I'm getting the message 'browser security check' when I try to post from my website to Facebook. Twitter doesn't give me this error but won't complete the posting.
I've clea

That's normal :) And the new thing. You only see it one time... for a few seconds...

Hi Teri I get this too when I check into WordPress. It's a browser security thing, it's not a pop-up per se but when I log in it does say" browser security check" That is from the new Chrome version. Once that is finished then I logged in with no problems. I'm going to try it again and see if that shows up. It does with with all sites. I am sure there is a setting where it can be turned off. I'm going to investigate that.

See my screenshot- is that what you see? Its Chrome's new security thing with the new version.

Go to Settings then Privacy and Security if you have the settings on enhanced as shown in the Chrome screenshot

You can uncheck the enhanced to standard, then click the button for standard. I just did that, and there is no "browser security check," so you can fix it that way.

i get it when i post to facebook

I get the same thing. You said it won't let you post due to that. I could post with no problems. Because I changed the settings on Facebook. Which browser are you using? Facebook also has the same privacy and security check, you will need to turn that one off as well, same as I show in Chrome.

go to your Facebook settings and go to the help center type this in "Using Security Checkup to add security to your Facebook account."

You can turn it off. It's the security check that Facebook is required to use.

Chrome was already set to standard. I set Google to off for enhanced browsing. I hope my AV will stop stuff, lol.

For your sake, I hope it will stop doing that kind of stuff too.

Where are you getting this error? You will get this the first time you visit your content or anyone does, that is part of the caching here at Wealthy Affiliate that speeds up your website loading times, and protects it from any level of attack.

Is this causing some sort of issue? You won't see this too frequently, but after a website update the very first that visits a particular page will see that.

i have seen this pop up every so often. I've been able to get around it before, but this time it won't go away.

happened last night when I was posting new article and did the GSC stuff, then went to post to FB and X.

I'm getting my stuff organized so I can try a reboot.

i rebooted and it works now. it takes more than clearing cache to fix it.

i had just rebooted a bit before this had happened again, too.

I'm getting this too, and support told me that it was "The browser security check is the extra security layer added to WA server for preventing botnet attacks on the server. You will no [sic] need to worry about that."

This is a big issue - when I run my sites on Ahrefs or Semrush for an audit, the BSC interferes with the audit as those bots can only see "browser site security". I cannot effectively audit my site and see issues with my SEO. I am not sure when the decision to install this was made, but this needs to be investigated again - if it is blocking two major SEO sites like this, I have to ask whether it is also responsible for a noticeable decline in my impressions on GSC - and that's not good enough. Please investigate this. If WA can't fix this, I will need to move to another hosting site.

Same here... but even worse.

@Kyle, the BSC thing prevents me from doing basically everything: posting, editing, going to the WP settings, etc, etc, etc. (Note: I added my WA websites to my Cloudflare account.)

I've even disabled WA's SiteSpeed, but WordPress just works "normally" (albeit still showing the BSC message) when I pause Cloudflare.

Seems I'll never to change hostings.

P.S.: I also wish I could disable SiteProtect (Spam Blocker) since I opt to have no commenting system on my websites. But it cannot be disabled.

I got an email saying to NOT have Amazon affiliate links in anything created w AI. How does this affect Hubs generated posts?

It's not something they can police accurately. I'd ignore it.

I appreciate how confusing it is these days to know what to do with AI content.

I do listen to what other people have to say based on their experiences and research.

However, I also keep in the back of my mind that nobody has any concrete or definite answers to what will happen with AI.

It's almost all opinion and conjecture. At this point in time, definite guidance is an elusive creature.

Everything I do with AI, I do with my fingers crossed.

AI is the future :)

Hi - the way that I have read the new rules, is that you can't upload Amazon content into AI and ask it to be rewritten.

Such as a product description.

Because that would be classed as training the AI using Amazon material.

But, I have no idea how they would know this, and I can't imagine they have the resources to check every post of every affiliate.

I agree with you, Diane! 👍😎

Rock On! 🤘

Ok, crossing fingers...🤞

I joined rainmakers who train how do drop shipping with amazon so they tell us how amazon works.will know bc they using AI to and that’s what AI working on amazon search engine and they using secret other services like Uber and other bigger companies who can even activate your own camera in your own cell phone and without your knowledge watching you😂

😳

Hi Teri

If you use the research data from AI but rewrite the post to make it your own then you should be fine.

AI detectors are not completely reliable so Amazon is operating in a gray area.

Just my opinion. 😎

Frank 🎸

I do modify the posts, but not the whole thing. i just do the top paragraphs and some throughout.

A friend said that not to have AI gen posts, but all mine, so I'm concerned

Hi Teri

Go through all you content and add things like your personal experiences and opinions.

Also rewrite sentences that sound AI cliche, like “Oh, the ____,” etc.

At this point, Amazon would have to get rid of the majority of their affiliate associates for using AI, and that’s not really in their best financial interest.

Frank 🎸

Thanks, Frank. That is what I do already. Just worried, lol... trying to get away from Azon, but it has the books I like since I'm a Kindle Unlimited reader.

Teri

Hi Teri

Yeah, my wife loves Kindle unlimited, too!

She reads 1 to 2 books a day. 😎

Frank 🎸

I totally agree, Frank :)

Thanks, Abie! 😎

Frank 🎸

You're welcome, Frank! Enjoy your Tuesday :)

You too, Abie! 😎

Oooh!! Great question! Looking out for answers.
Having said that, if you've edited your content afterwards like we're supposed to, hopefully there's no trace of AI there. I know it's useful for me for generating, but I usually leave very little of the original because I just find it so much easier to write as myself once it's given me the bones.
