper button...I think with the paid version the "Create Paper" goes away (not totally sure on that because I am a FREE member!)...
CONCLUSION
This is yet another way to offer something of value for your site visitors, It costs nothing but a few minutes of your time...
Note I set the banner I use up so that a new page opens when they click on it, so if visitors do check out your daily paper, they will not be directed away from your site...'
As stated, this paper is hosted on a paper.li host, so no drag at all on your page. Also no plugin is required on your Wordpress site,
It looks good and shows your subscribers and your traffic that you are seeking to be a cutting edge marketer!
My advice: Check it out and see if it will work for you!

Great you got it up and running...I believe you can get it from your dashboard, which you will access if you click on the left button at the top of the home page you will see as the owner of the paper....Cheers! Dave : )
went to this page,https://paper.li, but have not been able to find the sign in area (with site link etc).. suggestions?
Sure just a sec, I will go there myself using icognito and sign up for another paper using another of my domains...here are the step you can follow as I do this:
Go to ===> http://paper.li/DaveSweney/1454184591
On upper right side you will see a green button with words Creat paper...Click on it,....
Sign in with your twitter, facebook, or email account, then fill out the rest of the set up AFTER you check your email (if you used that to sign up with) or you should be able to get there directly after signing in with the other two sites...
You need to have the domain for the paper you want to have curated for you, and also add in any special focuses you would like to have added in to the paper....
Also there will be an option to have a banner created for your site. That you will get an embed code for and ass it into one of your widgets on your site. Then it will be a direct link for your site visitors when they click on the banner on your site...

thanks.. found the menu and the green create paper button and now have 3 "papers" have not been asked for a URL but I think I have signed up to receive e-mails... not what I was thinking....?

It is really a quick process and one time....After you can put a banner on your page if you want that will help others get to the paper, and they can see that you are providing up to date and relevant information for that niche!
It's kinds cool because this is an idea that I had when I first started my niche site (the very first one), but quickly I saw that it would take too much of my time...This does away with that totally!

I have not tried to meld them together, I am adding them to my GetResponse as I get them in....I would have to upgrade to be able to integrate with an autoresponder...
If I see that the value is there I may upgrade, for $9 a month is not much if I see I am getting lots of traffic...Plus I would then have a chance to get my ads, articles, web sites, etc out as well...
I would have to do a separate paper for each niche so that is also a consideration...People interested in diabetes likely will care less about online marketing and vice versa...

You will get notified of when a new subscriber has signed up - it is automatic...But if you were pro level yiu can use an autoresponder....

Hello,
I just checked your paper, and I see you've figured out how to hide your subscription box. If you would like to also turn off your automatic notifications, you can do so by turning on 'Notifications Control' (Paper Settings Dashboard > Promotion & Emails). With Notifications Control turned on, your paper will no longer automatically send out notifications, and you can solely use MailChimp as your newsletter service."
There you have it! This site has an excellent training and help section, although I have not used it much, found this pretty quick!

Hi Max...One additional point...The subscribers I added were right from here in Dubai (local business) so I was able to add them to GetResponse as a result of having their email addresses....The notification I received from paper.li was as attached screenshot)....Hope this helps some more! Dave, the first, and only question that comes to mind is; do I have to create the daily newsletter? The blog implies, at least in my mind, that the newsletter is created by paper.li and sent to my list. Is this right?

Yes that is exactly right! The site search engines actually pull in the related articles and videos for you from across the web, then curates it onto your page, which is hosted by them...
This is what attracted me. They do all the work! Once you set it up it runs on automatic! I do think the paid version offers a lot more, but for my purposes the free version is fine....

Interesting. To integrate into my website I have to use the paid membership for $9. So you use it only for subscribers of your list? Is a daily newsletter not too much?

No you do not have to pay to integrate the banner into your web site...That is part of the free offer they provide...Mine is also not a paid account, and the banner I have works well...
I have attached a picture below...It looks quite smart.This banner when clicked takes the viewer to the daily newsletter opening up another page in your browser...
On the other question as whether it is too much, for the web site I would say no. The daily update means that they will see a new paper each day.
For subscribers, I will do a survey first to see if there is an interest, and likely only send to a special list of those that request it...As a free member this service is not included...I am a FREE member...

I have been looking at the paid version and the upgrades you get...I am considering upgrading, since i am spending already on paid traffic at times, this is within my budget. I see that each separate paper would cost $9 so that means I would try it with one niche and see if it makes a difference, then scale up if it is effective...Cheers! Dave : )

LOL man oh man do I understand...This is a neat little tool, and I see that I am getting some traffic, so I may go ahead and pay the small monthly fee to see what happens...
If I promote the page through FB fan pages, Twitter, Pinterest, and on my site the traffic and adverts for my own affiliate products it can maybe help sales? Even if I make one sale it will more than pay that cost...
