I am a distributor of organic and herbal products for a company. The compnay has supplied me with a website that they created but I'd like to create a website to promote that websi
I think that does no harm by diverting traffic to that website, but you might want to consider many other things before you do that.
Maybe, does this organic and herbal products website able to detect or do they reward you for your traffic. (Obviously those who purchase.)
That is just one of the things that you will want to check out and see so are many other aspects. Just some thoughts about it, hope that it will help you.
Anyway do have a great day and hope to see you around.
Yes - think about Amazon - if you create a site to promote products on amazon, all you are doing is referring people to their site.
Similarly with the Affiliate Bootcamp - all you are doing is creating a website to talk about the benefits of joining WA.
As long as you can refer people through your affiliate link with whatever site you are sending people too, then there is no issue.
All the best, Mark
If you build a Website here with Affiliate links sending people to the other website that you have should not be a problem.

Is creating a site to promote an existing site allowed?

You have to check with the company. Most will spell out what is or isn't allowed as far as promoting their website. If they have given you a replicated website, then it really belongs to them.
You should be able to set up a generic lead funnel into an autoresponder which you can feed into your affiliate site. You may not be able to use their name in the funnel.
Your upline should be able to point you in the right direction, if this is multi-level. If not, check with the company directly and remember to save any correspondence in case there's any backlash.

This is really insightful, thanks. It is a multi-level scheme and I do know they have their own rules about how distributors go about promoting the products. Now that you have raised these points, I just might be prohibited from creating a site, the way in which I had in mind. I'd still look into it though, directly with the company as you suggested. Thanks again.
Please don't call it a scheme. The word insinuates something negative, so I don't think you meant it that way. Otherwise, why would you represent them? Multi-level is simply a marketing system.
That being said, some companies have strange rules about advertising, so as an affiliate, you need to know what the rules are. Most companies publish marketing guidelines for their distributors, so you shouldn't have to dig too deep.
An advantage of creating your own lead funnel and capturing prospect information is, if you decide to change or add companies, you have a list to work with. This is important if you are promoting the products or recruiting distributors into your downline. Keep me posted.
I really don't want to get in an argument with you but scheme also means a system, plan, programme etc (dictionary.reference.com/browse/scheme), so there is absolutely nothing wrong with its use here. Anyway, I'll send the company an email to inquire about the possibility of creating a separate website.
