Which is better? Having a static page with a blog section as the homepage or having the blog roll as the homepage?
Hi Belita - here's an opinion based on many years of using WordPress.
If your site is well known and set up for marketing a very specific single, or small number of related products then a single page can work very well as a home page.
However if the primary focus is currently on attracting as many users and potential customers as possible, and to market a variety of affiliate programmes, then using a blogroll as your Home page can be more useful to readers,

To set up, Settings > Reading.
You would have the homepage set up and ready to choose it, and then 'blog' would then be your posts page :)

It depends on your business needs and objectives :)
Suppose a service website or e-commerce static would be good. Otherwise, it's a blog roll. You find the latter may help with the search engines as the content is refreshed regularly.
If static, you may want to create a blank page, call it 'blog,' and add it to your menu. Any future posts will be listed under that page.

You've received great advice already. You can also have both by creating a static page, and then displaying your latest blog posts on the home page using the Latest Posts block. Eric did a short tutorial about this: How to Use the Latest Posts Block to Visually Display Your Recent Content

I'm using Jaaxy for keyword research. Is there an "SEO" threshold I should consider?
Starter websites above 95, in addition to AVG > 30 and QSR < 50 the lower the better.
You would also need to check the competition on Google Page 1 before settling on your keywords to see if you can make better :)

Hi, I have been posting three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I usually have two posts each day.
I think consistency is most important. Try to set a schedule for yourself; start by posting one or two posts weekly. See how that works for you; you can tweak it to your needs and how much time you have. I don't know if there is a good number, what fits into your schedule, getting a schedule down, like Sunday is the batch day, where I knock out an outline for several posts. Then, on Monday, I write it out ( I use AI Author sometimes, then I go to CHat GPT, mostly I just use Chat GPT for my outline, and then I go and put my voice in it, add images, etc) and have it ready to go.
I usually have several already, so I am not stressing about not having any content to post; it takes some time and some tweaking to get a good schedule, in my opinion, anyway. There are some good classes and training on this stuff too, which is where I picked up these ideas lol.
I also watch a couple of live classes during the week, keep up with the training, and sometimes just look around the classes tab and see if there is anything good I want to watch - I always find something.
Oh yea! I forget about the live training. But thank you so much for the reply. I like the idea of batching outlines and then filling them out over the week. That's a good idea! Then maybe I would feel more relaxed throughout the week, rather than trying to do everything in one day!
I write a blog post here every day, but as far as other writings, not so much right now.
Jeff
What does writing a blog post here do?Is it just to practice writing or do you share it, promoting WA?
It is just I habit I developed years ago, my friend!
My day starts well with it every day!
Jeff
I write 3 to 4 posts a week this is what I enjoy more , I don't know what the good number is .lol
Do you write and post them all on the same day (like have a writing/posting day) or write/post one each day or write and schedule them for throughout the week?
I write 2 articles at the time and I post them every other day, then I do another 2 normally, the same I post them every other day. Because I have a young child I am a bit less active on weekend when she is at home ,so I write 2 post on Monday normally and I publish one and another on Wednesday ,then I write 2 posts on Wednesday and publish one on Thursday and one in Saturday morning , More or less like that.
I do posts in batches :) I find this practical and works for me.

The recommendation is to keep updating blogs with 2 - 3 posts weekly for the foreseeable future.
Obviously, the less you post, the longer it takes. I would also focus on quality vs quantity.
Initially, you might write more to build up your site's content. Yet, maintaining consistency is crucial.
So with batches you have a writing day and post them all on that day or is there a way to schedule them?

I hope this isn’t too far out…Is there a way I can get a list of related articles in my niche? For some reason I recall a way to get a list of articles or news on
I ask Chat GBT 4 with web pilot for relevant tools and resources, including articles, news, etc. I always double-check because sometimes they are not found or don't fit what I need, but it gives me pretty good results.
I agree Google Alerts is a good resource as well.
Matt has you covered here, Belita :)
But I wouldn't include news on my website if I am starting... as those posts take time to get indexed and ranked, and the news by then will be old.

On Jaaxy I got:
Avg: 345
Traffic: 59
QSR: 191
KQI: Great
SEO: 83
I'm confused why does it say "Great" when the QSR is 191?
You may find that this keyword is used by established websites if that.

Look for searches (avg.) above 30 and competition (qsr. ) lower than 100, the lower the qsr the better. Starter sites SEO greater than 95.

For your choice of keywords, always do an incognito search on Google before settling on a keyword to see who appears on Google Page 1
Or you may do in Jaaxy tool search analysis

Thank you. I looked at who appears on Google Page 1 and saw no heavy-hitters. But the QSR is high...I just don't understand why the KQI says "Great". That's been throwing me off.
You want to look for low hanging fruit so QSR under 50 would be doable Understanding the Low Hanging Fruit
Thank you. I was just trying to figure out why the KQI said "Great", but like you said the QSR was high🤷🏾♀️
