Side tracked with SEO
Having spent the last two or three weeks, it may have been longer. Working on SEO and meta tags and still not really managing to figure out what I have do to get traffic to my site. I have gone back to the training and will now concentrate on building content.
I can't explain why I got sidetracked. At the time it seemed like the way forward, but I have now realised that I was wrong. Good quality content is the way forward. It can be difficult at times. Generating ideas with low hanging keywords, not repeating what you may have said in another article. Finding suitable images and getting the layout right. So, a lot of work ahead.
I am sharing this because I guess that we all want traffic and ultimately revenue from our websites. Maybe the newer people will be concerned about this, and maybe some of the more experienced members also. So try to stay focused on the content.
Cheers

I know the feeling. For now I have not a problem with my content. Is it an idea to ask good friends to ask them to write a blog for you? (That is what my idea will be.)
WE all get sidetracked with somethings at times, but you're still working hard and it will all come together . You'll know how it's going in good time, but not without content. Ilove writing if you ever need help!

Thank you for your comments. If I run out of ideas I will take you up on your offer. Cheers Robert
I'm pretty sure that content is the cake, SEO and meta tags are part of the frosting. Best wishes for your success!
Don't be so sidetracked with optimizing that you don't create the content to optimize indeed!
I do have traffic but it's so minimal. However, I know I only have a few content so I don't expect too much.
My point really is that my site has been indexed on google for about a month, but still no traffic. I guess I find that frustrating.
If you have 30 posts or more but you are not getting any traffic maybe you need more work on social media promotion.
That could be the way forward. I will have to try it. If I'm honest I was thinking that social media would take up too much time, but it could pay off. Thank you Robert
traffic to your website comes in multiple ways---promoting through content writing, advertising on yahoo, bing, and Google,
Building the perfect website isn't going to get you traffic---using social media, helps also
Thanks for your comment. I understand that social media is a what to generating traffic. I'm not looking for perfection just something that looks professional and informative.
Cheers
Robert
there is no such thing as perfection but as a perfectionist yourself you want everything to be perfect and run smoothly---one of the best ways to market is building a relationship with your prospects first

Continue to vary your content, fish for those great keywords, and keep it interesting!
I believe that is the way forward. Cheers Robert
