I have noticed that there is no longer a link to "leave a comment"
very strange, how can visitors leave a comment when the link no longer exists
comments is enable
thank you to those who have replied,
I was the cause of my own grief!
there was a setting in the theme that I am using that allowed me to:
- "Hide bottom post info:"
the result of this selection was to:
- "Hide entire bottom info line (posted in, comments) of post."
I had selected it to clean up the look of the post, however, by doing so I also took away the opportunity for feedback.
the lesson in this is to be careful of the setting I choose!
all the best,
Are you talking about fiftyplusfreedom? There are comment sections at the end of each article .... but not on the excerpt.
what prompted this question was another blog I have that I was seeking some feedback from close friends and family
however, the it did extend to fiftyplusfreedom as well
in a separate comment on this question I have shared how I caused my own grief!
all the best,

I'm glad to know about the settings. I had forgotten about that. I did the same thing one time - It would be great to be able to remember everything like that in particular, but a blessing we can't remember some things. Best wishes to you!

yes, it is always good to have support when our own memory fails us in the moment!!!

I have just created a tutorial and clicked on the link to "Publish" the training.
I have gotten some feedback that the training is "Not Published"
So, I went back in
It seems that whatever the issue was, it is no longer an issue!
Now looking forward to some feedback that some members have successfully gone into the training.
all the best,
No, you can have 7 pages.
What is required is a feature picture, over 4 pages, and tags, otherwise I wouldnot know.
It's the
Capturing Email Addresses with MailChimp?
It is on your profile , but not accesseble.
I think you need to send in a support ticket
got all the essential elements in place,
I can access it on my profile, but I do also have a band indicating that "This resource is NOT published"
that was to be expected while creating the tutorial, but why is it still there after publishing it!
I have sent an inquiry through the contacts link you provided,
will advise as I find out more!
all the best,
Their has to be something that your not completing in the process of publishing. I would say go back and double check everything, their has to be an answer somewhere in there.
been there -- done that
that is the frustrating part
I am contemplating -- tho not looking forward to -- deleting and re-creating the tutorial
all the best,
Does it need to be reviewed first? Not sure but it would seem likely! You may need to open a support ticket?
thanks for the thoughts,
there is nothing to indicate that tutorial training needs to be reviewed before being published
the review happens after it is published, if there is incorrect information that would be communicated in the comments
this maybe something that a "support ticket" is needed for, even though it is not about hosting

I have my websites hosted on another service, but want to give the revised SiteRubix a try.
I have used Duplicator in the past to successfully move a site from one host to
To begin with, I must apologize for being rather short in some of my replies.
This has been an interesting discussion.
And rather frustrating too.
It would seem that noone knows about duplicator or even what it is.
To solve the mystery, Duplicator is WP plugin that "duplicates" an existing site.
It can be used as a backup utility.
It can also be used to move an existing site from one host to another host or from a testing environment to a live environment.
The answer has been found and it was posted about 2 years ago:

"I tried using "Duplicator" but it requires server access and as I explained earlier we just don't have it and dont think we ever will"
As for moving the website, for various reasons, it is not happening.
Thank you to everyone who did engage in this conversation.
all the best,
Here is a link for the Duplicator instructions etc.

I know it has been a long time since this question came up, but did you ever think about getting on live chat. Be sure you get on in the early morning before everyone gets tired and ask first, if any one there is knowledgeable about your subject.
Why did you join WA, if not to learn! I had been used to doing things, mostly my way but was not getting anywhere. Now, when I learn to do something & repeat it in other websites then I learn. Repetition is part of learning - but I'm learning the correct way. Good Luck!
learn -- yes,
have pappy smurf do it for me -- no
my plea was for help to move beyond what I already knew -- in other words to learn something new.
btw -- that is why I joined wa
Hi Adaba
I understand the point that you were trying to make when, 20 hours ago, you wrote; "but that is missing the point, this is about learning how to do things, if our teachers in school did everything for us, we would never learn anything." However, may I suggest to you that you consider looking at the situation another way?
As Sharon Allen says, below, you came to W A to learn, correct? So, I suggest that you think of this as your new school; and, that Kyle and Carson, and the more experienced and successful members here are your new teachers.
If you can accept that premise, then I further suggest that you listen to your teachers, in order to learn, then; once you've listened and learned, you can put what you've learned into practice.
Live long and Prosper!
learn -- YES
that is what I am calling out for
so far, noone has addressed the question that I posed.
it maybe that noone knows about duplicator or even what it is
that would explain why noone is able to help
I would not use it. I would just move the site here. It is my understanding all you need to do is change the DNS settings to move your site to WA hosting, which is included in your membership. Where is the site hosted now?
changing the DNS does not move the content,
it just makes sure that when the url is entered into the browser that traffic gets to the right place
it is the content on the already built onto the other address that I want to move as well rather than rebuild everything from scratch
You joined WA to learn, correct? Well then you need to learn their way,
if everyone that has done things with other products were to ask for help. K & C would never get anything done. Remember, when in Rome do as the Romans.
learn -- YES
that is what I am here to do
that is why I posed the question
but noone has addressed the question
Yes but it so much easier to have them get it here for you. That is why we have a great support team.
but that is missing the point, this is about learning how to do things,
if our teachers in school did everything for us, we would never learn anything
adaba063 WA is a community that we all are willing to help each other. So if you are stuck ask questions. It will also help your ranking in WA. The bigger your network the more support or help you will get. The easier you will find answers and get feedback on your site. Hope this helps explains a little about WA.
Just put in a ticket in the support tab on sitebix and they will help you get it here. Good luck
Tommy

I use Thunderbird as my email client, I can download my domain email, but I have yet to be able to send email from Thunderbird for my domain email account
--------------
I have used Thunderbird for years and found it very user friendly and stable. So much nicer than the dumb Outlook. But if you have to deal with multiple accounts, Gmail is even more user friendly and you will not have to worry about how to send email from Thunderbird for your domain email account. The settings are extremely easy to manage. I wholeheartedly recommend the transition.
thank you for the suggestion about gmail, however, I am resistant to anything that demands too much info from me & gmail does that.
t-bird has been able to handle all of my accounts except for this one.
it is a configuration issue, as soon as I can get this worked through, I plan to do a training on it
all the best,
At my level of ignorance, I've found with Thunderbird and other email programs that if all working well leave alone. As soon as there are some changes it can become a confusing mish-mash to sort out!..Sorry I cannot help you there. Hopefully there some techno-geeks out there!
I have found Thunderbird to be very easy to use, which is what makes the current situation so unusual for me.
Appreciate your comment, everyone has their own level of comfort with various programs.

In the bootcamp- phase 1, lesson 10, Kyle offers 4 different Q&A sites for finding out what people are asking. But I am at al loss how to use the sites!
Can anyone help out her
An example would be look around in Yahoo answers. I see lots of common questions in there pertaining to affiliate marketing.
Thank you for reminding me about this. I just found lots of great common questions on yahoo answers.
it really is neat how helping someone else, like you did for me, can also turn to your own benefit,
glad it worked out for you!
