Google AdSense Earnings Dropping
I am happy to inform the community that my site's earning from AdSense is improving for the past weeks. I thought it will permanently stick to the amount estimated for a lifetime, however, it did improve.
Yesterday I made some changes in the placements of Ads and I was hoping it helps. But just this morning I noticed my site's daily earning dropped for a certain amount of cents and I was wondering.

I search and this is what I found.
Improper ad placement can encourage accidental clicks.
What is improper ad placement? You cannot place an ad in such a way that you’re:
- Ad can be mistaken for:
- Site content
- Menus
- Navigation
- Download links
- Placing ads near:
- Video players
- Game windows
- Download buttons
- Aligning images with ads
- Placing misleading headers near the ads
I would like to show the following type of Ads for choices
1. Text and display ads--A simple way to get ads on your page. Choose the size, placement, and style you want to display.
2. In-feed ads--Ads that flow naturally inside a list of articles or products on your site, offering a great user experience.
3. In-article ads--Ads that fit seamlessly in between the paragraphs of your pages for an enhanced reading experience.
For the last thing I did I choose the third option and had it on my sites. I noticed that there were Ads in between my articles that can be mistaken as part of it.
I immediately removed all my Ads from all my sites and replaced them with new ones coming from the first and second choices.
I will be observing what will happen for the whole day.
Lesson:
Not all Ads that you can place on your site are beneficial.

It's on your AdSense Ads Units. Press My Ads and wait for the Ad Units to appear. Below it there is +New Ad Unit, press that and the choices will appear.
Hmm... I looked in there and I have nothing just an option to add ads. I have obviously not set something up properly.
My ads seem to pop up in different places all the time and often cover some of my text. I think I need to go back and check settings again but I cannot remember these three options.

You are right it's difficult to identify which ads on your Theme editor, it is easier to replace in the widgets.
What I've done is, delete my theme so everything in it will be removed then install the theme again, get the Ad codes and place it again or better have new Ad Units so you will use just the Text and Display Ads.
Thank you for your post! I've had ups and downs with Adsense, but have stuck with it. I, too, wasn't seeing much action and have been sprucing up and re-placing my ads, and it has been helping. There have been a few clicks here and there. I know it will catch on soon! Take care!
Yes, since it is one of our affiliate programs it is but proper to keep watch. I know too that many have made millions with AdSense so I want to see that in the future by discovering the way to go there.
At the end of the last two months Google has credited my Adsense account with less than the actual earnings. It does explain in the Help section the reason why they do that. However, two or three years ago they didn't apply that practice. It is disheartening to find the actual amount earned is a few dollars less than stated in the monthly earnings.
There are many things to understand about AdSense and I happened to encounter this. It's good though it's something minute I was able to notice it and it led me to correct what I have too.
Maybe it happened several weeks but I was not mindful of it.
Google AdSense is really finicky at times. Sometimes it feels like it isn't worth the trouble.
I know many have made millions through AdSense so I want to see how I can reach there. I have to watch and learn from it.
