What does the community think about pagination on blog entries? Kyle talks about using headers and paragraphs to break up a long blog entry and make it easier to read. Paginatio

Personally, when I visit other websites for information, few things irritate me more than having to click "next" or "2", "3" "4" etc. Particularly if it is a slow loading page or if I have a slow internet connection. I'd rather scroll to keep reading.

I'd think that any blog post that gets long enough to require pagination could possibly be more effective if it were broken up into a series of posts. Once you exceed your readers' attention spans, any extra length on a post probably won't get read.

In your experience, how long is too long? I got a recommendation to paginate a 750 word article!

I wouldn't think that a 750-word article would benefit from pagination. That word count would fall into what I would consider a "normal" length post.

I feel a lot of people will not move on to the next one

I am trying to connect to my WA website using FileZilla. Has anyone seen this problem before? Looks like I can connect, but cannot retrieve the directory listing. I am hoping

I submitted a case and got this resolved. In case anyone else has this issue, you must change your transfer mode to "Active" before you can connect.

Hey, cmessa I have the same problem. where I can change my transfer mode?

Man, thank you so much. You helped me a lot. I've struggled with this thing for 4 hours

Hi Corbett, I am not going to be able to help you however I experienced a similar situation when accessing a different server using FileZilla. The conclusion was that the setup at the server end was incorrect. I suggest you log a support call. Good luck.

I just used Filezilla and did not have any issues. It might be just a temporary glitch.

Are you using the latest version of FileZilla - http://3.10.1.1.

I find that it works best if in the Host field, I do not enter in the
ftp or http protocol in front of the domain name.

I do not type in the port number 21, but Kyle says not doing so can cause some issues:

What port do I use for FTP

If that doesn't help, there are several free FTP tools out there, e.g. Core LE FTP or Smart FTP, and you can search for others.
