OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link

within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a "Building Your Website in Under 30 Seconds" video walking you through the Website Platform (also known as SiteRubix) here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Task 1: Build Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to take less than 30 seconds to get a fully operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host your own FREE website as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 10 websites (including websites on your own domain). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can easily move it to your own domain.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choosing a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "how to lose belly fat today" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "howtolosebellyfattoday".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: basketballskillsanddrills.stierubix.com

Title: Basketball Skills and Drills

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

You are going to notice that there are many other website features allocated within the SiteRubix menu. I don't want to eat up too much of your time here, but it is important that you understand the incredible benefits of the SiteRubix platform.

hello
I have build the site .after the level 1 .is there any way to make money for the hours i spend so far for this site or that that was only a way to give me somthing for free that I cant make anything with and will have to buy an upgrade?

Yes, pretty much. If you are expecting to make money in a week maybe you should be trying something different? This is not a get rich quick scheme! The "something for free" is to get you interested, this is a learning/collaboration channel and it's a business. So yes, they want you to be a paid member. If you follow the lessons and learn from people then you have a good chance of making money.

Hi - you now need to concentrate on writing lots of articles for your website. When you have a lot of content, typically around 15 articles, you can start applying to join affiliate programs to earn a commission promoting products.

You will have to upgrade to premium in order to receive the other 40 lessons of training, but it's well worth the expense. It will only cost $19 for the first month and then recurring automatic payments of $49/month after that. Keep writing content/articles on your site and Level 3 training teaches you how to add affiliate programs where you will get links to add to your articles and begin to monetize on your site. You can do it!!

There is a lot to learn but as you continue with patience, you'll understand that you're building a huge project.

This is a journey not a destination, so you need to be patient, as it could take a while to earn anything.

Im wondering if this is a suitable venture for me, I have never been a good writer and the thought of writing heaps of content to promote an item / site is something that I wouldn't enjoy.
"write about something your passionate about"!!
I cant say im "passionate" about any one thing I do at the moment, or would be able to write more than a sentence or two about them at a stretch.
What should I be trying to achieve here without a niche I could write copious amounts on or blog about?

The writing style isn't like in school where you have to produce an essay, it is conversational style as if you were talking face to face with someone. Based on your question above, you can write, and more than a sentence at that, so don't worry, it will get easier. As for your niche, what are your hobbies and interests? Have you helped anyone lately by providing advice? What do you talk about with friends and family?

Hi - well, according to your profile, you have recently completed a circumnavigation sailing around the world. Surely you have lots of interesting stories to tell?

You could tie that in with the essential items you needed to complete the journey, and how those products helped you achieve your goal.

You were not a good walker either when you were a baby crawling, but eventually with practice you learned to stand and walk. Writing is a bit like that it get easier with preactise and as Crystopher says imaging you are talking to your friends what would yoyu say?

Very true, we are not composers nor writers at all but the desire and the drive to develop a meaningful website calls for a try..! One step at a time, you'll then sink through.

You need a niche to be able to write about and make money from.

Hi! So I’m currently in the process of finding my niche... and I wanted to know, is it possible to have a niche with such a variety. I mean I’m aware I enjoy and am passionate about many things, being: self care, dancing, singing, crafting, teaching/ enriching, nature, human life as a whole, etc. But I find that all those things root down to one source.

Entrepreneurship. I tend to notice that as I think of all my passions, I can only imagine myself applying them in business form, when I think of starting a business I feel that I can’t be rooted down to just one. And for that very reason I feel as though I’m capable of started individual business for each of my passions, businesses that are all based on spreading awareness and helping others with similar strengths or challenges in these fields.

So I guess the real question I was curious about was “Is it possible to have: Entrepreneurship in a variety of fields” as a niche. This is the closest I’ve felt to the “correct answer” and sums up just about everything making me comfortable in picking it. I’m just unsure if it’s too vague of a niche or not? Please advice? :)

Hi, I just started building a website for a niche I already suspect it won't generate a lot of money because it is crowded already. However I want to get strated, learn and make progress. So, once I find a better niche than the one I'm aiming at now I will build a second website. (I have a premium subscribtion)
Is this a good idea ? Or should I first take more time to find a better niche ?

I suggest you follow the training progressively from start and choose a specific niche. (take more time to find a better niche)

You are allowed up to 10 domains.

You can use Jaaxy to drill down keywords. Look for searches (avg.) above 30 and competition (qsr. ) lower than 100, the lower the qsr the better (as in the training)

https://my.jaaxy.com/search/keywords

Do let me know if you need anything else. Have a nice day.

The probem with hitting the right niche is that u only actually begin nderstading how this really works, a bit further on. So i suggest you try and spend a bit of time in finding a specific niche. Its a spin off between narrow and too narrow.

Hi Gilbert,

A Niche should be specific, evergreen, profitable, a solution to a problem, and most importantly a passion you can live for.

What is it you are so passionate about? Something that you can turn into a lot of content that will fill your website with and attract visitors to your site.

Specific: Who is your targeted segment? Who will benefit from your site? Gender, age, occupation, etc.

Evergreen: it has an everlasting appeal to your audience/target market.

Profitable: this one is pretty self-explanatory.

A solution to a problem: You'd like to make sure your site can help your audience to address their problems.

Lastly, yes passion. Why? Because we will write a lot of content. It should be much easier when it starts with passion.

Probably these blog posts writen by Kyle and other WA members would spark an idea for you to choose your niche: All the best,
Ferra

You know what; I would just ask who you can about this. No Offense meant; I would just suggest you try asking Magistudios. Magistudios I think is an Expert around here. For him; just type his name into the search engine above.

If I am wrong about that? I Apologize; and other Members please correct. And if I offend Magistudios; I apologize; but the more experienced Members I think have to try to help out Members just learning; hope this helps?

If you make your site better than the rest then it won't matter about the competition. There is competition for every niche.

Competition can be a good thing (at least you know it’s working for others!)

What is your niche idea?
