Where do I start?

Click on 'Get Started Here' ( green button to your left) to start your lessons. If you want to create a website to promote Wealthy Affiliate, click on 'Affiliate Bootcamp' (black button to your left) instead.

How do I start earning money?

Wealthy Affiliate teaches a very simple yet powerful concept. To start earning money, you need to follow the 4 steps that WA teaches.

Step 1: Choose an Interest

Step 2: Build Your Website

Step 3: Get rankings in search engines (leads to traffic)

Step 4: Earn $$$ from your traffic

When you are ranked in the search engines because of your good quality content, people are likely to click on your affiliate links and buy the products that you recommend. By doing so, you will start earning money from your website.

To key to doing so is to start working on your website by following the lessons in WA. The checklist at the end of each lesson will help you with your posts and all 4 steps above.

When can I start earning money?

It really depends on the niche you are in and how much content you have on your site that's ranked well. Some can find success in less than a month and some, 6 to 12 months. Personally, it took 3 months to get my first sale.

How do I find a niche?

A niche was a pretty new concept to me when I first started affiliate marketing. A niche is basically a segment of a market, a targeted audience.

Basically, you have to complete Certification Course 1 or Affiliate Bootcamp Course 1 and you will have a website set up.

How do I get traffic? (Thanks Jean)

In Wealthy Affiliate, they mainly teach 2 ways to get traffic.

1. Organic traffic through search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo
2. Paid ads

For beginners, it will be better to first focus on getting organic traffic from the search engines by producing quality content for your readers. When you write content and get it indexed ("recognised") by Google, you will get organic traffic. How long will that take? I can't give you a fixed answer because all niches are different. Some are more competitive than others. It took my site about 5 months to get consistent traffic daily. Some people took less than 2 months.

The best way to start getting organic traffic is to go through the training and follow the tasks assigned. It was designed to help you get organic search traffic.

Paid ads or PPC (pay per click) campaigns are not so suitable for beginners. You either need a squeeze page or a relatively decent looking website before attempting this. Here are the lessons if you want to find out more about it.

How frequent should I post on my website?

As often as possible. The more you post, the higher chances of ranking for keywords. Some would recommend daily posting or 2-3 times per week.
