Getting Yourself Involved in the Wealthy Affiliate Community

Hi Folks,

Just been thinking about those first steps into the wonderful world of WA community.

If there is one thing I can say to help members new to Wealthy Affiliate enjoy your experience of journeying to success, it is ‘make sure you are involved in the WA community’. I believe this is the best thing you can do to fast track your journey to success as an online marketer.

If you are wondering why I’m recommending this, here are just 3 reasons I consider to be valid:

  1. Questions are continually being asked by members. This is one resource available for learning about processes and procedures you are not yet aware of in the realm of affiliate marketing. Occasionally, members are not able to answer a question but, by reading other members' questions, at least you have learned something new which you can go on and research through Google or Wikipedia, or some other resource. The main thing about this is – you are gaining awareness and knowledge about the business you have just ventured into. Also, you are able to participate by posting your own questions and receiving answers.

  2. Regularly creating blogs in the WA community. Your blogs not only help you to gain followers, they also help you to be recognized by Google. Create and publish a genuine and valid blog around chosen keywords, and you could find your blog ranking No.1 on Page 1 of Google. Yes, I was pleasantly surprised when first discovering this fact!

  3. Remember, there is a world outside of WA. This is the World Wide Web. And, the great thing to focus on is developing your profile within WA which will naturally extend to the search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo. This is where your future lies.

Don’t make the mistake of being shy or afraid. Build your confidence and get your name known by creating and sharing honest and relevant content.

Other great features of Wealthy Affiliate community to be involved in are:

  • Live Chat: - A great place to meet and help other members, and also extend your own knowledge.

  • Classrooms: - In the classrooms, under ‘Need Website Comments’ you can give comments and request comments on your own website. There is also the opportunity to request feedback on how others see your website.
  • Training: As you work through the various stages of training, make sure you participate by sharing content, where required. Kyle directs us on when, where and what to share.

The above points touch on how you can grow your profile within Wealthy Affiliate and beyond. And I’m sharing these thoughts for two reasons: The first being my own hesitancy to enter the community when I became a Premium WA member. The second reason is, I have recognized the tentativeness of some 'new-to-WA' members to take the first steps of participation with other WA members. The community is part of your membership. Do take time to reap the benefits,

Another viewpoint is: When you are involved with the community you are not only helping yourself, you are helping other members. As we all know, helping is a form of giving. When we give, we receive, and what can be better than that? We also have the opportunity to develop business-style connections or friendships with like-minded people. Take advantage of this warm and welcoming community and see your way to success.

Finals Thoughts: I feel certain that many will say they don’t have time to spend in the community, due to following training and growing their website. I understand that but, with careful planning of daily or weekly schedules, time can be allotted to your participation in the Wealthy Affiliate community.

I urge you to explore it.

Good evening Valerie,

In the beginning, one is kind of overwhelmed with all the new things. It is not always easy to know what one should do first, second, etc.
With time and practice, one can manage to do most things in the right proportions.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Good morning Taetske,

I agree with you. Everyone has their own way, but my post was written as encouragement to those who are rather shy or timid, as I was when first joining WA. I didn't recognize that I was not the only new member, and when I started getting involved with the community, new members were abundant and it made a huge difference to my WA experience.

Greetings from New Zealand. ~Valerie

Good Morning Valerie,

Yes, you are right. Coming on the WA platform one should not be shy to interact, write posts, ask questions as only like that you will learn and then be able to move forward.
Today is Monday and a new week has started. Cheryl wrote a post and said Christmas is around the corner. Do you also find that being on WA time flies even faster than usual?

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Good evening, Taetske,

Well, as I write this it is 9.50pm and I'm about to sign off for the night.

Now that I'm feeling better I'm anxious to return to WA training and community activities. I really did miss the community but was too ill to participate.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that my day has been absolutely 'full-on' at the computer, except for a long phone catch-up with my sister. I do need to take time out every hour to exercise my breathing, but I get lost in what I'm doing. The days are never long enough for me. I certainly do find that time flies very quickly when on WA.

Oh dear, Cheryl's warning about Christmas. Thoughts need to be directed towards shopping. Maybe October will be soon enough!

Enjoy your day, Taetske.

Valerie

Those who are active find we have a great community here.

Derek

Very true, Derek.
Thank you.

Thanks for the note Valerie. I agreed that the give and take of the community is priceless. But I'm curious about how WA blogs getting indexed and ranking on Google could affect my affiliate sites. How would google know they are related?? Does this give you more authority in Google's 'mind'?

Thanks Kat for leaving your comment.

To answer your question: The benefit of publishing quality and keyword related WA blogs may not have an immediate influence on your affiliate sites. But, when ranked in top positions in the search engines your blog/s will be seen, and no doubt clicked on, by people searching online for answers to related keywords/subjects. Over time, this helps towards building your reputation (authority) as an affiliate (online) marketer. When visitors to the web read and enjoy your content, they will either save a link to your website, or they will do a search to find you. I occasionally refer to 2 super affiliates I've followed from as long as 10 years ago. I don't actually follow them these days, but I recognize their value and enjoy a 'catch-up' occasionally.

So, it's not Google's 'mind' that's being influenced. What Google is doing is recognizing the value of your content and placing it in a top position that will assist people to find the help they are looking for.

I hope this helps you, Kat. Please be assured there will be value in your quality WA blogs. Earlier this year, Kyle included this subject in one of his blogs. I haven't been able to locate it today, but when I find it I'll send you a link so you can read what Kyle says on this subject.

Thanks for sharing, Valerie.

My pleasure Roger.
Thank you.

No problem, Valerie.

You are right Valerie, the community keeps me going during the times I can't write, or I'm too overwhelmed with my teaching job to get much of the training or blogging done. Reading other people's successes and helping with questions helps me stay motivated.

Great to receive your comment, Wendy. Thank you.
I understand how the WA community helps you to 'unwind' after a day or week of teaching and all that goes with it. I'm not a teacher but was Administration Officer for 17 years at a girls' boarding school. I loved my work there but often had overwhelming experiences due to the broad range of activity in a small cultural school.

All the best :)

Valerie
