Update on my new blog, Is there progress?
A month ago I wrote about the progress of my new blog
How has the last month gone? I am saddened to say it has gone disastrous! However, in some ways there are times in life when things are beyond your control. I started out with the intention of still writing an article a day but it went awry.
First of ll I moved countries. That was not so bad i knew it was happening. I could write the content before and publish it. That was successful =
Then disaster struck
I caught dengue fever for the third time! Dengue can be a killer it nearly killed me the first two times. There are two types one attacks the lungs and whilst it is horrible you don't get the arterial bleed. The type I have had and have again is the arterial bleed type. Your arteries break down and the blood bleeds into your tissues and makes it looks like an aubergine.
Symptoms
Dengue fever presents with flu-like symptoms that usually appear 4-10 days after being bitten by an infected mosquito. Common symptoms include:
- High fever (up to 104°F or 40°C)
- Severe headaches (That is the understatement of the Century, you can't get your head off the pillow )
- Pain behind the eyes(is that what you call it it is like a nuclear explosion fusion ready to go off. )
- Muscle and joint pain (often referred to as "breakbone fever" due to the intensity of pain
- Nausea and vomiting (small mercies I missed that)
- Skin rash, which can appear 2-5 days after the fever starts missed that too
Anyway that through me off course since the 9th of September it is only supposed to last a few days but in each of my three times the symptoms lasted a month so I should expect to start to fully recover in a few days .It remains to be seen how long it takes the purple to go away the first time it was over a year.
So back to what I have managed this month Amonth ago I was here
My Progress Blog 30 days old, 32 articles, 32 indexed, 13 ranked on Google 100 visitors,
Now today blog is 68 days old there are 56 posts 52 indexed. 7 ranked on Google (all have dropped pages). However three are on Bing page 4 is the highest and one on yahoo page three same article as on Bing
I have to be truthful there probably at least half of the written articles havent been changed from AI so there is some work to be done there. I have spent a lot of time trying to catch up. For now that is WASTE OF TIME . So I am trying to publish one article a day for October. There seems to be 52 articles indexed which is weird because I have not asked for any of them to be indexed. Nor have I asked whether they are ranking too much effort for the moment
Also Google sire kit.analytics do not appear to be working and I havent got the energy or brain capacity when my head is about to explode. Anyone else having problems with Sitekit/and or analytics?
So all in all let's hope there are better things to report next month and it remains to be seen whether I will publish 3000 words a day and edit as well. I am still in the sleep for twenty hours a day mode. There is not much else to do until this fever breaks completely. See you next month when I hope to have more encouraging news

I'm glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. While health wise for you it was difficult. There were several things in this post that are celebratory to me! Getting ranked on Google, Bing, and Yahoo is an awesome achievement. I am aspiring to be like you and get a regular post schedule as well. But first I need to get to 10 posts on my site lol.
Regarding site kit I realized that the numbers are delayed in comparison to my google analytics app. So I'm leaning towards only using only the app for analysis purposes.
I hope that you take the time and let your body recover before jumping back in. It seems like you have great content so it will do the work for you while you rest and recuperate. Feel better soon! -Leah
Thank you, Leah. As to getting the first ten articles, they are the hardest because chances are you are out of practice with writing. I would advise doing something every day, no matter how small. It may not be correct, but you can always tweak mistakes. If you do nothing you get nothing
Ooh nasty……just nasty 🥴.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Catherine.
Rest rest rest and more rest is part of the key.
Health before wealth always 🙏.
Looking forward to a lighter cup of coffee and a healthier read next month.
Take care. 🙏 :-)
Dengue?? That can be brutal Catherine as I'm sure you know as you've had it three times...
I knew a couple of friends in Brazil who had it and rest, rest and more rest is the way to go here...
Your businesses will still be there when you have recovered ok!!!
Look after yourself first my friend! :-)
Thats about it Nic, fortunately denghue makes it virtually impossible to do anything else but sleep
Sorry for what you have gone through the past month. Setbacks are part of life, but as for me I thank God that you are still have life in you. The rest will be history once you gain your full health. Wishing you full recovery and soon.
Joseph
Hope you get to feeling better Catherine. That Dengue fever sounds absolutely terrible!
I did a reset on Site Kit after moving my website to WA. GSC gave me an owner verification fail err. Turns out it was the txt dns. Got my 6 months of data back on GSC but Site Kit only goes back to when I did the reset. 🤷♂️
Hi so sorry you have been sick I know this has been a difficult time but your optimism was still present in what you wrote !
Give your body the rest it needs so that healing can occur ! Many positive vibes sent your way. M

Hello Catherine
Hope you fully recover soon. Mosquitoes and dengue is no tropical party. I've felt the pain at younger age, I wouldn't want to imagine it in these more vintage years with all the creaks and cracks of living.
30 years ago I graduated from college with a fellowship offer for grad school. It was a great opportunity but I thought "Uggh MORE school? I can't." So I packed up and moved to a tiny island in the Caribbean. Folks thought I was nuts. Looking back, it was one of the most liberating things I have ever done in my life. I had no job, no home and only a few thousand dollars for about 6 months living. I had taught myself Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Publisher and FrontPage so I became a desktop publisher for a small printing store. I loved my new life. I saved a runt puppy from being drowned in the sea and he and I had adventures for a decade.
My nest was empty and then the baby bird returned to take care of momma bird through covid and breast cancer. He is finishing up his Masters degree and I will be leaving the nest for him to get his start on living. I want to do an bit of an "Eat Love Pray" era, (Mykonos, Italy, Ireland, Tibet and New Zealand) so I'm trying to finally use my WA membership to create my retirement fallback nest egg.
My site is www.thegeeksez.com with a niche in tech tips and advice. I was hoping to build a reputation as a product reviewer and an affiliate links section for gadgets I believe in. What do you think is a realistic timeline to build a good site that can get me the financial assistance to visit the first stop on my tour? I am on leave for some health issues at the moment so I could have blocks of time to spend on a site.
I tried to follow the new WA Affiliate Bootcamp, but in splicing the old lessons with new ones and trying to lay it out I think some things got repeated and /or omitted from the newer format.
How much actual WordPress do I need to know if I use the WA hubs and site rubix? I have tried to launch several sites over the years and there are always problems getting things to look good. Problems FTPing things, or getting a secure connection with the included SSL, lots of prompts to upgrade and purchase templates and plugins galore.
But this time I want to stick with it and get it done. I've been a quiet member for nine years. I want more bang for my bucks. You have been a success here, could you take a look at my site and point me toward helpful places to learn what I need to ?
Good luck with your latest move and blessings for restored health.
