I Think You Can Take Over The World

So, there I am, minding my own business and enjoying a few minutes of a series I'm watching, which is actually getting more and more out-of-date due to the length of time it's taking me to watch it. Then, the husband turns to the wife and says "I think you can take over the world from here"

In that single line, the mist that has befallen before my eyes, over the last few weeks was lifted. That one line dispersed it, instantly.

First off, this has nothing to do with me. My 'mist' is because of 'quantity' of life, plain and simple. I work best when my plate is full and currently I've just had to many ingredients on it, no biggy, it's all good and only getting better, so much better. I mean it was good already, I'm not saying it wasn't, you understand.

The line struck me as everything anyone could ever want to hear. Most definitely at a point where you might be feeling overwhelmed or unsure of the decisions you are making.

We all know that this type of work brings with it the 'naysayers' and that's par for the course. We can all write the 'motivational' post and tell each other to 'keep going' 'don't give up' 'don't quit' so on and so forth.

That's all well and good because we need it, some more than others, some days more than others. We might need that little bit of 'pep' on a daily basis.

But

To have the one person who means the most in your life, or the one you respect the most, or the one you want to please the most, or the one you want to impress the most, or the one you just want to make happy, the most. To have them turn round to you and say:

"I think you can take over the world from here"

Well, to me, that would make all the difference. I could face anything knowing that they thought that of me.

Here's a thought, there's nothing to stop us saying that, now is there ?
