So I've progressed quite a bit from my previous questions and have gotten products onto my website. The problem is, the page show the breadcrumbs of its default text which wooc

isn't it showing the category - so add categories to your product range and then change the products to the categories and it will show the breadcrumb to the category for easy navigation back to the main shop.
good luck
phil

Oh... I see. So that's how it works. Thank you!

Hello everyone,

So for my gaming niche, I feel that I need to create a price comparison shop for it.

Does anyone here have any price comparison plugins to recommend

I am not quite sure about the plug in for price comparison. Have you tried searching related questions in the seaech box? :)

Hey Edwin,

In Google searching "price comparison wp plugin" (without the quotation marks, of course) there a few plugins offered, along with posts suggesting which are better than others.

Running this search (or similar) you may find the information you receive there to be very helpful.

Personally, I have only ever created one product comparison table as mine offers NO prices due to the products each being from Amazon... and, I created the table manually as I learned HTML long before WordPress was ever offered.

Hope this helps you.

I've published a new post 2 days ago and it has already been indexed by Google whereas another blog, which has been out for a week already, has yet to catch Google's attention.

Oh, if only we knew.
Like God, Google moves in mysterious ways, its wonders to perform.
Your best bet is to implement the Google Search console. This will allow you to check individual pages on your site to see how they're going and if there are any issues.

Hi Edwin, at the beginning with a new site it can take time to get content indexed and ranked

The more content you produce the quicker the process. Just go with the flow things do improve.

It can be a time thing.

Have a look at this training by Jay you may find it very helpful and very workable.

Check it out. Alex

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the response! I'll check out the training soon!

Edwin

You may find it really helpful Edwin all the best.

Thanks Alex! You too!

Starting out really isn't easy and it'll take a few months more before things can start to take off.

Just hang in there Edwin, it can take time for things to fall into place we have all been in your position if we are honest I know that I have been.

If you get stuck then just reach out, all good.

So I've recently learnt about how a sitemap helps Google and Bing crawl my site but how often should I be submitting a new one to them? Do I have to do it for every new post I

I am not sure if I am understanding you correctly but, I submit each and every post. Right after I finish writing it.

Bing allows you to submit 40 links a month to start off with. I have submitted my post constantly so, I guess they have increased my submission to a 1000 a month now. Although that is way too many posts for me to create within a month.

And Google I am not sure of how many posts you can submit but, they have never complained as of yet.

Right after I submit the post. The content is indexed into Google within minutes or within 48 hours. Although, this is not guaranteed.

After submission, Google will show you a message saying that your sitemap has been submitted and that it will be in priority status. Something like that.

Now, it is not a requirement to submit each and every post. I just do. I got this advice from our WA Jay trainer a while back. If I could find the video I would drop the link, however, I can't remember what he has it labeled under.

To submit a post to Google you will go to Google search console and on the left, it says URL inspection or you can use the sitemap. Drop your link in there and click submit. Then wait for Google to give you the confirmation.

With Bing it is so much easier in my opinion. Anyways, you log into Bing on the left-hand menu you will select the would submit URL. Drop your link in there and that's it. Bing doesn't give you a confirmation. But, know that it is was submitted.

Here is a video of how to submit to Google search console. I think it is the older version of Google search console but, it is the same concept. This video might be useful as well I hope this helps...

I don’t submit it often..maybe once a month to pick up structural changes, etc.

Basically a sitemap will describe the structure of your site ... A new post wont create a new architectural level ... so won't change the sitemap ... On the other hand a new page, a new menu element, etc could change the site structure, in which case is recommended to re-submit the sitemap

Hmmm I see.

Thanks for your answer!

You're welcome!
