coming up with new content can be hard at times, and starting into a computer screen can make it even worse. I know it does for me anyway, I start feeling dazed and confused LOL
I am working in three sites, as well as another writing project on thr side that has nothing to do with websites. By having different options I never have writers block. If I get it in one plaxe....I just stop and work on a different blog.
Taking a break is definitely a good thing if you have a case of writer's block. Outside of that though, I like to peruse around the community to and do other things. Often I will find inspirations just by interacting with the community.
Hi, your better than I am so Im not really qualified to help, but I am always taking down notes in a pad and writing references then I come back to them, hope that helps
Anything helps! This is more of an open discussion more than a question. There is no right or wrong answer here everyone deals with this differently and gives others a chance to see how others deal with it.
I seem to have an unlimited amount of ideas so I don't really suffer from writer's block. I've immersed myself deeply into my niche, so I'm drawing inspiration all the time, everywhere.
The challenge that I DO face is getting those thoughts and ideas out and organised properly into a well-written article.
Wow that's great! The hard part is done then, there are a lot of ways to get those thoughts down and organized. I like to hand write all my content out first. Start with a main topic then a list of 3-5 things I can talk about. But maybe you should start a new discussion on the topic and see what other people do to turn their thought into great content.
In addition to what others have said you can browse through blogs and sites related to your niche to see some of the stuff they have written about. Don't just copy the content of course =) but you can def. use it as a starting board to get some ideas of what others are writing about. I personally like to browse the comments on big related sites because a lot of people will ask questions or add information that wasn't in the original post and these can lead to some great starters.
This is a great idea as well, doesn't hurt to check out the competition LOL. Your right lots of good ideas floating around in the comment sections, especially on the Q&A sites.

i agree with getting out of the house. Sometimes I'll take a pen and notebook with me and write it in the notebook. Then when I get home I'll type it up.
Yeah, smart phones are great I tell you, I was in the grocery store the other day and got hit with a ton of ideas. And I'm the type of person that will forget my ideas by the time I check out (let alone by the time I get home) so I just take out my phone and make notes as I shop.
Good question! I like to think of the questions that I get asked regarding my niche and then I find a way to answer them in a post. I do draw blanks sometimes, when that happens I typically take a step back and within a day or so I get an idea.

Another tip is to look up a news story related to your site's niche. Thn write a short summary of the article. Often that sparks an idea for you to write a full story about.
That's also a great way of coming up with new content.
