Last week, we chased away the wolves. So this week, PLEASE. Let us focus on building our business. If each of us focus on posting great content and operating with honesty & integrity; our earning potential is HUGE. The sky is the limit.

The spammers, scammers and those who prey off of broke, helpless people will always be bottom feeders. Let the bottom feeders fight over the crumbs. Do not allow yourself to get so focused on the bottom dwellers and the scams that you forget to look up at the sky.

Yesterday, I spent all day researching blogger conferences. Many successful bloggers like to attend these conferences. These bloggers are not the bottom feeder types. These are the stars and other successful bloggers.

Yet, when cost of these conferences is taken into consideration, once again I realized how much value we get from our Wealthy Affiliate membership.

If you look up towards the sky, you will see the stars. You find see lots of successful affiliate marketers flying around like happy birds.

It is unrealistic to think that everyone will end up being a star. I may never become an affiliate marketing star earning millions of dollars each year. That is ok. I will be more than happy to be soaring like one of the many birds that earn a full time income from affiliate marketing.

Do you REALLY understand the VALUE

of the Wealthy Affiliate training?

When it comes to promoting WA, I decided that I want my target audience to consist of people that will appreciate the VALUE that Wealthy Affiliate provides. I would like to think that I have been a WA member long enough to be able to fully appreciate the value. Since many of you are newer members, I hope what follows will help you better comprehend the value we get.

Blogger Conferences & Training Events

Yesterday, my goal was to publish three posts to my websites. Since Google analytics tells me that my best performing website is my website in the food niche, I decided to start with it. Since I really want to attend Vegas 2020; I have been searching my mind for ways to talk about Wealthy Affiliate on a food website.

Finally, I came up with what I thought was the bright idea to talk about food blogger conferences. So, I started researching food blogger conferences. My thinking was that I could compare the price of a food blogger conference ticket to the price of Wealthy Affiliate's annual membership.

That comparison would allow me to provide a concrete example of the value that we get from Wealthy Affiliate. 12 hours and 3,985 words later; I was not able to finish pulling information for 2019 blogger conferences that are being held in the United States this year.

Granted, I did decide to expanded my types of blogger conferences to include more than just "food" conferences because the attendees often go to other types also. They seem to like traveling blogging conferences and general online marketing /social media conferences also.

Due to time limitations, I decided not to even consider blogger conferences held in other parts of the world. Granted, there is a wine blogger conference in Australia, that tempted me to include conferences outside of the US.

At 11 pm last night, a glass of wine was sounding very tempting. Maybe in the future I will have time to write about the wine bloggering conference?

Anyway, this morning, I thought I would share a few insights that I gained while doing my research. Since, I would like to encourage you to do your own research, I will not list the names of the conferences below.

Insights about Training Available at Blogger Conferences

  • There is no real secret to affiliate marketing success. (Pick a niche, build a website, provide your target audience the information they seek regularly and consistently. Understand that organic traffic takes the longest to get. Yet it is the most sustainable and it will yield the greatest return, if you exclude your personal labor cost. Strive to keep up with what is going on in your niche, social media and the online world. Adapt as necessary)
  • Attending blogging conferences is a popular way of learning, keeping abreast of current trends, and networking.
  • Most conferences are 2 - 3 days in length. The larger ones have pre-conference workshops that are available at an extra cost.
  • Small conferences cost less. Some conference organizers to make the costs to attendees more affordable by holding small conferences, with maybe 200 or attendees, in multiple cities throughout the year. Not counting travel costs, most of these conferences seem to be priced in the $200-$300 price range.

  • Some conferences and/or conference pre-workshops sell out early. So, it is important to plan in advance. For example, there is a Mommy conference in Austin at the end of April. They expect a 1,000 attendees this year. It is already sold out and they are not longer accepting people on the wait list.
  • The larger annual conferences attract more people. They also cost significantly more. For example, there is social media conference that will be held in San Diego at the end of March. If people don't purchase their tickets by tomorrow (March 5th) the price for all access ticket will jump for $1,502 to $1,597 per person. This conference has 17 different tracks related to social media. Attendees do get access to conference recordings since they can not be in 17 places at one time.
    1. The ticket prices do not include travel or hotel.
    2. This conference is on my bucket list of things to do in the future.
    3. One of the things that this conference is proud of is that the conference speakers are NOT allowed to promote their products or services from the stage. They can only educate..... Sounds like WA's no spam policy here.
  • Training geared towards new bloggers seems to cost more in some cases. For example, one of the most popular food blogger conferences, offers a 2-day foodie boot camp. The boot camp is held prior to the start of the event. The boot camp costs $2,000. You are not allowed to register for the boot camp unless you also purchase the $450 ticket to attend the regular conference. (This conference is on my bucket list also)

So, if you sign up for the $2,000 Foodie Bootcamp, what do you get? According to their website, participants will find "A room full of beautiful backdrops, props, fresh ingredients laid out and ready for you. All you have to do is bring your camera and laptop to start creating content for YOUR blog" Oh, la, la.... fun, fun, fun

  1. Day 1 is dedicated towards taking pictures of food. Each person will have their own "foodtography" station.
  2. Day 2 focuses on "photo editing, blog writing, post crafting. They have SEO, Pinterest and photography experts available to guide the participants.

Now, I must admit, the Foodie Bootcamp sounds like a lot of fun.

Yet, before I would recommend that someone spend $2,000 on a blogging course; I would suggest they try out a training program like Wealthy Affiliate to make certain they are going to be truly interested in blogging first.

After all, how many times wanted to try something new? Or how about you? Then once you tried it, you discovered that it wasn't really something you wanted to do? However, if you don't try, how do you know for sure? Affiliate marketing is the same way.

A Wealthy Affiliate membership is $49 a month. That investment that allows a person to learn how build a website, the principles of affiliate marketing as a way to monetize your website, SEO, and writing content. For $49 a month, a person will also have the opportunity to learn about other ways to monetize websites. They will also get to hear about many of the latest trends that impact blogger and online marketers. Of course, if someone wants to save even more money and get more value from each dollar invested, the annual membership is the way to go.

Yikes.... I got kind of wordy again. Sorry. The point that I really want to make is this:

Conclusion

Spend some time looking up into the sky. Then focus on your website. If you ever find yourself questioning Wealtly Affiliate's value, take some time to research blogger conferences. Look at the topics on the agenda. Then think about the training and networking opportunities that we have here. Wealthy Affiliate is a GREAT value.

--I hope you all have a great week.

I agree with you Sondra, I want people to appreciate the value of WA as well, which is why I only mention it when people really want to know, otherwise I have my head down working hard and just waiting for the day, I can actually show them my own success.

Thanks for another great blog :)

Thank you!!!! I wish that I had been as disciplined and focused as you are when I first started.

Best wishes for finding success even faster than you truly expect in your heart.

Thank you my dear, it is more out of necessity, than for pleasure that I am focused. If it weren't for my current situation I would be not as focused, so don't be too hard on yourself :) I am a fairy tale girl too :)

Great post Sondra. You are so right about the value that WA adds to anyone wanting to get into or advance their blog success. Thanks so much for sharing.
Ray

Thank you Ray!

I just noticed your profile picture. You are already soaring up their with the other birds. Now it will be fun to watch how high you decide to go.

Best wishes!

Thank you Sondra. My brother-in-law is a nature photographer. He is always sharing some great shots. So I asked if I could use his photos and he said, go for it. I love that shot too.
Sometimes I feel like a chicken trying to soar like an eagle, then other times I feel an eagle that mistakenly got left with a bunch of chickens... Just thinking - Have a blessed day.

Sandy

You are welcome Sandy. I really do prefer to think about positive things.

I love the way you write. Very engaging and full of information. Thanks.

Thank you for the compliment about my writing.

I hope the information will spark some ideas that you can use in the future.

Cheers.

Over the top Sondra. Common sense not spending a fortune to attend a conference and all of a sudden discover that they are using terms your never heard and you have this strang ‘what am I doing here look’.

Like I have said to many of the newbies who join my network. This group of people are the bestest in the world. Everyone here is welling to help (even the smarts challenged like me) they willingly answer questions and give all kinds of support. I have NEVER been involved in a better and friendly group.

Thanks for point out that we don’t have to be the most successful person in the world, just be comfortable with ourselves and those around us.

Barry

I've always thought that you are pretty smart Barry.

Like you, I feel like the WA community is the bestest in the world.

After meeting so many great people here, I've come to the conclusion that we are each a piece to a puzzle. We each have our own individual role. Yet, when the puzzle is put together, we work together to form a beautiful picture.

I hope you have a wonderful week Barry.

The 'worth' here is priceless, not just the training and videos but the wealth of other members with their training and insight. Everyday 24/7.
Thank you Sondra.

Well said Twack. Even today's blog feed is a perfect example. We have the opportunity to learn about what does not work. What is working. Ideas, tips, inspiration. Everyday 24/7.

Great post! I agree that there is a huge value in the Wealthy Affiliate Membership! The support and education alone is a tremendous value.

Thank you Fleeky.

I just had to Google "penguins" Because of you, my dear friend, penguins are currently my favorite bird. But, then I started wondering, are penguins really birds?

It turns out that penguins are very special birds. Just as you are a very special person.

I hope you have a great week.
