When you have added your name to your website as new user, you can delete the admin user. After that, it will automatically use Alan-C
Ah, many thanks Loes. I thought we were supposed to keep it for some reason I wasn't aware of. I will get rid of it and remove the problem.

I loaded EWWW Image Optimizer and it worked on all of my images that were already loaded and pretty quickly too.
The next day I loaded 2 more images and nothing happened.
I like how it worked and the features it provides but now it has stopped working it is useless. I am going to delete it today and reload it. If that doesn't work then I will try Smush it. I will update the post when I know more.
I have done an update to this post and after deleting and re-installing it, EWWW seems to be working.

Has anyone ha this problem with ewww image optimizer?
I loaded EWWW Image Optimizer and it worked on all of my images that were already loaded and pretty quickly too.
The next day I loaded 2 more images and nothing happened.
I like how it worked and the features it provides but now it has stopped working it is useless. I am going to delete it today and reload it. If that doesn't work then I will try Smush it. I will update the post when I know more.

I want to put some tables into my posts. Are there any better Wordpress editors around to help do this. I do not want to get into html coding.
The Wordpress editor take
I never use the wp editor directly. I'm so used with all the tools in ms word that i cannot do without. So all the time I prepare what I have to publish on ms word, then I copy and paste it to wp editor. However I've never tried using tables. Actually I had no needs for it. Try it and let us know how it works. Many thanks to keep us updated.
Thanks for the reply. So do I use Word most of the time, but you cannot copy columns or tables from word and it I needed one or the other in Wordpress. For me Wordpress editors take me back 30-40 years when word processors were just getting going.
WP Edit provides both columns and tables, as well as a whole host of additional typographic and layout options.

I just got google webmaster working and it recommends that I add all variations of my website name. The one registered with it is
https://hikingandbackpacking.org/
Thank you for asking the question. I also want to ask : to which version we should send new post url for google crawl ? Https, http or all versions ?
The other variations are:
http://
http://www.
https://www.
Just click on verify after you add the other properties and it should work without any further changes.
You'll be prompted to set your preferred version which is https:// without the www.
I discovered why they failed. I forgot to go to the alternative method of verifying using html tag. Once I corrected that they were approved.

When posted an review onto Google+ plus today I did what I have done before, typed in my introduction from my article and then put in the url link.

Sometimes this does happen, why I am not sure. But there should have been a circle with two opposite facing arrows in the upper left corner of the displayed picture. Clicking on those arrows will cycle through all of the available pictures in your content.
OK I am going to try that. Thanks a lot.
I trie this and second time it did not show the problem. But I can see the arrows and when I click on them it only toggles between the correct picture and no picture. No other pictures from my post can be seen.
Sometimes it depends on how many images you have in your post and if those images are big enough and placed either in the center of the content or to the right.

It's only the default setting, once you've created your own settings you can delete it
