Annual Renewal Time (Again) + Approaching Year 8!
Hello All!
Just a short note to celebrate my latest annual subscription renewal. Woo-Hoo, the money was taken out of my account today and once again I am good for a year! I like the peace of mind of not worrying about payment month in and month out.

Speaking of month in and month out...
I will hit 8 years on this platform in about 6 months, but long ago I went annual with my subscription versus the monthly plan. That switch from monthly to annual occurred during the BFCM timeframe the first year I joined.

Changing Times...
In the meantime, much has changed (as you might expect?) both in my personal and professional life, and boy oh boy, the world has changed too! There have been ups and downs, trials and tribulations, (much like we all have had) and just some tough (and good) times.
The basic premise that online business is a viable endeavor still applies today though, that fact has been consistent throughout these years. Perhaps there is no better time to get your business off the ground than today (I think we have been saying that forever, but it is true!)!

There are many ways to make it online these days, and I love to hear about people that have taken the bull by the horns and made something of the opportunity! It is good to see so many quality folks here!

Bottom Line:
I wish you all well, and although I am quite busy on other sites and with coaching, consulting, and running shops, etc. I do come here from time to time to see what is happening.
I appreciate all the things that Kyle & Carson are doing and will do to keep this platform on top of the market serving as a cutting edge resource for us all, and as I said long ago, I will likely be a member here for life (hopefully a long one!)!

I too still respond better to lists and vision boards.
Think part of the reason for this is that both require a bit of quiet time to think.

Most certainly part of my day is going over the vision board, my task list and my overall goals list daily.
Generally, I do this in the early AM as I am having my first coffee...

I’ve the course of the 8 yrs….How would you rate your experience? Meet expectations, exceeded expectations or ?

I would rate the time and membership here as exceeding expectations on every level as follows.
- It was the springboard for my initial online business efforts - I was misled prior to finding this platform as a neophyte online business entrepreneur so many years ago.
- Without WA there is no doubt in my mind that the road to success would have been much longer and harder (with more potholes, detours, construction zones, destruction zones, etc.).
- The community is like having the 11th man on the field (cheering/the support crowd) in sports terms. What's not to like about that added power?
- There is a wealth of knowledge to be found here that will help you avoid mistakes/wasting time (although you do have to be discerning).
- I also like that through the size of the membership and the diversity of backgrounds, areas people live in, and their insights you get new perspectives all the time.
- There are many ways to make a living online, and most of them dovetail nicely with affiliate marketing which you can learn about/implement using the lessons found here.
- Lastly (I could go on and on) this place is like a seething pot of creativity, emotion, and action. Who wouldn't want to be in the mix under these circumstances (smile!)...

I just finished reading your vision board post. I'll definitely be doing that before the end of the year. I have a lot I'd like to do and I need a clearer idea of how to do it.
I'm not an artist, but I like colors and photos and stuff.
No probs with following you, hehe...
The vision board really works great for many people...
In the old days, we just did a mind mapping exercise and then set up our goals and etc. on a sheet of paper...
The thing about vision boards is that they allow you to bring in more senses IMO...
There are things that trigger each of us differently i.e. pictures, a lock of hair, or perhaps a receipt, etc.
The vision board concept allows us to add into play more than a list of goals and tasks (and timeline)...
Then you add passion and emotions to the mix, which is a powerful factor...
Wow!
I use the old-style lists plus the vision board to keep myself motivated and moving forward...
Whatever it takes is what I say.
The important thing is to be moving forward (while adding in some "you" time too - no sense in becoming a robot!)...

Congratulations and it’s great to hear from someone who has been here for a good length of time and obviously doing well.
I’m shy of 2 years here by a few months and just starting to see things happen, albeit not in the way I expected.
I’m still learning and feel like I always will, which is ok with me because I enjoy it. And the writing gets in your blood…lol..ink in the veins.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your story and many more to come.

The same happened to me at that 2-year point. I decided to reevaluate and refocus and set some new goals and plans to achieve them...
This is not something that requires a 60 or 70-page business plan to put together/enact either. A small business has the flexibility that some bigger organizations do not have...
It sounds like you are on the right track to me. Writing does indeed get in your blood. Let us all know how it goes and add any lessons for the rest of us if you would like! We will all be better!
