It is still in Beta stage. Not sure whether it will become the next social media star. Let's wait and see!
Well, Google Plus will shut down by August 2019. That's still about 10 months to go. Google may already have something else to replace G+...may be or may be not. BUT at WA we still have Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook. Each of them has over 200 million global users. With G+ going, WA members still have exposure to over 600 million consumers. Like you said, "webtalk" might turn out to be another great social media platform - may be or may be not.
Seems like WTalk has been in Beta for years. I think they are not going to be what they advertise. Hope I am wrong.
From what I've learnt, Google takes over G+, Pinterest and Youtube. If G+ going down, maybe you can start with Pinterest.
My alternative would be Facebook. I don't know what other social media platform that I could use anymore. huhu
I've heard about it. But I don't have access to it since no one refer me. I think it could be a great social media platform. But I don't know they could go even further because most of social media user come from teenagers that only want to have fun. Webtalk, I think more toward to professional social media like linked in.
If you know about TikTok, they make a fortune in short period of time because a lot of teenager and below 18 using that platform.
World population now has too many teenager and under 18 people. So I don't think webtalk can be successful like Facebook. People are moving to Instagram and LinkedIn right now.
I just understood that there is a mass migration group springing up all over - so I'm thinking that Kyle can lead the WA in choosing a new platform where the community could grow together.
I learnt that big mass migration groups are looking into options like MeWe, Mastodon and Pluspora.
I don't know about Webtalk, but I saw some WA members are interested in it. Probably we should be looking at indexing, data protection, accessibility to wider audience...
Yes, l have joined them but not really active as they are still in Beta Mode. Just wait and see what will come up.

A lot of affiliate marketing links come as 'scripts'/'codes' but are flagged to be incompatible with Https. When images are linked, browsers flag this as insecure and providest
Never encounter such problem. I believe since Google is emphasizing on secure sites, I don't think i would want to paste a code that is still not implementing the SSL on their site. My concern would be the adverse effect it might have on my site.
Let hear what others got to say.

Thanks Jo for your comment.
Technically, a link might be safe or unsafe, and when it is unsafe it could scare people away from a website.
I removed most links and scripts of a certain affiliate partner from my site because they were unsafe. It took me days to track them down as the source of the insecurity. It was not obvious in the beginning when I added the affiliate scripts but as my site became more and more indexed in Google, with some traffics coming up, the insecurity became obvious. Even when there is green padlock on the site, the browsers will flag issues of insecurity to visitors. So by removing the scripts and codes, no further security issues were flagged by browsers.

They aren't shutting down until next fall.
