Thanks for the feedback! However I still want to know if redirecting is something I can do. It seems like it can be done but maybe not highly recommended.
You can do that; it depends on where your domain is registered. Usually, you'd log in to your current registrar and look under the domain dashboard in settings to redirect it.
If both sites have content, you can do that by external hyperlinks, connecting the two where relevant.
Is your current blog and website getting major traffic? If so, there’s no need to redirect it. If not, then might as well go through the training and create a new one the right way.

You would just need to attach your new blog link to the word "BLOG" on your website. But you would need a different domain name for your blog.
I suggest using the same as what your website is now, with ".co" since your already have ".com" on your website. That's what I have done — I have both domains for my brand and business.
