Lesson 4: Delete Any Irrelevant Blog Content
A simple and effective technique to enhance your blog's overall performance is to review each of your blog posts and remove content that does not align with your topic. Some marketers make the error, particularly early on, of publishing blog posts that are entirely unrelated to their niche, treating their blog as a personal diary instead of a business.
This inconsistency in content can be perplexing to search engine bots, as the topics are all over the place. To address this, go through each blog post and determine if it is relevant to your niche topic. If it is not, either delete the entire post or move it to a different platform, such as a separate blog or social media profile you own.
Perhaps you want to narrow down or focus your content topics. In such cases, it may be necessary to cull some of your blog posts so that your blog accurately represents its purpose. For instance, suppose your goal is to teach people how to lose weight based on nutrition, but you occasionally publish articles on exercise or stress relief. In that case, you can revamp these articles with unique content. However, if they deviate too far from your niche, deleting them may be necessary to streamline your site's overall theme.
