I am moving on of my hosted sites here to another host (it's for my daughter). I have changed the name servers to the hosting nameservers and deleted the account here, but I still

still waiting still says its on WA when its now... lol

It will take 24 to 72 hours for the change to take effect - unless you're lucky. It could take just a few hours, but don't count on it.

Is this the message that you get when you try to switch the nameservers with the other hosting company? or is this the message that you get here at WA? Usually when you want to change hosting to another host, you have to FTP your site's files and send them back to your new host. They should have a tutorial about it, I suggest asking the hosting company you chose about it, they should be able to provide you with a sure/definite response :D Good luck!

thanks. the message comes up when I type the url into a browser. So it looks like it is still hosted here and the nameservers just haven't finished updating. Namecheap shows the Dns change successful but says it could take 24 hours; I just expected it to have a different message than the one from WA saying its not setup on WA, like domain is parked or something.

And yes, once that is resolved I'll install Wordpress then import her backed up WP files and FTP her pics.

Great!

Anything from 10 seconds to 12 hours, already you may have to allow up to 3 days. I would suggest moving just before bedtime, then by the time you get up the next morning, it is most likely done.

Hi, can you tell me how to find out where my site is ranking on google?

For example I am doing fishing reel reviews. If I copy and paste the name of the reel I am revie

Understanding Low Hanging Fruit by Kyle and there are several other short vids that really helped me understand better. Seems you can find terms containing the reel name that people are searching for then use them in your content where searches are relatively high yet even like 50 month is OK using that term yet low in competition. Hope this helps. If you used some certain term for keyword that term typed in search should show what people are seeing on Google.

When you do a search and if you're using chrome - launch the incognito mode and put you titled keyword phrase in for the search, now look for your post or page. It's low tech and it works great.

Point me to relevant google ranking info?

I'm re-asking my question because it's gotten of course and lost.

To make it short....

1. Does using the amazon affiliate link harm our google ranking, in a review s

Duplicate content and overlinking will get you banned by Google. Less is better here, but of course you can link to your affiliate products as long as it's within reason and you have some means of justifying it - like good information going along with the linking process

Here is some additional information. fyi--When you have a question, type it in at the top of your pages and you will see training related to your question. Also comments from others.

How many affiliate links is OK

I was told that google will overlook 3 or 4 links but if the page was full of affiliate links Google doesn't like that now I was told that you can have an amazon astore and have that page noindexed in google soif anybody knows for sure jump in and tell us I am not 100% sure about the noindexed page
Willie

thank you. Yes i too have heard on non-indexing it, but if I do that on every affiliate linked page, that's my content as well, so I won't have much left to index. ~I am doing reviews on niche fishing reels, with commentary and experience. there will be some posts that wont' have affiliate links, but for the most part will.

you can first publish your content without affiliate links to get rankings faster then once you are there in top 10 or 20 you can start adding links gradually.

thank you. Isn't google always ranking and re-ranking, would this "un-rank" it? LOL>>> yes, I create my on words!

1 affiliate link per page is not a problem

I am almost certain the Amazon links have nothing to do with your ranking on Google What is important is the wor traffic which your content attracts to your site is the important thing
ken

thank you, the plan is a review site. I review niche items that are amazon products. so I can do with one link on a page. that is the content. each and every page will have an affiliate link, well, at least 90% will.

Certainly

Being a rather curious person I ask a lot of questions.

Being rather suspicious I pay attention as to whether I get relevant answers to those questions, how those answers

Hi Tina. Well said. I have dealt with so many people in the Internet Marketing niche that there are names that I shudder to see. Sadly new people are still attracted by their shiny objects and keep them rich. At least here at WA when people ask if anyone knows about a person or product them one of us my know whether it's genuine or scam.

the post was very good and it was true facts
thanks for sharing it with us
Willie

I share the very same thought as you do. I too just cancelled my fiver account because I ran into too many problems with the suppliers of inadequate material. Your rant is your choice and well from what you posted here

Hello,

In bootcamp training, Kyle taught to use Pretty Link and change all affiliate links to a url of your domain name, but which still forwarded to the affiliate link.

Just noindex those pages in your All In One SEO, or other SEO plugins your are using..!
Good post thanks for asking.

Thank you for the post
Ken

thanks to all. I think by just asking the question I decided in this early stages I am going to completely change the setup, therefore removing the stores.

You don't want Google to index these products so follow Tommy's advice.

I've always heard not to mess with the eStore stuff simply because the majority of people want to actually order and look at items directly on Amazon and not on a 3rd party website. Just sharing what I've heard! :)

On your estore pages just mark them noindex and nofollow so google doesnt index them

Amazon estore does this type of linking rank poor in google?
