The first thing we are going to be doing is retrieving the plug in so we first go to our website’s dashboard by clicking the “websites” tab, on the WA home page; then click on to site manager; and then log in to your website.
Instruction 1
Once inside and on the website’s dashboard hover over the “Plug ins” tab on the left side as in the top left screen shot of Image 1, then when the drop down menu appears we want to click on “add new” as in bottom left screen shot, then the “add plug in” window will open up as shown in the screen shot on the right side of image 1.
Image 1Instruction 2
Then type in “TablePress” in the search box number 1, then click number 2 the ‘Install now” shown in the top half screen shot of image 2. But make sure you have the right table plug in you want to use if you look around on this page when you’re doing it you will see plenty of other TablePress plug ins; some do a lot of other different things besides just simple tables but this particular plug in I will be walking you through has 700,000 installs and was created by Tobias Bathge circled in purple in the lower half screen shot of image 2 and you’ll notice the little red spinning arrows circled in red on the same bottom half when the plug in is installing (It might take a minute or two)
Image 2Instruction 3
Okay now we have the plug in and its installed let’s activate the plug in by clicking on the same button that said “Install Now” that we just clicked on, because after the plug in installs it will switch to saying “Activate” so we’ll click on it to activate the plugin shown in the top screen shot of image 3.
Next after we activate the plug in one of two things will happen it will either open up to your installed plugins or you will have to manually click on the “installed plugins” tab in the left menu bar shown in the middle screen shot of image 3 circled in orange and verify that the TablePress plug in is listed meaning it installed and making sure was actaved.
Then click (F5) and refresh the browser page, then we move down to the bottom screen shot of image 3 and that shows us what happens when we hover over the new menu item “TablePress”, the drop down menu pop up appears
Image 3Okay now the TablePress plug in is installed in on website now its time to start creating our first table. On to page 2!
