Not something that can be one in the Site Content. You'll need to create the content then adjust it in the site.
Thanks for your reply. I had thought that might be the way. I guess I am looking for a shortcut.

Hi I have links to external website written within the body of text. I can set these links to open in a new page, ok so far. However, the banners I have on my site, WA promotio
If you are using google analytics you'll bounce rate should be shown there. I am using the Insight plugIn and this gives me all of my number of hits there, geographical location, time on my site and the bounce rate. I therefore have very accurate information about my site performance.

Just a thought from a user point of view ( my view ). When I see a link on a page, I will right click to open in a new tab. View the new content and then go back to the other tab so I can keep going with the referring page. But thats just me. Problem is that I can end up with 20 or more tabs open in any given session.
Interesting thought tho. I'll be looking into this.
Thanks all for sharing
Yes, I was going down the same route, until someone mentioned bounce rate. That got me thinking that there must be better way.
Cheers
Robert
Umm, bounce rate??
sounds like I need to do a little investigating here, or stop missing those all important office memo's. lol
if you add target="_blank" to your link in your banner then it will open in a new window.
some say that opening in a new window does take them away from your site and they never return - whereas if it opens in the same tab they are used to using the back button to navigate back to your site.... just thoughts

Thanks Phill For your reply. Yes get that about the 'back button'. It had crossed my mind when writing the question.
This is interesting. I have never thought that if people open the page in a new tab, they won't come back. I always thought it would be the other way around. That they would click on the page for so long, that they would forget about mine. Thanks for sharing, this is an interesting point of view.
Have a nice day.
