¡Visa contacted me several times to ask me to join their affiliate network. Has anyone ever heard of them? It's not Visa, but ¡Visa. ( https://www.ivisa.com)

Did some more searching and found out that we actually have iVisa on Awin! It's managed by an agency called Affilired, who focuses solely on travel, so that makes me very happy that they are indeed a quality company. On Awin the commission rate is 10%, which sounds better than a $20 gift card. If you want to join on Awin here's the WA link to do so: https://tidd.ly/49erIB2

Hi Jeannine,

Thank you for checking that! I will sign up for sure. I am just confused why they contacted me because I don't have any traveling websites, but it could work :-)
Their terms and conditions state that they pay affiliates 20% commission, not a gift card. I think that the gift card is for customers who refer new customers to their business.
Have a nice weekend!

You are well covered here with some excellent advice, and guidance.

Please let the community here know if you still have any further questions.

Visa, not to be confused with the credit card giant, right?
Well, it's always a good idea to do your due diligence when considering an affiliate network.

I've seen some great feedback from other members here, but what caught my eye is that it's been featured on CNN, and they seem to have a solid social media presence with a whopping 70k on Facebook.

Scroll down to footer area for their socials.

Still, a little extra research never hurts, so make sure to dig deeper and see if it aligns with your goals.

Yes, I saw that too. I went on their FB and saw the number of followers.

No I haven’t, if you can’t find anything on internet walk away, sounds iffy to me …

I've been in the industry for 25 years and I've never heard of them. That doesn't mean they aren't good, but I would indeed be cautious. Is there a specific program they want you to promote?

Referring folks to them, Jeannine :)

So you are referring other affiliates to them, or that's what they want Christine to do?

That's the info of their website

"Give 20% Off And
Get $20 with IVisa
Sign up and earn a $20 gift card for each friend who completes a visa application through iVisa.

They get 20% off iVisa processing fees using your link! Win-win."

Given the $ involved in visa applications, especially expedited ones, a $20 gift card seems kinda cheap. If that's really an area of interest for a site, I'd investigate the other advertiser options out there before starting to promote this one.

Good call, Jeannine :) I appreciate it.

I am considering starting a credit card niche, as I attended Vitaliy webinar early in the week.

If you decide to do that, let me know. We have one of the top ranked credit card marketplaces on Awin and I personally manage that program.

I sure will do, and that's awesome, Jeannine! Thank you.

This is probably for customers referring new customers. Their terms and conditions for affiliates state that they pay 20% commission.

Yep :) It is.

Be wary, Christine. I have lots of scammers after me.

Barbara

They have terms and conditions on their website. And great Trustpilot reviews, but I'll check more into it.

I have not, sorry. However, I would be wary and do a due diligence, which I am sure you know.

OK, thanks

Np :) That's trust pilot

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ivisa.com

Thanks, it looks great. Their website also mentions the Trustpilot reviews. I may sign up.

I leave it to you, however I would do more research before I apply :)

Hi,
I had a website moved to another host a few weeks ago, and the person who manages the website now told me that the transfer went well.
But I am still seeing the webs

I would call upon site support and check the status.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Thanks!
Just another quick question, the first month is still $19 US if a new member signs up within the first 7 days, right?

Those were under the old rules that are no longer valid.

Now, it is $49 monthly for a premium, collected automatically. And $99 monthly for a premium plus.

They can also subscribe yearly.

If I create a subdomain for my author website, how can visitors find it or even see it? Do I have to link to it in my posts? From what I read on Google (I skimmed the info), i

Not sure I understand exactly what you want to use it for, but, in general, good to keep in mind that in terms of SEO it's better not to use subdomains. Best practice is to keep all the SEO "juice" in subdirectories so your domain can benefit. On the other hand, if this is a purely technical reason and you are not benefitting much from the content in the subdomain, it could be a viable strategy to use one.

Ok, thank you :-)

Hi Christine,

Everyone else answered your question. I am only sharing what I did with my subdomains. I have two subdomains from my two domain websites. It only is used for redirecting to my WA affiliate link. That's the sole purpose of using my subdomains.

OK, thanks, Brenda. I have never used subdomains before. But this is good to know.

Hey Christine,

Woooaahhh, what like a ghost?!! LOL!

Yep, as Kyle says, a subdomain also serves as a website in it's own right.

If you think about it, all the FREE siterubix websites here are subdomains, there's plenty of these subdomain websites around like Blogger, WordPress .com (we use WordPress .org for our websites), and even Wix and SquareSpace have their own "subdomain client websites".

So, they have the ability to rank in the search engines, yes, but unlikely through a one-page subdomain website offering a free book. Therefore you wouldl have to "send" traffic to it some other way.

However, once more, as Kyle has mentioned, if it's a page that you simply want to lead potential customers too, which you DON'T wish to "ranked" in the search engines then you can create a page on your current site.

So, the url would be exactly the same as your posts' url structure, e.g.

christineswebsite .com/free-book

If you actually want the "page" or "subdomain" to "rank in the search engines" then normal "on-page SEO" rules apply, but you're going need a ton of "off-page SEO" to get it to rank for certain keywords.

I think, a little like Kyle, I'm confused, Hahaha!!

Do you want the "free-ebook page/website" to be visible in the search engines or would prefer that it isn't?

Partha

Hi Partha,

Thanks for your reply!
Now I'm confused as well ;-) I do want it to appear in the search engine. It hadn't occurred to me that a subdomain might perhaps not such a good idea for that ...

If I create an extra page for that, how do I keep the posts (for example, one chapter per week) away from my home page?

Also, I am not offering it as a published book, but more like chapters in blog posts.

You can publish your free ebook as a pdf, upload it to your media library get a link for it to share with your visitors or correspondence.

You can also password-protect your work; a user can access only with the password.

However, I think you should have it on your main vs. subdomain, as it may benefit from the combined SEO.

I personally would not go with a subdomain.

Thanks Abie,

Yes, that makes a lot of sense.

You're welcome :)

Kyle got you covered here.

I am asking because I have issues getting something done on a particular online platform (which is not mine), and it is impossible. I click on the time I want to book a meeting

A completely white screen on your computer typically indicates a problem with the display or the software running on your system. There are a few possible causes for a white screen issue: To resolve the issue here's a couple things to try,

Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary glitches or software-related issues.

Check hardware connections: Ensure that all cables and connections between your computer and the display are secure and properly connected.

Thanks, but this has been going on for months. Everything is always connected, but I'll try to restart the computer and see if it makes a difference. I doubt it, though, since other people are also having these issues with the same website. But I'll try and see what happens.

I only know of one more thing to do:
Boot into Safe Mode:
If you can't access your desktop, try booting your computer into Safe Mode to troubleshoot software-related issues without third-party applications running.

If you're still experiencing the issue even after attempting these steps,
The Abie offers a website that might provide assistance.
However, if none of the suggested solutions work, it's advisable to seek help from a computer technician or support professional who can accurately identify and resolve the underlying cause of the white screen problem.

Thanks! Yes, I already wrote them to tell them to get help from a technician.

Sorry, not got a clue.

I have had some photos disappear and see a little box and don't know why that happens sometimes but not always. I have got blank pages once in a while but not often.

Hi…Abie has given you some very good advice and guidance here…let us know if you have any further questions.

-Mike

Thanks Abie,
This helps a lot! I'm going to write them now.

You're welcome :)

Hi - link exchanges are against Google's guidelines, and one of their recent algorithms cracked down on this, many websites dropped significantly in the rankings.

"Google uses links as an important factor in determining the relevancy of web pages.

Thanks, Diane! I could use the money, but what I find weird is that they asked me to place a link in exchange for a payment when my mental health website - although it seems to get attention - doesn't get a whole lot of visitors and I haven't worked on it in a year...

I would do my due diligence and check if the asking party is not an agency working on behalf of a client.

They may be seeking backlinks.

However, if their site isn't up to standard, there's a chance they may drag your website downwards.

Resource

Their website looks good, it's Creately, I think they're known but I'm not sure, or maybe it's just me who has seen the name more often.
The website they want a link on and pay me for it is also a website with a low visitor count... So, I'm not sure why they're contacting me, but Partha's post is very enlightening. Thanks for sharing!

Back when I had a very successful work at home blog, people frequently paid me to insert links. It's definitely a thing.

OK, great, good to know :-)

Christine,

I am not 100% sure on this one. I know there is paid guest writers on a website post. I will see what I can find. In the meantime, you will be getting feedback from the community.

There are some really smart affiliate elites on board.

Yes, it's for a backlink. I just didn't know that one could sell them.
Thanks for checking :-)

Christine,

Check with Diane Scorpio.
Just to make sure.

I guess you can use your discretion on this one, Christine.

OK, thank you!

My pleasure🌸
