I am having a few problems with text on my webpage. Specifically getting it to fit on a line correctly. It looks fine in the editor but once I check it on the webpage online of
It looks to me that you press Enter to go to each new line when you type. Just type till the end of a line and let the editor do the job.
Yes this is exactly what I am doing lol. I like to space my writing for easy reading so hit enter at the end of a sentence.
In this case what is the best way to get to a new line without using enter key? Or to space your posts for easy reading?
Basically I just type and space like I would in a Word document.

Make only paragraphs with enter-key. Otherwise just type sentences one after another and editor will keep them in a single paragraph.

In the bullet points down the bottom of the page it does some of the breaking the words up with a hyphen. I am using firefox btw.
the example is the text
Put sellotape ( sticky side out) or tin foil over the spot we currently scratch. This discourages us from trying to scratch there as it doesn’t feel nice, so we are more likely to try that nice new scratching post reeking of delicious catnip.
When viewed on the web page the word currently is split with the hyphen over 2 lines.
the text code for this line is
The theme I am using is twenty fourteen
Any help would be appreciated

My Site is constructed around the Christian Faith. So I'm pretty sure eventually, I'll be getting comments that will be lambasting (it comes with the territory), and will eventually start getting links like what you got that are pretty much useless to anyone but the one who left it. But if it's anything that you can use and respond to, to increase more useful content on your site, then let it fly!

in the end I got support to get it all sorted. They know more about how it all works than me hehehe and they did a fantastic job!
You can do it by going to Dashboard>Tools>Export, then click on "Export" again. Choose "All content", then click on "download export file" button. Go to your WA dashboard>tools>import and click on "Wordpress", then choose the same file. This will take a little while and they will notify you when done, but you can refresh your posts view and see them showing up.
From my experience it will fail to import your images to WA. I had to manually download each file and then put them into my posts.... They actually showed up in my post, but if you look at where they are coming from, they are linked to your old WordPress site and not imported. So check this first before you kill your old site!
If there is an easier way to get the images imported, I have not found it...
Once you get the content moved and the site like you want, then you can change the dns over to WA hosting. That is the easy part :)

I will do this to ensure everything is transferred. Better safe than sorry :)
I intend to have a different site(for my husbands business) hosted at the old host as I paid for 3 years hosting back in august, so they are going to sort out changing the primary domain name their end once i add the new domain name to my account there. Once I get the existing site transferred I will be deleting the old webpage files there, so you are right to advise me to make sure I have copies of the pictures lol
One other thing to think about is that if you have FTP access to your old site, you can move the images over much faster. I did not have FTP access to my free wordpress.com website, so I had to download each image individually. FTP would make this much easier!
I do have the ftp access but haven't set up anything to do with ftp there, such a noob with this sort of stuff.
So far I have made a new free site rubix site here with the same name, and am seriously thinking of making a support ticket to get talked thru the process.
I feel kind of silly saying i not know how to do ftp. Its probably a real simple process hehehe but not something I have done before.
Fortunately it is not a huge site I have made so I will plod on following what you have told me to do and see how I go and contact support if I get stuck

Hi. You might want to contact your current host to see how they have you go about moving your domain to WA. It shouldn't involve much more than directing the nameservers to WA. :)
is changing the nameservers enough though to move the current site I have built itself as well?
The only thing changing the nameservers is going to do is to point your domain name to the new server. It will not move anything to your new site.
