Laugh World Laughs You
Laugh World Laughs You
Laugh and the world laughs with you.
Laughter is a whole body experience.
Our faces change and eyes widen and often tear up.
We snort through our noses.
We wave our arms about, sometimes insanely pushing the joke away.
Our shoulders shake if we try and hold it in.
Our breathing often goes into spasms and we hold it in or roar it out.
Our bellies take on a dancing move of their own.
Our legs often take us on a movement resembling drunkenness.
Laughter causes a release of Endorphins into the body. These are feel-good chemicals. They help us to relax, let blood flow around the body and we feel pleasure.
They also appear to supress the levels of Cortisol, the stress hormone.
There is an amazing bit of magic that happens when we laugh: people around us begin to feel happier and may well join in the laughter.
Laughter is a personal and a social experience. How much good can we pass around to other people?
A new discovery, (this is true,) there a style of Yoga called Laughter Yoga. WOW!
There is also an annual “Laughter Festival.” That makes me smile.

I love the deep down belly laughs! The kind where it hurts after, but a good hurt! My daughter and I are always laughing together like that! It's true that laughter is the best medicine! :)
