Hello Shell, yes you can put an ID within that box but I prefer to put the complete code within my Editor.
If you don't know how to then let me know though I'm sure other members will drop by with their two cents worth.
Enjoy your day.

Thanx for your quick response Robert! I already inserted the HTML code in my Editor...but isn't that for Analytics, as opposed to Google Search Console (aka Webmaster Tools)? Or am I even more confused than I thought? LoL
No, you should have your Webmasters Code within your Editor and your Analytics ID within your All-In-One-SEO.

This may seem like a silly question, but one that I'd like to solve. You know when you look up at the tabs you have open in a browser, and you see all the site names? You kno
Just think...by asking this simple question, you folks have pointed me in the direction of accomplishing 2 things! Thanx Much!

The little image next to website name in the tab is called a "favicon" and some themes have it some don't. There are plugins that will do it for u too if your theme does not have it. Hope this helps u.
Carl
Thanx Carl. Now that I know this, I'll check to see if my theme offers it. I appreciate the help!

Hi, Shelly.
It's not a silly question at all. It's a GOOD question and I gave your post a "like". :)
What you want is called a "favicon" (short for "favorite icon").
A "gravatar" ("globally recognized avatar") is the image that appears beside a person's name when s/he leaves a comment.
Marion (MarionBlack) has a short video (less than 5 minutes long) on how to create a favicon and add it to your site. I think it's exactly what you're looking for. WordPress Favicons Sharon

No, no - I wasn't trying to straighten you out Steve! I just wanted to give Shelly some terminology. It's tough asking questions when you're new to a subject and don't yet know the "lingo".
I hope I didn't offend you: if I did, I apologize.
I know, but I needed to be straitened out there. I'm seriously thanking you.......lol
I've been inactive the last year or so and need to relearn some lingo :)

Oh good - I'm glad you weren't offended. :)
Were you touring the past year? (You do still play - right)?
I don't know why I hadn't been following you before, but I am now. Your posts and trainings look magnificent and I'm positive I'll learn a lot from them. :)
Oh thank you. That's very kind of you to say. Unfortunately I don't play at that level. South west Florida just happens to have enough music venues to keep hundreds of musicians woking full time year round.
I've just been sidetracked which is my own fault. I've had the time but haven't made my website a priority.
The cool part is, my site was still profitable even after being ignored for a year. The beauty of building an authority site :)

Thanx So Much for this Sharon. I will check out Marion's video now, and appreciate the help!

You're welcome, Shell. I think you'll like Marion's vid. It's really easy to understand. :)

You betcha! I just watched it. Turns out on a previous attempt within Site Identity, I simply missed hitting the Publish button. LoL

How awesome the solution was so simple! I'm just sorry it took as long as it did to find.
Sometimes, the simplest things can aggravate us every bit as much as the big things. But, it's always nice when the solution is a an easy one: such relief!
I believe you are referring to the site icon?
You should be able to find this setting within your theme:
appearance - customize - Site Identity - Site Icon
it might not be there because it can be theme dependent, but I have it at least in that location.
Steven
I think that might be what I was after Steven, so Thanx. I've added an image now, but don't see if yet when I visit my site. Maybe it takes a bit for it to show
~Shell
Thanx for the quick reply. I tried to create a Gravatar a while ago, and was unable to. Unfortunately, when I tried, it recognized a connection with a WP site I was trying to work on for somebody else...before joining WA. I'll have to go back there, and maybe see if I can contact support or something
I've now been able to create one under my email account. I couldn't figure out how to add it to my site, so I watched a training video here. I went back to the Gravatar site, and it says they've encountered an error and they're working on it. LoL
I'll leave it for a bit and come back to it later. Thanx Again for your help!
~Shell
I guess the solution is beyond my pay-grade .......lol I'm sure someone will have a solution for you :)
