It's New Year's eve. Well, for some of the world only for a few hours and not even for other parts. Here's a time where New Year's is celebrated locally, if one celebrates it, and it happens every hour like clockwork in some different time zones for hours. I'm not sure but I think there are 24 time zones. And by the time the last time zone begins, it is the next day in the first. I tend to think global. For many of my Facebook friends, New Year's happens hours before it does in my time zone, ye

I've been away for awhile now. I didn't go to any physical space, I went away from virtual space even though what is here is very real and the access is in a virtual space. I just needed to clear some things out before proceeding with the strength and focus I needed to get back to my passion, my blog, and to learning the techniques and sharing with the community here. I'm not fully back, but will be soon. So, the title says planes. And unfortunately a commercial jetliner is missing. Of course,

Yosemite is the name of the latest revision of Mac OS. I'm a Mac user. I'm not an iphone or ipad user and this is relevant. Since Apple makes both and had a signature, very detailed look to their products, a photo-realistic look, ios7 was a big change from its predecessor. Some people welcomed it and others didn't. The heavily 3-D, very detailed look changed to a more popular, in-style "flat" look that relied more on colors but seemed way less detailed. But, there's something that I didn't real

Yes, I took a few days off not visiting and being very active in WA. My niche is improvisation in music and not this past weekend, but the Saturday of the past weekend, I spent a full day interacting with others doing this at a workshop. I'm a regular there, some folks were graduating, moving on, going out and spreading the techniques of the organization into their communities. This ritual, this graduation, is meaningful. The graduation is a performance that can contain audience participation,

I do music improvisations that I post to a site every event that goes from every Thursday night to Saturday night. There are times I'm very inspired and have a well of ideas and other times where I'm much less. I try to be consistent in posting at least 2 a week, so what do I do when less inspired? And what do I do as I've given myself an "assignment" to do them. If we here are giving ourselves an assignment to work on our blogs, create content, maybe tweak a few site elements around or add cat

I think themes matter a lot. Themes are your environment. I would encourage anyone creating their new web site, after carefully choosing your niche, to really take your time, consider a few themes, and choose one that matches your niche. It's your environment. So, if you are talking about being grounded, then a theme that looks like it is floaty on in the clouds doesn't quite go with it. If you have a children's niche, then something associated with children goes well. If food, then something t

Yep, as of Thursday or Friday I'll be going yearly. There's a lot of savings by going yearly, a one-time debit as opposed to monthly at a lot less per month. But more than that, this represents commitment. Commitment to WA, commitment to the training and mostly commitment to myself and my niche to work at providing what I came to do. I came to do this work on my time where I choose so I can, through my website, provide information. Turn people on to things they may not have known about. Learn t

You know that feeling, when entering a pool and the water seems cold and you go in slowly, the feet, shins, knees, then work to fully be in the water. Then you're in and you get used to it. Sometimes I feel that way with the whole online experience. I'm feeling uncomfortable but the more I look around and see where I want to go with social/business opportunities on the web, the more comfortable I can get. I will include other ways of income as well as what we do with our blogs as our primary ni

I was reading a Forbes article on getting traffic to blogs. One of the suggestions was to put a forum on the blog, it encourages participation and interaction. Has anyone done that? If so, did it bring in more traffic and what was your experience like?

My sister and I are in the process of selling our family home our father passed on to us. Since it is in poor condition, our realtor went with selling it to an investor. We were very close to closing and then he came up with a new condition, one that shows he needs to grow as a human. Doing business is a human venture. We are selling our home because of the passing of our father. It is an emotional draining thing to do. We kept things from the house that have sentimental value to us and said go
