Super Affiliate Update - The Return

From the start, let me state it clearly - I am not up to date with the Super Affiliate Program. My lack of blogging updates is one of the tell tale signs. But I have my reasons.

A big part of March was Chinese New Year. The amount of time left, I did do my best to catch up with as much of the tasks given as posssible. I told myself I will catch up in April.

Then April came, and I had one week gone again. This time because of a full time teaching gig that required full day teaching at the far west of Singapore. I stay in the far east of Singapore. Travel time each way was 2 hours. So, besides the teaching hours, I lost 4 hours travel time.

Then in April, I fell ill. Darn! I had not fallen ill for a long time, and as such did not factor this in my schedule. Another week with low energy and could hardly do anything. Then another week to get stronger and rebuild my energy.

At the same time, I was still doing my full time gigs that paid the bills. Good news is I am almost done creating a really nice website for a client who sells ice cream. Still a few more bits to be done. The client loved what has been done so far. And so do I. :)

So What Is This Post About?

I am here not to complain. I am here not to be negative.

This blog is about me taking responsibility.

Yes, I am lagging behind. I know it. Some things happened beyond my control. But that is no excuse.

I still want to do my best. Give my all. And complete all the tasks for Super Affiliate.

Now, more importantly, What Do I Do About My Lag? What Are My Next Steps?

What Are My Next Steps?

Well, I decided to take stock.

I went back to the 1st Month. I read the entire email again. This time, I took notes. And especially regarding the Tasks To Be Done, I wrote them all down. Like a Checklist. Those tasks that I have already done, I checked them off.

I did the same for Month 2.

Now, with the Checklists for both months, I have a road map. I have a list of all the tasks to be done. Tasks that I did not complete.

In the coming days, I my schedule is still full. But not every day. Tomorrow I have a meeting with the university where I will be giving lectures. And then a meeting with a client. Saturday, I am free. Sunday, a big wedding to attend. My cousin's son is getting married. The extended families and my family are close. It is a big deal. Must attend. And Sunday will be busy with that. Then, Monday, again busy with another gig with another client. And so on.

What I am trying to get at?

Yes. I have days when I am busy. Yes. I have days when I have more time.

Whichever it is, I will Optimize My Time now.

With the Checklist, I can prioritize the tasks. I can also categorize into Major Tasks and Minor Tasks. There are also Ongoing Tasks.

During the days that I am busy, I will do my best to do any Minor Tasks or parts of a Major Task during every free moment. A free moment can be while traveling on the train. A lot can be done in four hours of travel.

I am not going to stop.

Step by step. Task by Task. Or even Part of a Task by Part of a Task. I will endeavor to complete the tasks given. When I catch up, I will surely share a celebratory update. Haha.

But meanwhile, I am not going to stop. I am going to continue and do this until I reach the status of Super Affiilate.

Thank you for reading this.

May everything you do succeed & prosper! :)

Thank you Timotheus for sharing and teaching us about optimization. Very much appreciated.

My pleasure Kimberly. :)

Hi Timotheus,
I admire your determination to get back on track. Mar/Apr has been a period of lagging for me for various reasons.

We only fail when we quit. so hang in there and you will make it.

Bill

Thanks Bill and Sue, for your encouragement! :)
You can make it too! :)

Do your best and that's all you can do!! That's all any one can do.

Tried and true

Elaine

That's true, Elaine. And that's why I decided to just do it. And to do it along with the schedule that I have. Not the schedule or deadlines that are set. :)

Great intentions and initiatives.

Go for it! You can do it!

Louisa B

Thanks so much for your encouragement, Louisa! :)

Good for you for not giving up Timotheus!
~Shell

Thanks for your encouragement, Shell! :)
Yes! Will never give up! :)

We all get behind for one reason or another. It is not like we live in here. There are always other things that have to be done. Just keep doing what you can when you can and you will get there.

So true. Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Welcome back Timotheus!
I'm sure you'll catch up.
Always do the most important things first.

Never give up, no matter what!
:-)

Thanks Pernilla for your kind words of encouragement!
Yeah! Never give up! I believe in this and I believe I will succeed. :)

Yip, we have to put food on the table and I'm also behind, but not so far.

I will catch up in April and my own goal is 20 posts plus the rest of the SWAG tasks.

We will make it!

Nick

Good targets, Nick.
Yeah! We will make it! :)

Well done!

Winners take action and don’t make excuses-ever!

SuperAffiliates just keep on Flying!!!

Thanks! :)

You sound like a very busy man, but I have no doubt you will catch up with the SWAG challenge.
Wishing you good luck
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

That is so true, Karen.
Very busy. :)
