Lesson 8: See If the Content Can Work Well as a Featured Snippet
To position your blog content for the opportunity to become a Featured Snippet on Google, it's important to review your past posts and plan for future ones accordingly. A Featured Snippet is a special result in the search engine results pages that is considered position 0, appearing above organic search results but below paid ads.
It's arguably the best position to be in to maximize your chances of getting the click from a visitor.
One way to increase your chances of being chosen for this position is by structuring your content in a listicle format, with header code that is approximately 50 characters or less, and a series of answers to a single question. This allows Google to consider your content for a Featured Snippet spot.
To optimize your content for this position, you may need to reorganize it and create a numbered list, or modify subheadings to reflect specific answers that people are searching for. Including questions in your content can also increase your chances of appearing in the "People Also Ask" section, where Google displays brief answers and relevant URLs to users who click on a question.
Tomorrow is my planned commencement date and I'm looking forward to getting started and achieving!!
