I have a long time friend from Nigeria, very good friend and nice...They are the good Nigerians I think. I told him about WA but he told me that they Nigerians we
We don't allow Starter memberships in certain countries for many reasons. We have determined that because of high rates of fraud and gaming that we do not allow Starter accounts from these countries.
By all means they can still join as a Premium member from Nigeria, so they are not fully excluded.
Hi, I came across your blog when I was looking for the answer of "if Nigeria was banned from WA?" I saw on the internet that Nigeria was banned, and then I saw somewhere else where they weren't banned.
So, it looks like this blog took place 5 months ago and it seems like Nigeria is not banned, correct?
They just have to sign up under a premium membership, right!
or has something changed?
Nigeria is NOT banned, they just can't get the Starter membership, they can sign up as a Premium member.

Good to meet you. Nigerians are not banned from WA. However, they can only join as premium members. Apparently there are high incidents of fraud associated with Nigeria and other countries. See a full list here. Countries Excluded From Free Starter Member - Complete List :)

It is not terrorism that gets countries banned it is fraud. I do not think anyone that has been on the Internet more then a month would not know that there is a lot of fraud that comes out of Nigeria.
The countries are not banned they are just no free memberships. They can get a paid membership.
i actually think that most of the fraud comes from Nigeria but my eyes were opened when met these couple of friends in my search of passive income...they go wherever I go...we both scammed together...what I love them is they always go with me wherever i join that is why i invited them here...but yes must be in Premium membership...Just sad a lot of good people were affected because of the bad onese...
I know that certain countries are considered to be a terrorism threat by the US. There are certain sanctions against people in these countries. I would recommend looking at the State Department's regulations. Good luck to your friend
Wow! Had no idea that terrorism would affect programs like this. Just goes to show that it's a really big issue!
My apologies. I thought it was the terrorism issue, but the fraud issue makes more sense. Never too old to learn something. Thank you everyone.
