About Skyhorse
Joined June 2013
I love reading Robert Kiyosaki and have read all but about 4 of his books, and I have read all the Real Estate Investing books. I am working towards being a real estate investor in my life as well and want to have an income online to go along with that. One of my BIG BIG goals to do with all my money is start a horse rescue to save horses, train them to be reliable trail mounts, or maybe even some low level competition and work with people to find them good homes that they will be cared for. That is my why in wanting to get passive income and a lot of it.

I love your pictures! Is that an Arabian? I have had 4 now and they are truly my favorite breed to work with! Good luck on your rescue! I truly hope you can achieve your goal!!! I run a non-profit riding stable for kids with emotional and attachment issues. One day I hope to get at least one rescue in to be part of the program!

wellwell..Done all that and do. so I would be happy to help you with any of it. We have 30 horses here and train for trail and ranch, I take the worst the so called untrainables and ride them with nothing...Trick is to ask them everything then they will let you ride. Had a love for real estate and horses all my life, don't be like the rescue mindsets just pick each one for your own personal horse and build the bond, then they will only go to good homes, but don't wait, start right now..TODAY is the first day of the rest of your life.

Really like your outlook on things. My wife and I love horses too. Don't ride so much now. Did a lot of western trail riding. I had an AQH named Queenie, my wife had an Appaloosa name Jetson we could not get to walk thru water not even a puddle, we really enjoyed being on trail rides together. Most of the good stabes have gone under here or they are just to expensive to board here in New Jersey boarding your horse shoeing vet care is the same as paying a second mortgage on a $300k house. We have a couple interest in common Skyhorse.

How's it going skyhorse? Strange, but I thought we were already following each other! I've signed petitions against what they do to horses in your country food wise. I wish you every success with your horse rescue operation when you set it up. I love animals so that may be something we have in common. I'm giving you a follow back. Kindest regards.
Reply
skyhorse Premium
You know, I thought so too that we were following each other. But sometimes it happens like that, lol.

And thank you. I really am starting to see (not in an arrogant way) but how much of a deep understanding I have about training the horse and getting a solid mount. With that I know I will produce some very high quality horses for people.

And don't even ask how many cats I have. I was looking at it the other day and was like, "Wow, I have a lot of cats." All pretty much rescued though. They didn't have anywhere else to go except the pound and I didn't want them to go there.

The highlighted link still has an underline.

On something like that you usually just would highlight the word and then unclick the underline box. It is by were you can bold words and italicize them.

Hi Skyhorse,
That article was a real gem. I think I'm on the same track because I invested in WA so I can make a similar journey.

I also didn't grow up in a horse environment but after my mom had put me through ballet classes, art, ceramics, modern dance, acting, music lessons and social dance. None were of any interest to me. I asked if it was o.k to drop the lessons. She was shocked. She blurted out, "I've tried everything! What Do you want?" And that was the first time she had ever asked.

I told her I wanted to ride horseback. And after she recovered from this she allowed me to do so and began to find out who I was.
Reply
skyhorse Premium
Well, trying all those things is great. I think more people should try more things. Its great you yourself through the horse. I wanna be like Deepak Chopra but with a horse element.

And thank you, that article has gotten the most views, probably because of the title. Spending money to get rich? Doesn't spending money make you poor?

Hi and thanks for following. I think its great that you want to rescue horses. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats that were homeless before they came to live with my family and I. I'd have horses if I could keep them as house pets.
Reply
skyhorse Premium
I would so have my horses inside the house!!! And there was a show I saw about that actually happening. They had to take the whole wall out to get the horse out. It had its own complete room with bedding and everything.

Yeah, a lot of my cats and dogs just sort of adopted us I say. Showed up and haven't left because this is were the food is.

Horses in the house... I'm imagining potty training a horse... or would they box train... probably a horsey door would be the best option. I've got a fat old man cat. For the most part he's a mean cat and doesn't want to be bothered. I tell people he's not our cat, he's just a free-loader who lives at our house. He showed up on our front porch about 8 years ago and made himself at home. I don't think he's got much time left in him. I'll miss him terribly when hes gone.

Reply

Dogs and horses both respond well to positive reinforcement. I saw a Karen Pryor video where they were rewarding Horses will apple slices to get them over shyness with 4wheelers. They were using a technique called clicker training that is quite popular with many dog trainers.
Reply
skyhorse Premium
Clicker training. To train the dog to respond positively to the clicker when a behavior you want to continue happens. That way when they hear the clicker they think positive and know they did good.

Pavoles the phycologist who figured that out with the bell.

Yup, Ivan Pavlov started it. Karen Pryor has popularized it. http://dogtrainingrochester.com/classical-conditioning/

I LOVE painted ponies. I don't have a huge collection right now but I do collect them. And what I love about them are the variety. If you like cats, there is a cat pony, wolves, a wolf pony, Harley davison, there is a motocycle pony, anything you can possible think of there is a painted pony for you.

If you want to read about my journey with my information and action here is a blog, https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/skyhorse/blog/am-i-couchable-you-decide it goes into a little bit of my knowledge and my journey.

I never thought of seeing if painted ponies has an affiliate program. That's such a good idea. That's why I love having people with outside perspectives, because sometimes we are to close to the situation to see it all.

Heya there, thanks so much for the follow!

I know what you mean bout Robert Kiyosaki...read some of his books and went to a real estate conference based his ideas. Online marketing fits quite well with his "get out of the rat race and onto the fast track".

Online marketing is similar to real estate...for example: website flipping...same idea as house flipping....except you can build up the value of a website with your writing skills and time without having to invest money in it at all. (Though as time goes on and you have the extra money to put into it, that will make the value higher.)

I LOVE horses!!!! I love the fact that you're starting a horse rescue!!! I'm definitely gonna check out your website!

Good luck with everything!

That's why I'm doing passive income so I can do horses.

Hi skyhorse. Thanks for the follow. I loved your goals, especially concerning the horse rescue. I want to start a dog rescue in the future, there are many dogs living on their own here in my country and I feel very bad for them. All the best =D

Thanks, I hate it when the shelters are full and can't take anymore animals. Its very sad, and that is why I want to do what I am to help better. You can do so much more when you ha e lots of money. Not mention all you can go do for fun.
Reply

Exactly! Having lots of money is amazing, not only you can do a lot of things for fun you can also help those in need. That's certainly my goal: being financially free. I forgot to mention I love reading Kiyosaki too!

OMG!!!! I another Kiyosaki lover!!! YAY!!! As you can tell already I am EXCITED!!!! What ones have you read?
Reply
marinaschon Premium
I discovered about Kiyosaki only a few months ago. I was hooked. I already read Rich Dad Poor Dad twice and Rich Dad Scams. Any suggestions on which I should read next? lol

I never knew about Rich Dad Scams. Wow, there are SO many out there and they are all great.

Here's the thing, if you like the story that he is telling, go ahead and read them in order. Rich dad, Cashflow Quadrant, Guide to Investing, Rich Kid Smart Kid, Prophecy, (I do recommend still reading this one even after 2008 happned), but If you want to just read, trust me, any of them would be good, Conspiracy of the Rich, GREAT book. Raise your financial IQ, WONDERFUL. Get out of debt without cutting up your credit cards, who took my money, FANTASTIC.

If you join rich dad world you can play cashflow 101 online. Great game, I can play it with you too.

Rich Dad Scams is a short book, it's actually an e-book that you can download for free on Rich Dad World. I've tried to play Cashflow 101 there before but the game would never load. I'll try again. I guess it makes sense reading the books in order, so Cashflow Quadrant is up next.

You don't have to, I certainly didn't read them in order. I would go to Hastings (LOVE that store) and would get them used on sale for 3 for $21, so what ever 3 they had I would get and read. But yep, Cashflow Quadrant is next!!!

Skyhorse, Thank you for the following. I did like your 8 page writing on "Goals". I too use the S.M.A.R.T. goals format in my everyday life. You being a real estate investor, then you probably have heard of Dean Graziosi and if you haven't, check out his website, it's really informative and truthful. Good Luck. LIAM

Hi, thanks for following. Those are fantastic goals, I would also like to be able to help suffering animals in some way and I do a few small charity auctions on eBay for the local rescue centre. With a profile like that I think you are destined for success

Glad to know you believe that. I believe that there are 2 different kinds of ways to help. Both are really good. You can donate your time to something and help out with your labor. Like a soup kitchen or something. Or you can donate your money, and help their funds grow and expand.

I've seen a lot of different causes and great things not get going because they don't have the money to open the doors. That to me is what keeps me going. The horse rescue is just one of my big goals. People need good horses, and I know that some people want one but the really well trained are way out of their price range, but I'll work with them and help them get a horse they love.

All sadly very true, it is sad that a lot of good causes fail because of lack of funding and sometimes we are so wrapped up in our own lives and situations we forget that there are always others who have a greater need.

If we all gave a little it would collectively make up a massive effort that would surely make the world a much better place?

Hey Skyhorse,
I am new to WA. I read your bio and goals. Love your horses! I have gone through a lot of the same craziness over the last few years. My latest was also Empower Network. I've also had a lot of education in Real Estate Investing. That's a market that is constantly changing and there's always a new strategy. I live in the Dallas, Tx area.
I've got a twist for ya......My favorite animal is the Buffalo and I would love to have Ranch with a small herd....What do you think about that?

Keep in touch.....

Dalles, that's cool, I have a friend that moved to San Antonio last December and 3 of the major horse trainers I follow live in Texas. Stevensville, and Mineral Wells are 2 of the places. I love your Buffalo idea, now I know I have a place to desensitize my horses to Buffalo at.

I'd love to talk about real estate investing. I am saving up right now to actually start building relationships with banks just for that purpose of real estate. I'd love to learn and know what you know about that. Thanks so much!!!

Have been following you for sometime. Your sites are doing great. Share your love of the Arabian. Many of the Austrialian brumbies are lost Arabians and our family ranch tries to save them. Really enjoy your direction on your affiliate site - learning what the rich know. Your dedication is admirable. Thank you for the follow.

Thanks for your encouragement!!! I'm glad to know that my information is getting out there and people are liking what they read. And I will say since I have had my 2 Arabs no other breed matters. I want the smart loyal ones and arguable the Arabs are one of the smartest if not the smartest type of breed.

Arabians are one of the oldest human-developed horse breeds in the world and a progenitor breed. Yet 4500 years old and who was the original? A mystery.
