Hi Crayder, you can hook up your sites with Amazon API services which automatically updates things such as 'Price' 'Stock' 'Shipping' 'Discount' etc...only drawback is that you have to create an amazon sellers account which costs $40/month.
Ok, good to know. Thanks for the help. I was hoping there was a free solution other than checking all my posts & updating them.
I know there are hundreds of plugins. How do I know what plugins are available or ones that might be useful to me? How do I know find out about useful plugins?

Having the same problem, wanted to do a personal review on an item I bought, put in a link to show everyone. Turns out item is no longer available, must have got the last one hehehe. A re-write I think but would be handy to have a plug in that could search for the same item from a different one of your suppliers :)

I posted 4 new sites earlier this week but none of them are ranking on Google at all. I don't know why not. One of my keywords only had 10 competition sites but also had 3312
Are you manually telling Google to crawl your pages and submitting those pages to your site map in Google Webmaster Tools?
Steve, are you talking about using the "Fetch as Google" option? If so, are we supposed to be entering just MySite.com, or every single page?
As for the sitemap, do we just make sure the processed date is current?
Bart
Yes Bart, I use the Fetch As Google feature for all of my new posts and as soon as the process is done, I click submit to sitemap.
The only Google site I posted my pages on was the Rich Snippet tool. I didn't know about any other webmaster tools. I'll have to check out that video and see what it's about. Thanks for all the help everyone. I had my first review post show up on Google's search page 2 but now these new ones that have less competition weren't showing up at all so I don't understand why they weren't doing as good. Just seems funny to me.
If you wait for Google to crawl them, it can take several weeks depending on the authority of your site and things like that.
Me again Crayder, I have the same problem if I put my website URL /then the title of my post my ranking isn't so hot , But if I just put in my title ( which is my keyword phrase ) the ranking result is amazing, plus my URL shows as well. Anyhow best of luck.
Hi Crayder, have you set up google site map https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/setting-up-submitting-a-sitemap-to-google-webmaster-tools this is in kyles course 3 lesson 2 plus are you linked to Google+ this may help. Still a newbie myself but this has helped me. Let me know how you get on. All the best of luck.
I am linked to Google+ on my site. I did enter them in Google's Rich Snippet Tool. I don't know anything about the webmaster tools or how to use them. I tried looking at that site but it doesn't make any sense. The instructions are not helpful.
Ok, so I watched the video and downloaded the sitemap plugin. When I go to Google's webmaster page and enter my page, it wants me to verify it. I can't figure out how to upload that file to my page or any of the other methods to verify it. I could use a little help please.
Hey Crayder , I got this link from AntonG and found it easier
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-verify-google-webmaster
Try it out.
Hi Jim. If you do your search with "Quote marks" you come up fine on page one, there are only 10 results and your site has 4 of them. without the quotes your up against over 400k of them.
I did do a few bits of research and at this moment the main problem is that your site is just too new to have any authority yet. It may takes months of posting content before Google and the rest really start to show results on your sites posts.
Trying to rank on a new site, can be rough. Being as your domain is only a month old, Google and the rest do not know just who or what you are yet. Regardless of what the online "GURUS" tout, this is no get rich quick business.
I know that there are posts that can rank quickly, but they come from well established websites for the most part. Right now you're trying to rank that article against some major sites including the U.S. Coastguard, and Maritime Safety in Australia.
Be patient, keep posting and Google will start trusting your site and you should start seeing some ranking showing up. Best wishes on your endeavors.

Maybe I missed it in one of the lessons but how do you get and keep track of peoples e-mail addresses. Some comment sites ask for it. Are they keeping those for future mailing
Don't worry Crayder, usually the admin can't see the "Name, Email and Website" part but other visitors can. I too have visited your website http://boatingnavigator.com/ and commented before, and they asked for mine so it's okay ;)
I don't have an e-mail requirement on my site to leave a comment. Just the capcha field. I've noticed a lot of other sites do. How do I get that? Do I need that? Is that even the same thing for setting up a mailing list?
I just visited your site http://boatingnavigator.com and Name and email is required to leave a comment.
Ok I just found it. The fields are hidden until you click in the comment box. They appear out of nowhere to be filled in. lol. Never left a comment on my own site so I didn't know it worked like that. Thanks for the help.
You need to leave an email address to comment on sites but you shouldn't solicit them. You need some kind of software that encourages people to subscribe to you email list.
Yes, they have to "opt in" to receive future emails, and all of those emails need to offer an option to opt out. There are laws regarding this. Consider using a list service that handles all of these details for you. Mail chimp, iContact, etc.
There are probably opt in plug-ins for WordPress, and they send the users information directly over to the list company where you have the auto responder messages programmed.
You're right, I haven't seen this in the training as of course 4 lesson 4.
Bart
I'm not that far ahead yet to send out e-mail to subscribers. I was just curious about the e-mail field & why it wasn't on mine. Thought I was missing something. Got it figured out now. Thanks for the help.

I got a spam comment on my website from a website called Free Money System. Anyone else getting these? Is it a scam/spam?
Askimet is doing the job for me! I don't see any comments at all. Wait, maybe the spammers don't even find my site worthy enough to bother? Something to ponder.
Everybody gets spam comments, to reduce this use the akismet plugin it will reduce the spam by about 90%
I agree with Andre. Probably an internet marketer promoting yet another binary options app. The system only makes money when its users lose money so the odds are stacked against the user from the word go. My cousin is a trader by profession and he preaches to stay away from binary options apps. ~Jude
Another thing you can do when you get any so called spam messages is to rick click the link and if using Firefox open in private mode and you can see what there site is about. Half the time you won't see it the other half they are usually one page ads. Refer you my blog on 3 spams I got as an example it is not this one but might give you an idea of others link is below

Hope it helps to give you an idea.

This is another version of binary options trading. To me it is a scam. the add is very similar to the other like push button millionaire, Nighthawk and many others. I had those two as my scam review lost money in the process this was what brought me here. Yes you can make money off this when trading however many of the so called binary banks are selected be these scammers and you need to go through them. Most times they say it free as they have their magic formula better than the others (usual spool) it s free because it is just a link you get to their site but the catch is you need to join their binary bank of their choosing and then you need to deposit money to start off normally around 200 min later you will get a so called binary manager call you up mostly from England they say. They then try to get you to join their golden group as they will personally be your rep but to do this you may need to put in a further $5000 to get to that class to be of most benefit.
In the meantime that binary bank need to verify you details for any future withdrawals (which never happen) so they need a full COLOR photocopy of your credit card details along with bank id and drivers license all must be in color otherwise it is not accepted. (how stupid was i will I did that) I have since cancelled my credit card and got a different one.
So scam delete block whatever way you want to do just don't get involved with them they will also keep sending you emails and try to ring you up once they have your details.
Just to let you know never trust binary option it is really just trading on the stock market via so called binary banks with little creditability.
Take care be well
Andre
Wow, thanks to everyone for all the feedback on this. It's good to know. Thanks for all the helpful info. It does sound like a scam because it's too good to be true. I tried doing some searching online and the only thing I can find is "positive" online reviews encouraging everyone to sign up. That's usually a sure sign of a scam. One youtube video about it not being legit but that was about it.
I do get. Some slip through Akismet from time to time. Don't be too alarmed, I think most people get them now and again.
Someone tried to post a link in a comment on my a to z cash review but I deleted the link before I approved it and decided to engage. The link was for Income Revenue source. I checked it out after and it looks like a total scam. At least I will have something to review now because I'm going to investigate this one tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I already know but I like to join them 1st so I can give a accurate review
Spam comments are VERY common. Make sure to install and configure the akismet plugin from Wordpress, it's easy and it's free.
Actually Akisment is not free only free for personal use all our site are commercial and should be upgraded for a fee. If you wish you can go to my profile and look up the blog I have re akismet.
Take care and be well.
Andre
Yes, I get a few spam comments. I have also found that ASKIMET will label non-spam comments as spam, so it is worthwhile looking and the comments labeled as spam to see if they are worthwhile publishing.
I guess there are a lot of people with nothing better to do all day than to go through blogs sites and write silly comments.
I've heard a few of you say that you are getting "legitimate comments?" Just curious how you are coming to that determination? Spam can often be well disguised....
If someone is commenting about my post topic, and nothing else (no links, no product mentions, etc.), isn't that legitimate?
Or maybe I'm missing something, being a newbie here.
je1777, would you elaborate about spam being well-disguised?
Bart
Hi Bart
i looked at your site, and most of your comments seem to be legit comments from folks on WA. Occasionally, I'll get comments like "I really liked this article, do you mind if I share it on my Facebook page?" with a link to some viagra or other spam site. Those are ones to watch out for. I also look at so-called "legitimate" comments, and the website links that people are submitting with them. If I think that someone is just submitting a crappy comment to gain a backlink from my site, I will often classify these as spam also, and delete them. Just my two cents...
Thanks, that's helpful. Spammers are obviously very tricky, so I'll be sure to watch for odd comments and links.
