Ibis Galore after Hurricane Milton. Google Traffic Bumps from Beginner Guides.
HURRICANES
Check out the Ibis galore in our back pasture the day after Hurricane Milton! We had some cleanup of a bunch of branches and a $350 large split tree removal from Hurricane Helene. After two weeks, these branches are along our road, still waiting to be picked up by a new trash removal company.
We are lucky to live in an area that is a bit high, so storms seem to go around us. Our 1 1/3-mile wide dirt road is another issue. It gets graded often after every storm, but it's very bumpy, so it's slow going to drive on.
BEGINNER GUIDES
During these past two weeks, after watching Jay's training, I worked on one of my sites, making Beginner Guides. I'm amazed at how well these have worked for traffic! Almost immediately, the traffic to my new, small senior survival site grew from 34 visitors to 55 in just a week.
I've done three Guides so far. They are not easy to do if you follow Jay's outline and training. You first research the top three sites for an outline to use in the ‘Add content details’ section. You may end up with more than nine sections in Hubs, so you will have to add more sections manually.
You probably want longer text for these pages, so you might include charts, videos, or descriptive images to break up the text. I also use bold text and make a lot of lists of specific text to break things up and make them more interesting.
Check out the great class from Sept 27th by Jay on Beginner Guides called 'Building Topical Authority with Beginner Guides'.

Has anyone else tried these Beginner Guides? Have you seen a traffic jump after doing these guides?
How about the hurricanes? Anyone here from the North Carolina and Tennessee areas that were so badly hit by Hurricane Helene or in Southwest Florida? How are you faring?

Glad to hear that you're in a good spot, a friend of mine visiting friends in a rural part of town, west of Gainseville.
They seem to be in a great pocket, they are fortunate not to have lost any power.
Thanks for reminding me about the beginner guide training with Jay! I did watch that one, and I have a tutorial that will be posted soon.
I'm looking forward to continue with his email series.

Thanks, Rudy!
This area seems to miss the worst of the weather :)
I am looking forward to your supplemental training on the Beginner Guides!
Teri
You're welcome.
Boy, oh, boy, Tampa and Orlando were hit hard...
I don't know that I'll be doing any supplemental training, you never know, though...grin.

Hi Teri! I was wondering about you (due to the Hurricane Milton) thanks for sharing, I appreciate it. I will be working on this for my new blog. I lost traffic on my current site, now I am going to follow Jay’s training on that and email marketing too. Im glad Hurricane Milton didnt do too much damage on your property. That is good to know.
Hi Brenda!
Thanks for the appreciation. I appreciate you, too :)
I am kinda new to the email stuff, so I am also looking forward to this training. I'll see you tonight.
