Hello again, Jimbo here...
A little tutorial on how I submit my latest article to Google's Search Console (formerly known as Webmaster Tools)...
You have to do it like this to avoid a boo boo.
When you copy your url (see example below) there are things you need to do so you don't end up with an error in search console. It's easy, really.
domainname.com/this-is-my-url-for-demonstration-purposes-only/
Ensure that you delete your domain name from the url, you only need the beginning of the url starting with the words, and not...
domainname.com/
so you would delete the above from the box when submitting.
Also, to avoid getting that nuisance redirect error, make sure you've got a / (forward slash) at the end of your url, like this...
how-to-avoid-errors-when-submitting-your-blog-post-to-search-console/
so, the full url as an example would be
domainname.com/how-to-avoid-errors-when-submitting-your-blog-post-to-search-console/
but we have to only add
how-to-avoid-errors-when-submitting-your-blog-post-to-search-console/ into the box within search console.
I used to get this wrong a lot and it bugged me heaps.
I think it was Ambassador Robert (Boomer) who told me how to rectify this anomaly...Thanks Robert! You're a star!
Thanks for watching, leave any thoughts below...
