Happy Sci-Fi day and A 2025 New Year message!
Happy Sci-Fi Day!
Hi all, on sci-fi day! Science Fiction Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated every January 2nd on Issac Asimov’s birthday.
I’ve been a major sci-fi reader since I was 13, when a neighbor introduced me to apocalyptic sci-fi, starting with Alas, Babylon. I’m on Kindle Unlimited, and I read a ton of serial-type books.
I’m reading Calizona: This ain’t yer Daddy’s apocalypse by Ralph Rotten. It is humorously crafted as a historical mocumentary told a hundred years after the rebirth of civilization. It’s a longer book than most of the books on Kindle Unlimited, and it has 2-3 more follow-up books. It’s a great read!
A 2025 New Year Message
I just had this message sent to me via email. I've rewritten it with AI to post here. It’s a great reminder to focus on your needs and get your work done. Now that the last of my breast cancer reconstruction surgeries are done, I won’t have those pesky weekly doctor appointments anymore.
I have more time to work, and during these holidays, I have been posting at least one article daily on my two survival websites. I can do more articles in the winter when I am less likely to do work outside.
The Message:
This Is Your Year
But only if you claim it.
Some people won’t hesitate to infringe on your time and peace of mind. They focus on their needs and will drain your energy at every opportunity.
This is the year to focus on your needs. That means building wealth and happiness—taking care of your body, finding moments of relaxation, and clearing your mind of unnecessary stress.
This year, you’re wearing two hats. You are no longer just an employee skating by with bad habits; you’re both boss and worker. You’re Jekyll and Hyde, good cop and bad cop.
You’ll tackle this year like an employee fighting for a raise, fueled by ambition, and like a boss who demands nothing less than excellence. You’ll ask yourself if you’re giving your best effort and answer honestly.
Excuses are a thing of the past—they belong to 2024. In 2025, you’ll adopt the mindset of a true entrepreneur. You’ll analyze, improve, and try again without complaint when things go wrong. You are no longer just an employee skating by with bad habits; you’re both boss and worker.
This year, you’ll work harder than ever, driven by your hunger for a better life. You’ll stop hiding behind phrases like "shiny object syndrome" as if success is out of your control. You’ll take full responsibility for your decisions, learn from missteps, and grow stronger with every move you make.
Over the next 12 months, you’ll master time management and spending. You’ll set clear goals, create actionable plans, and stick to them. No distractions. No wasted money on tools or courses that don’t serve your purpose.
most significant
Want money? Go earn it. Want to lose weight? Start now. Want peace? Build it.
In the past, you were your most significant obstacle—whether by the choices you made or the ones you avoided. That’s behind you now. There’s no need to apologize for it. What matters is that you see it clearly and are ready to take control of your life starting right now.
This is your moment. And I’m genuinely excited for you.
You’ve got this. You’ll analyze, improve, and try again without complaint when things go wrong.
Good luck and best wishes for a prosperous new year!
Teri

Amazon makes it hard to share Kindle books, Steveoi.
You have to be logged in to the user who owns the book.
I love be able to read at night on my phone and always have my book available :)

I’m a kindle Kop out. I know nothing about them except you can use them to read books that you buy in downloadable format.
I gotta get one…
Steve
