I am working on a new blog post for mothers day massage and if I search mothers day massage beachwood, my website is listed in the SERP results for MOTHERS DAY MASSAGE SESSIONS

Hi Donna,

There are a few ways that you can do this

1 - you can update your 2022 post

2 - you can create a new 2024 post and then redirect your 2022 post to it using a 301 permanent redirect

3 - you can ask that google remove that page from the SERPS via Google Search Console. I do not recommend this, you may as well use the indexing that you have to point to your new content.

Since the 2022 post is now completely outdated - I'd Do this:

- Create the new 2024 post
- Update your 2022 post and mention at the top of the post that you've got another POST for 2024, and link to it.

"You can find my NEW Mothers Day Massage Sessions 2024 Post Here!"

I'd leave the old content ranking as it is, but make a small adjustment to it to let anyone that searches for "2022" content to find it - but add a clear link at the top to your latest and greatest!

Hope this helps,

Carson

Thanks Carson. I literally deleted the 2022 post.

I created a brand new post.

Will the other one eventually disappear? Because right now it is still in the SERPs and if you click it you will get 404 error.

I cannot UNdelete it now.

I see - if you've deleted it, then Google will remove the ranking yes. If google crawls and finds a 404, then it'll update the rankings appropriately. In the future - you could use the solution above to give your new post some link juice from the old post - Either way, I'm sure your new content will rank under the "2024" search term.

Ok whew.

Yes. Definitely I won't delete next time.

Now here is another one for you. Google indexed my About Us page on my main website. I never make changes to it. It is sitting on page 1 of Google. I am clueless what to do about that situation.

Totally fine to have your "About Us" page ranked - I'm curious as to why you see that as a problem?

I want people to see everything or go to the Home page. I have never seen an About us page show up in search results 😳

I am thinking of adding more info to that page with a link to other pages.

I'm learning a hard lesson. Ever since keeping all my websites on wa I show up consistently on page 1 of Google. I never really took the time to LOOK at the SERPs in depth until now

Other competitors in our area are starting to show up above me and their meta titles and description are done properly. Mine are not. I was just so happy to be on page one but that mistake is now catching up with me🥺

What keyword are you searching for when you find your website in the SERPS?

Google is going to rank the most relevant page, so perhaps the "About Us" page has some content that Google is finding more relevant for the particular keyword you're searching.

And in regards to your description and meta titles etc - The All in One SEO plugin will help you fine-tune that content.

My business appears in the Google Maps listings but I am evaluating my organic results.

I have no links on that page. I will have to add some links after TYPE SESSIONS.

I have never had to worry about the About Us page before.

How do I get to specific training videos?!!!!

I don't need a hub.

I need training videos

Hi Donna,

What are you have trouble with? Can you send me the link on this site that you need help on and I can help you. Or tell me the training you are looking for and I'll will send you the exact link for you.

Best as always,

Simon

Can you clarify and give us specifics? I am not sure I understand.

You do not have to have a hub, though hubs streamline the process a lot faster now; you may be interested in reading Kyle's blog post. You can work on your website independently.

The training is here through hubs and via the magnifying glass top menu.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/hubs#training

Other training: The classes tab top menu
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/classes/

Hi Donna,

I'm glad you asked this and I can most definitely help out!

At any time, the core training is just one click away. Click on the "Search" icon at the top of the page, and the CORE Training is pre-loaded without even having to input a search. One-click you'll find both the "Core Niche Training" and the "Core Wealthy Affiliate Training" right there.

There a numerous benefits to accessing this core training through a HUB however.

Each hub tracks training progress independently. It's going to allow you to work through training on one to many hubs at the same time if you wish, and you'll always know where you left off with training for that particular hub.

For example, maybe you're at the "Create your logo" state for one of your hubs and are following through that training for one website. And maybe simultaneously, you've got a more seasoned website where you're working on Adding Affiliate links - so you're working on that training in that particular hub.

You're going to be able to independently know where you left of for each specific hub you have.

And of course, there are huge benefits of the Hub it's self with over 300 Content ideas, a Content Writing to-do-list, a Milestone and Task list...and the fact that your training pops up, can be worked on, and then you can close it down and still be within your hub.

We suggest that for every website folks have here at WA, they create a hub as the central place where you build that business!

Ok thanks. I just got back on here and see all the responses. I looked at the hub video. My biggest concern is the fact that I have more than 3 websites. So wondering what I do when I need to bring the 4th website into the hub. Then what?

My websites are for my brick and mortar business and I may even be working on an additional one that is not built yet. Why are we veterans of WA limited to 3 hubs. Does not make sense to me. Can we take a website OUT of the hub at some point to make room for a new one?

Also, my pregnancy website is already built. It already has a blog. I now need to write many more articles and add affiliate links. So would I start at the very beginning of the hub for it?

hve a look at your membership - i see that you have been here since 2015 - are you on the black friday deal and started with 50 sites - then that is what you still have...
click on your profile image top right and down to included with premium and see what is included with your premium membership....
the latest premium has hosting for 3 domains the old premium is 50 ....
if you are on the older membership there is no problem bringing in your sites....

Hi. Thanks. I have been grandfathered in to the 50 websites. But for the hubs, it says only 3 can use the hub.

yeah for the grandfathered account ignore that ....
try it with a few siterubix sites - i did and got over 12 and saw that Kyle said the old accounts can have 50 hubs....
send him an email and see if this is correct...
kyle@wealthyaffiliate.com
it will take a while to get an answer, but he does reply...

Oh wow. I definitely will. Thanks

you need to create a hub to get to a training video, they are actually inside the hub

I totally agree. Not all affiliate marketing requires blogs. The core training should be accessible without having to go to hubs.

Darlene

Yes. This is what I am trying to figure out. I am paying $600 a year - I want all the training at my fingertips so I can review training I need now. All my websites for my office are on wa. When it's time to do a big update, I like going back thru some of the training.

Precisely. I am in this situation as well.

it is - goto the spyglass at the top and scroll down a bit and it is there...

Yes it is but not in the usual, easy to read format. You have to fish through them one at a time. You used to be able to see all of the courses easily. You cannot any more. It’s cumbersome and difficult. It should be easily found for all and it is not.

To be fair the core training here is about creating your own blog,

I think you’re thinking about things in a way that’s limiting your potential here.

Let’s say you don’t want to build a website or a blog. All you want is to build a massive and profitable YouTube for example. Creating a hub here would absolutely benefit you in countless ways.

While the core training inside hubs is about building a profitable website, you could literally utilize the almost limitless content and topic ideas inside hubs for anything you want, like a YouTube channel in this example.

By default hubs gives you 10 categories with 10 article ideas for each category. These could just as easily be content ideas for YouTube. It’s really no different, and with the ability to add more and more categories and have the hub spit out neverending content ideas it’s like having your own expert business manager.

Now, if you were going in that direction I’d lean on expert classes to deliver the specific training you’re looking for (like building a successful YouTube channel) so you’re being Premium Plus is a perfect fit .

You don’t know me. I’ve been a member since 2019. I’ve been through all of the training and there are times that I simply want to get to a specific piece of training and review it.

Why should I have to muddle my way through hubs? Why isn’t the entirety f the training made easy to access for everyone’s needs?

To me, the core training is about SEO. If, however, WA is simple an affiliate blogging platform then it is severely limiting itself in scope and it will be increasingly difficult to market to others who have moved onwards and upwards to social media platforms.

WA is becoming a dinosaur.

WA is certainly not the best place to learn SEO , if that is why you are here, then you are severely limiting yourself

You are most certainly entitled to your opinion, since you have zero clue why I am here.

The worrying thing is, you don't seem to be sure either

What makes you jump to that conclusion when you don’t know me at all?

Ad hominem attacks are as low as the person delivering them.

Shame on you.

If you create a hub, you don't have to use any of the tools inside it at all if you don't want to, you can just create it so you have easy access to all the core training 👍🏼

My point is, why should I have to go through that? Why can’t all of the training be in a well organized spot that is easy to find so that I can simply choose the module that I require?

Well, I mean it is. Once you create your hub which takes all of 2 minutes all the training is right there for you, one lesson after the other.

It's no longer the 50 something lessons though, it's been considerably streamlined for easier consumption and then for deep diving you have the expert classes.

We're all creatures of habit, and change can be annoying, so I get it :) I hope you can find a way to get what you need that suits you.

Oh, now that’s really interesting.

When you say that the training has been “streamlined”, do you mean that we no longer have access to all of the training that we used to?

I was actually wondering/fearing that.

Are the “expert classes” those that have been provided by members?

Thank you for your insights on this.

Hi Darlene

If it's really important for you to work through the core training in the class platform, then you can do so but I think you'll find that when you work through the training via a HUB, you'll find a lot of benefit from doing so.

If you want to know where you left off in the training, then you're going to want to do so via a hub. It's a LOT easier to find the training too once you build a hub.

Once a hub is built, you can click the "Training" link at the top of WA in the main menu, and it'll take you directly to the training section of your hub. The last class you worked on will be highlighted and you'll be able to know exactly where you left off.

You mentioned this in one of your comments here:

"My point is, why should I have to go through that? Why can’t all of the training be in a well organized spot that is easy to find so that I can simply choose the module that I require?"

Hubs is exactly that. Hubs has allowed us to take the Series of training that we have, and string multiple series together so that anyone can work through classes in a way that makes sense.

If you'd like to access the series directly within the class platform then you can do that, but I think hubs is EXACTLY what you're looking for.

Organization.

It takes 30 seconds to setup a hub too - and 100% of the members that join WA setup a hub on the way in, so it's not an additional step they need to take.

So, to recap:

1. Click the Search icon at the top - and all the core training is laid out there and can be accessed directly.

2. The training is all laid out in an organized manner both within the HUB, and by clicking the magnifying glass (Search) in the main menu of WA.

We've got the most current training in the industry for SEO, PPC, Youtube, Social Media Marketing, Blogging, Affiliate Marketing, AI, etc, and the list goes on.

Head into Classes if you'd like to se a huge list of the categories of training we have - 100's of hours of training on many topics other than SEO.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/classes

Happy to discuss further - and to hear your ideas on further organization of training if that's what you're looking for.

Hubs was a solution to this exact question and as mentioned above, all users that enter WA setup their hub on the way in, so they're strapped with the most current training available in the industry, organized in a way that can be sequentially worked through and tracks your training history.

Check out Carson's reply in this thread, it's the most accurate. He mentions that just by clicking the magnifying glass up top, the core training is actually preloaded without any search terms necessary (and without creating a hub)

Seeing as you were looking for the old training, that may be why you were getting frustrated, as it's all been updated so it's not there anymore. 👍🏼

Definitely check Carson's reply.

Wow! I signed up in 2019 and this is the first time I’ve heard word one from you! Nice to finally hear from the man I’ve been giving my money to every year!

Exactly how many classes in core training do we have access to now as compared to prior to hubs? We used to have over 50 before, I believe. What is the current count?

Thank you.

Great comment Eric - The "Old Training" was in fact just that "Old" and it was on a legacy system with little organization. We've replaced it with NEW training which is now called the "Core" training, it's kept up to date weekly. Super easy to find and follow along.

The new training is a number of Series linked together within hubs and the main menu. Regardless where it's accessed from, all of the Classes within the series are listed on the right - extremely easy to jump between the lessons in that series.

Organization is KEY to learning anything, but for anyone wanting to see 1000's of training resources, just head into classes and you can find them there :)

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/classes

You have access to 20 initial core training videos, and 12 core classes with each Hub. You can create a dummy hub if you want, but now your training is connected to your business.

You don't have to use the hub if you don't want, but it is the NEW and more efficient way to build a business. If you dont' want to use any of the technology, research, structure or streamlined approach within the hub outside of just the training, then you don't have to. Totally up to you Darlene.

I encourage you to create a hub, in any niche, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised and the Hubs platform evolves frequently, and will continue to evolve. It is the most efficient way to build out a business.

You also have access to weekly expert classes, and there are 20 or so training "shorts" through vlogs every week as well. Our training is more current than ever, and we equip you better than ever to build out your website/business in any niche through the new Hubs environment.

Nothing has been taken away, it has been refreshed (the training to be 2024 current) with a lot new features to speed up your business.

Hi Darlene - I'm the second most active user in the platform and am helping folks all day long, as well as being in charge of our engineering team which builds the very platform we're using - it's great to interact with the community and I do so daily. Kyle focuses on the Core Training, I focus on the technology behind the WA platform - but I'm very active!

In regards to the core training, you'll find 32 Classes, all VIDEO + Text. We took the relevant topics of the old OEC training that was 50 lessons, and built it into extremely current and far more thorough training that are 32 Classes.

We've got TWO sets of training as well,

1. Core Niche Training
2. Core Wealthy Affiliate Training (Bootcamp)

Both streams of training are unique, so there's a LOT of training available.

You've got far more training than you've ever had here at WA.

I really suggest setting up a hub, it's the control panel and brings all of your efforts together for your respective websites.

Content Ideas
Publishing
To-Do Lists
Training

There is little reason NOT to use our latest platform - it's an evolution that offers far more than the old linear training platform.

And of course, you've got 100's of hours of video in the class platform here, all accessible to you and categorized into over 20 verticals pertaining to building an online business. SEO being ONE of those verticals.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/classes

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I love hubs. However, as it’s mainly directed towards blogging, it is of more limited use for me now.

As more and more people in the affiliate marketing space are moving away from blogging, you might want to have a long hard think about what I’m saying.

Just a thought.

Thank you for the direct answer about the numbers. I appreciate that. Transparency is welcome.

Ok thanks

Moving away from blogging? Not sure what that means.

A website is still the foundation of any brand, and business. Without one, you don't have tangible business.

We teach websites as the foundation, SEO as the first focus, but also have a heavy focus and lots of training on Google Ads, Facebook Ads, social media marketing, youtube, and email marketing...which ALL require a website.

So blogging (building a website) is not going anywhere, anyone teaching otherwise is playing others for a fool.

Here is a video by Kyle about the hubs; check it out and look around hubs..... IMO, you would be shooting yourself in the foot if you didn't take advantage of the hub platform. There are training videos, and they are discussed in the video.

Thanks. I will watch but when I entered the hub area it said we are limited to 3!

Correct
Starter = 1 Limited Hub
Premium = 3 FULL Hubs
Premium Plus+ 10 FULL Hubs

use the spyglass at the top - and if you scroll down a bit then you see the core training as well...
the word balance is to do with the ai writer within the hubs system, it is all explained within the training....
what specific training are you after

Right now I am looking for more in-depth training on the legal stuff needed to comply with the FTC as to affiliate marketing. I am signed up as an Amazon affiliate associate and I will be promoting other non-Amazon products. I did not realize that you can be fined if you do not set things up properly. I need to get it right the first time.

sorry missed this one in the thread...
you really need to check out the terms and conditions with each affiliate program as they will all differ...
amazon does require some additional parts than most do...
you need to identify an affiliate link, you need to add 'As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.' as close as poss to the first amazon link on each page...
refer:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/help/node/topic/GHQNZAU6669EZS98
have you also reviewed and there probably are more resources but the search has changed a lot on here and not all relevant resources are shown...

And what is a word balance?

A word balance is how many words you have left to use AI to write your articles.

Those get refreshed monthly on your join date :) They do not carry forward to the next month so that I would use them.

Correct
Starter = 1 Limited Hub
Premium = 3 FULL Hubs

I have 3 facebook pages. Can I create posts and put affiliate links or is that against facebook guidelines?

If you share it on social media platforms, I would shorten it with pretty links before sharing, as some platforms don't like affiliate links shared raw as is.

However, what would be more feasible is to write a post, include your affiliate links, and share your post on social media platforms.

Alternatively, you could use plugins like Grow Social or Social Rocket.

Plugins and add new, input keywords, install, and activate.

So how do I shorten them? Is there training on here talking about all of this?

Pretty links plugin installing it on your website.

You can also use shorteners like Bitly or TinyURL.

I have more than one blog. I have not started including affiliate links yet in my content. When you add an affiliate link do you state what it is then say CLICK HERE? Then link CLICK HERE with your affiliate info?

You can share something more interesting rather than click here. You can input the #ad that covers your affiliate disclosure.

Please follow up with Kyle's resource.
