Depression 2.
Damn. Just as I think it is settling down I had a bad day. Totally lost focus. Couldn't be stuffed. This is the challenge people who suffer from depression are up against.
It all started over 15 years ago. I had been appointed to a new position within the Education Department which because of its newness did not have clearly defined parameters. This lead to a certain amount of stress on my part. Despite making several approaches to my up line to review these parameters I was unsuccessful. I subsequently suffered from quite severe burnout. It all culminated in 2008 when I had a breakdown and resigned from teaching. While I am still on mega doses of various anti-depressants I am able to wake up each morning and function having run a successful business for the past eight years.
Now I feel it is time to pass it forward by supporting other people going through various degrees of anxiety, stress, bi-polar, and other mental depression related conditions.

I haven't been diagnosed, but often feel the symptoms of depression. I think it has more to do with an auto-immune disorder I am being treated for.

I think it's probably severely underestimated by people who have never experienced it......
My brother suffers from all of the above & I know it can be hard sometimes...it's good to know someone is there and cares!
My daughter has PTSD, anxiety, depression and Borderline Personality Disorder - I know how these things impact not only the person diagnosed, but also on the whole family. I shall look forward to seeing your site :)
Sounds challenging. I think I will look into PTSD too. I think Personality disorders might be a bit outside my field of understanding. Might research it and see what happens.
I need to be careful not to lose focus though.
