One of my websites is over a year old and is still only getting about 10 - 25 visitors per day. It has roughly 105 blog posts and a decent size social media following of about

This definitely sounds like an SEO issue ... if you have that much content, as long as it is unique content, it should be generating more traffic than that. Go through each post and update the Keywords, use long-tailed keywords (phrases), use the tools to analyze the keywords in each blog to ensure they are relevant to the content. Check your heading text .. is it interesting? Does it draw the person in to get more information? With that amount of work I would not just trash it ... but all new content should be created with good Titles, Keywords, and Unique content to start generating a major difference.

Great point. I will say some of my older content is not as good and probably has a lot of on page seo updates I could make. Thanks for the input, great advice.

I would second the second option i.e. review and revise the existing blog post. If need be, have a post-mortem on the 105 posts and see how you can improve it (relevancy to your niche, more valuable info, etc) together with SEO strategy. You already have followers which you could leverage by informing them on the updates and ask them to share for more exposure.

All the best.

I agree, I think it makes sense to go back and regularly update older posts and apply new knowledge I've learned since my older posts were created. Thank you for your advice and inspiration!

I would not stop. You are barely at the tipping point at 105 blogs.

Thanks! I sure hope so, I guess from my point of view 105 posts seems like a lot but I've only been doing blogging for close to 2 years so i'm relatively new. Thanks for the advice!

Absolutely not - you've just crossed into what I call 'real land' at 105 posts... don't give up now.

Just to clarify, i'm not saying give up on blogging, just deciding whether this particular blog has any hope to grow with the stats I listed.

Just seems to me that 105 posts only attracting 10-25 visitors per day seems pretty low, and im debating if my time is better spent on one of my other (newer) blogs or starting a new one to replace this one.

I hate to throw away all that work, I agree so I'd prefer not to close it down. But if its not going anywhere then it seems it only makes sense (correct me if i'm wrong).

Can you explain on what you mean by 'real land'? I assume your referring to a decent base of the number of posts?

Well, how many of those 105 posts are first page - work on improving content - 100 posts on Google first page should generate at least 1k visitors per month.

And yes, I don't even consider a site launched until it has at least 100 pieces of content, of which at least 10 percent are on the first page of Google search. Anything less than that isn't even ready for prime time yet, IMO.

I have had my automated messages set up for a while now. But I don't see anything in my message outbox, are they supposed to show as outgoing mail in my outbox? How do I know

Hi Cameron,
when someone accepts an invitation to join WA you will get an automated email informing you that this has occurred.

To check referrals click the $ sign in your homepage top menu.
Then click my referrals.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/referrals

Click on the referrals image this will take you to their profile page, your automated message should be there along with either Kyles or Carsons welcome message.

Hi Alex,
Thanks that helps! I see my messages are sending now, I just didnt see them in my message outbox which made me wonder if they were't being sent. Thanks for your help!

Go to your messages and switch to outbox. You will see each message your account sends

I checked my outbox and they dont show there.

My Google webmasters account says there are a bunch of errors for noindexed pages. all the errors are the category pages and they are set to noindex right now on my website.

Great question. I only choose no index in SEO for my privacy policy page. This page is a duplicate therefore we do not need it to be indexed.

Oh, and one more thing.
If you have pages set to no index (such as your privacy policy)
In the area under your page where you clicked the no index, you will also see "exclude from sitemap" click that as well.

Never needed to do that before but, I'm assuming it's a new thing in All In One that came about in one of the recent updates.

That will prevent the plugin from sending your no indexed pages to Google.

I believe that I remember Kyle stating that it isn't necessary to index categories and tags.

The likely reason you are getting the errors in Search Console is that you have categories set to no index in the general settings but, you may have categories checked in the taxonomies for the xml sitemap settings, therefore, the categories are being submitted to Google through your sitemap (that are set to no index in the general settings).

The way to fix this would be to go to your sitemap settings and have only posts and pages selected, then click update sitemap.

Also click to view the sitemap so that you know what is being submitted

Then go back to Search Console and delete your sitemap and add it again brand new (don't update sitemap in Google but add it again}

Then mark the errors as fixed in Search Console.
Google with then verify which could take a couple of days or so.

Thank you for sharing. This is very useful!!!

You're welcome

In order to browse around WA the new person need to create a starter member account. So it will be the last affiliate link they clicked before registering for a new account.

As per my experience, the credit of referral will go to the FIRST page where a new person submits his detail and mail id. After giving personal detail on one portal if someone joins WA with some another blog or portal, still, the First Portal will be treated as his referral. Hope I made it clear.
