Hi there and welcome to lesson 14 on How To Use ScreenFlow Software.

Well done on reaching this lesson and I hope you're enjoying this course on how to create movies for your websites and blogs.
This lesson is a lot of fun because I teach you how to add "Media" to your movies. Media may include small movie clips you've made with your iPhone for example, photos you have on your Macintosh or music to use as backing tracks on your movie.
No Copyright Infringement Here!
As with any media you use in your movies, you must make sure that you're not using Copyrighted material. Movie clips you make, photos you take and music tracks you create are all owned by you so you're free to use that media in your movies. Music is the big issue because people like to use music in movies as backing tracks (as I do) but it's often hard to find music that has no Copyright restrictions attached to it.
Problem solved! Enter... Garage Band.
Garage Band is an Apple application that allows you to create your own music tracks for use in movies or anywhere for that matter. If you've never used Garage Band, don't worry because I'll show you in the next lesson how to create music tracks using that software. Even if you have "zero" music ability, you'll be able to make all sorts of tracks to use in your movies and it will take you only minutes to produce the tracks.
However, enough about Garage Band now as I'll be teaching you about that application in the next lesson.
Jingles.
Another benefit of owning a Macintosh computer is that you MAY have "Jingles" sitting somewhere on your hard drive that you don't even know about. I'll be showing you how to look for the Jingles in this lesson so you can use that music in your movies.
In this lesson you will learn how to...
- Locate and switch on the "Media" panel
- Drag media clips and drop them into the media pane
- Add media via file search in "Finder"
- Add an extra recording to your movie
- Search for Apple iLife "Jingles" which MAY be residing on your computer
Movie duration: Approx. 12 minutes
