OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link

within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a "Building Your Website in Under 30 Seconds" video walking you through the Website Platform (also known as SiteRubix) here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Task 1: Build Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to take less than 30 seconds to get a fully operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host your own FREE website as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 10 websites (including websites on your own domains). As a Premium Plus+ member, you can build and host up to 50 websites (including websites on your own domains). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can easily move it to your own domain.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choosing a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "Calorie Method" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "caloriemethod".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: caloriemethod.siterubix.com

Title: Calorie Method

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

You are going to notice that there are many other website features allocated within the SiteRubix menu. I don't want to eat up too much of your time here, but it is important that you understand the incredible benefits of the SiteRubix platform.

Hello Community,

I want to create a second website niche as my first one I felt was a little bit broad. I love and enjoy bodybuilding and I was thinking of creating a website about pre workout supplements.

Id like to help people (mostly beginners) make informed decisions based on what types of pre workout supplements there are, what they should know about them, how to choose, etc.

What do you guys think? Could this be viable or is it kinda broad? Thanks

You can address bodybuilding pre-workout exercises for beginners and then promote products in relation to your focused niche website. Sounds great.

I'd ask myself

Am I passionate and genuinely interested in my chosen niche, as I I'd be expected to write lots of content, it would motivate me to update blog with succinct original content worthy my visitors week in week out.

Would I be writing about it in a years time or two or more

Who would be my target audience, who would benefit most from what I have to offer.

And if so, I am ready to dive in. All the best to you going forward.

Your may want to start with a workout for a specific purpose - for example building muscle. Later you can expand that to include other purposes.

Make sure you start with informational posts. Answersocrates may give you some ideas of things people want to know if you need more ideas. Also doing a google search and check "people also ask" section.

Niche a select bunch of people looking for things you got. I would try to think of how much content this would leave you writing about . How many categories you'll have to talk about just one supplement. From my prospective if you know a ton of things about just one supplement how much space are you gonna leave for all the rest that are out there.
For instance or example.my site is dennisautosupply.com this can be very broad but I re thought about what I wanted my specific group of people to know that this is where we begin with paint detail then goes into interior detail.then finishes to engine detail. Even though my website states supply it's not parts it's not accessories. Its all the stuff in between.( niche is not a product ). I'm still learning my self. You just have to ask yourself how passionate are you about body building. By using original content nothing copied or pasted. Coming souly from you and your heart. Remember your trying to gain trust with your group of people.once you can establish this, they will trust you to have other content to focus on.just like you have trusted me to give you a answer you didnt know you would be so happy to get. And I know that I'm not the only one that's gonna give you the advice your seeking to get. In fact you get so much help here. You'll want to complete your tasks and accomplish your goals. I hope this help you. Learning never stops EVER! Have a fantastic day

Hello! I have 2 questions actually:

1. As I mentioned a few days ago, I have changed my niche from belly fat loss to clinical depression + treatments, but I already made a domain for belly fat loss. Would I need to create a new website? Because I do not know how to change that domain to something related to clinical depression.

2. I have been making a list of content to write for my niche, whilst also going through the WA training. But I wanted to know, should I just post informative, value-adding content (of course all the content will be value-adding) for my first few posts before promoting clinical depression products? I'm not sure how to go about it. Thank you!
Reply
jghwebbrand Premium
Yes, you should have a new website for Clinical depression. Each niche must have its own website.

2. Yes, most definitely create informational posts first. Even 15 - 20 can be a great idea. Let your audience know you are here to help not sell. Also the search engines like informational posts as well. It will help your site rank better.

You need to be a premium before you can apply the move feature found within your site manager as hosting is included in a premium subscription to the platform.

Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Well firstly if you are interested in Affiliate, then you are in the right place as i knew nothing and have gained a lot of knowledge from WA, the training is simplified and caters to all. you can read the training aswell as follow the videos to find what works best for you... or both.

Following the training should help you target you're chosen audience and the fact you more or less have you're niche already is amazing... i spent a while trying to find one haha.

The community is supportive so if there is a class or something you don't understand you can literally comment/post and get a response the same day if not minutes later.

You will want to decide how you are going to focus your niche idea because even nutritional supplements is broad. Are you looking to help people with a specific condition.

you will be writing posts for people to read on your website - who would be the audience you wish to write for and help? You will be writing both informational posts and product reviews. What kind of questions would people be asking about your niche that you can help them with as well? Your informational posts are important to grow your traffic. If you don't know a lot about your niche and even if you do know something about it you will be doing a lot of research online so you can help people with their problems and related questions...

What are you most passionate about?,something you can write lots of content about. Niche is a audience a group of people searching for stuff you have. So you might have to focus down to a specific group that you want to attract to your site your trying to build confidence in your group, trust.Everyone everywhere is searching for something you have, which one of these you pick is something you know more about then anything else.
Once you grow trust with your group then they will trust you with other things you can add to your pages or posts and cool articles of facts. And then one day add affiliate links . I hope this helped you out...but as I know your question will be answered by many of us here at WA.im still in training my self. We do have a confident bunch of helpers here.hang in there and never give up.

You need aim for ONE focused niche with a specific group of people, I'd go with what's best resonates with me.

The recommendation is to focus on ONE site starting out as it takes lots of effort and work get it going, however once you know what you are doing, then the learning curve would be less steeper to scale up.

I'd ask myself

Am I passionate and genuinely interested in my chosen niche, as I I'd be expected to write lots of content, it would motivate me to update blog with succinct original content worthy my visitors week in week out.

Thanks, Dennis. This has been really good so far. One question about the website I build is, will it be just a blog post your of web page, or will there be more than just one page, where I can have affiliate links, blog posts, photos/videos, etc.? Or maybe tabs that one can click on to find what they are looking for, and then click a link within that tab?

Stick to the training, it will show you what and how to apply your content. From your free siterubix.com site to a paid. Com domain . To how to install posts, how to add links it's all here. So far I've had to down grade my site because it was way overwhelming. dennisautosupply.com, I had to downsize this because what is autosupply.its not parts it's not accessories. Its everything in between.

So I focused my niche to auto detailing.from here I can add any new content I need to attract the specific group of people wanting to learn how to detail your autos painted surfaces. Then I added other content of how to detail the inside to how to detail the engine compartment . And learned all this by sticking with the training.
Now im learning what keywords are and how to incorporate them into my posts articles.low hanging fruit keywords, and many more cool things.but once you get indexed by Google, then it's only a matter of time till you get ranked once that happends the 3 major search engines will know who you are and take you to the top of the page. Its all in the training. I hope this helped.
You can go check out what I have so far with what I have, just to give you an idea of what you have to do.
But for me I dont have everyday to dedicate myself to this place like so many others because I do have a 9 to 5 or rather a 545 am to 4pm job that requires alot of my time even after I'm done.anyways.if you have further questions, you can click the live chat button,or ask @AbieAJ shes an ambassador here has great knowledge.

Your top 3 ideas have a lot of potential.
You can check trends (trends.google.com)
Do a search in google and see what auto suggests for each of them -
You will be writing posts for people to read on your website - who would be the audience you wish to write for and help? You will be writing both informational posts and product reviews. What kind of questions would people be asking about your niche that you can help them with as well? Your informational posts are important to grow your traffic. I have a niche and domain name, now trying to decide on a theme. Are all of the themes mobile friendly? Is there one better than another? I'd love some advice on picking a theme. The 30 second setup is taking a lot longer if I can't decide on one! Thx for suggestions.

Yes, all WP themes you can choose using your your wordpress backoffice will be mobile friendly. The default WA uses for starter is GeneratePress, More options are found in the paid version. We like to use the Free version of ASTRA because it has many more options in the free version and it is not necessary to buy the pro version.. Yu can check it out online doing a google search
Astra Demo to see if you like it. It has so very many options, is fast and very popular.

I test it first before buying in, because that can be expensive.

You want to make sure they are responsive, extremely light, fast, well coded, SEO optimised, flexible, adaptable and customisable

You may try GeneratePress or Premium where you can extend the theme and can have many layout templates.
