Hey Mollies,

Once you've paid for a domain (it's much like a driver's license - due yearly or it expires and non-refundable) it stays in your name until the year is up.

If you checked to have your domain renew automatically, you'll want to uncheck that option so that once the year is up, that domain name will go up for sale.

In the meantime, you may as well use a redirect from the old site to the one site you moved the content to.

If you purchased the domain name registration through Wealthy Affiliate, then SIteSupport should be able to assist you by adding a redirect from the old site to the new one.

Once they tell you it has been completed, be sure to test to see that the old site redirects properly.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for the information; yes, I plan to keep the domain, as it will need to continue pointing to that information now on my new site. i will contact support. thanks for input, M

Options -Indexes

I have no clue! But you do have some good advice here. All the best.

i have gone in circles with this issue on my website. I have already contacted support but was told I need to contact the app developer. it keeps saying on my health report of

Kyle has mentioned a few times that you can disregard the site health notices you see in your WP dashboard. Most of the time, if you have any actual issues that need addressing, you’d see them.

I did not initially think it was an issue, but now it seems to be interfering with my efforts to get AdSense to work correctly under Google Site Kit.

Hey Mollie,

SiteSupport is correct, you do need to reach out to your theme developer. Simply search the internet for your WordPress theme...

EXAMPLE SEARCH:
WordPress theme [name of your theme goes here]

And once you find the WordPress page that introduces viewers to the theme, click on the Support link and put in a ticket.

If you are not yet a WordPress member, you will need to sign up in order to put in a ticket.

The fastest way to resolve theme and/or plugin issues is to reach out to the developers with such issues.

Hope you find this helpful.

thank you so much for this, i will work on it today, M

I have two questions about the Amazon affiliate program tax information for Canada. It isn't apparent to me. One question asks :
Do you want to benefit from a reduced withh

Hey Mollie,

Sounds like the same sort of questions Canadians get when joining Amazon(dot)com, so being as you are an American applying to Amazon(dot)ca, please DO seek out an accountant that understands cross border taxes.

Also... here's tidbit of info you MAY want to know.

I'm Canadian and for YEARS my personal blog sat on a Toronto, ON Canada web server... BUT... had far more American visitors then Canadian.

Thus, once I joined WA, I felt it important to transfer my personal blog over to the WA America web server so that my American viewers would gain an advantage with loading speed, etc.

Knowing this, when it came time to sign up for Amazon I chose the Amazon(dot)com... well, for obvious reasons.

Then Amazon made it possible for us to use their OneLink so that we might gain an advantage with our 'beyond America's borders' viewers wanting to buy whatever we were writing about.

Well, I jumped right in and signed up for Amazon(dot)ca as well as other countries. It wasn't ma-a-a-aybe 6 months and Amazon(dot)ca informed me they were taking back my affiliation with them due to a lack of viewers.

Turns out I get more American and UK viewers than Canadians. Go figure...

Just wanted you to know this so that you don't end up jumping through hoops to appease Amazon(dot)ca only to have them kick you off in 6 months time.

Hope you find this helpful.

That's a great comment here, Trish! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much for this , great to know.

I would seek the advice of a professional here, as each person's tax situation is different, and to get updated insights.

However, what doesn't usually apply to you is a No.

Thanks for always being so helpful ! M

You are welcome, and have a great start to the week :)
