About JWyngaarden
Joined February 2017
My name is Johan Wijngaarden, 69 years, happilly married, two children, two grand children and retired, living in the Netherlands. Hobbies are walking, watching soccer, reading and writing and blues & boogie woogie (--->its music and its history/future). I will try to get a website here (on a hobby level) to show my short stories, hopefully have a blog section as well and on top of all that sell some more of the three books I wrote so far. All in Dutch (of which the better(?) stories will be translated in English, a propject I am still working on) My latest book (2015) is also in English and contains short stories (and many pictures, (So happy I did not blow these this time!!I) about my Blues Tour in the Mississippi Delta in September '14.

The site is just for fun while I am doing my WA lessons.
I do so much technical stuff in my business, so this site is an outlet.
Thanks!

Goede morgen Johan,

So you were the one who left this message on my website. I answered of course and told you off a bit as you did not leave a name and I could not see to whom I was talking. Anyhow, thank you for the visit. With this stumble upon you mean that you found me by chance on the internet?
I always tell new people I meet here that in case you need a good source for writing do have a look at my WA post on the Spanish priest and the world library, you might find it helpful.Wishing you lots of success, good luck.

Regards, Taetske

No, I did not find you on the internet, but on Wealthy Affiliate. In fact I read your name and thought right away that such a name could only be Dutch! Just to see I was right I clicked on your profile. I will check out the suggestions you made!

Thanks you, Syliva! Same here. And remember, when you think of me....my red hanky is such a small part of my live...so tiny, you can hardly see it. But I am testing stories on my site and here as a blog, before making up my second book in English...
Great to be in the WA family with you!

I looked over your site - your stories seem to be built as pages instead of posts - post would allow people to comment on your stores - it might be interesting for you to hear what people have to say - it would be a pain - but there is a tool to convert pages to posts to allow comments. "Post Type Switcher" -you can get it by searching plug ins (Idid the same thing at first) - there is so much wonderful content on your site - but no attempt to monetize it - there are so many affiliate links you could use to make money from it. There are several blog training courses that you could post inks to and get paid when someone signs up - of course WA training and on and on. You spend so much time putting your self out there - people want to know how to write or make a website or find programs about running or soccer and more. You might as well be the one who gives them access to the training and get paid for the help.

By the way have a friend from high school running many marathons each year at 64 -and finishing in the top 5 in his age group - runs the Boston every every year. I am not a fan of soccer - we did not play it as kids - played American Football - but then 30 years of rugby after high school. I miss hitting people - I still putter around several times a year to get my rugby fix.

You are 1,000% right! It IS my problem so far! (I am more of a story writer than being a blogger, although I have quite a few ideas for blogging too) YOU helped me to change it if the switch will work. Will try to put the site "upside down" this week! And why should not it! (I am in a great mood as I just solved a problem I had with google ad sense!!) It is, of course, my goal to be inter active with my (future) visitors. (friends already complained that they cannot react, but I did not know how to change it until you came in!) I will also complete the WA training over the weeks to come as well as be working on my second book (in English) "Ghost Runner".
I am still running three times a week (5 miles each, my daughter (31) beat me for the first time this year) From October to March I always run 6 crosses. My best ranking over these crosses is 3rd. Now I am again in the top 5, but this time being among the 5 oldest runners!
I know they say in Texas that a man is gay or a sissy, when he does not play football!
I was born almost next to the soccer field, so I loved it since I could walk. I was a goal keeper for 25 years and now, over the last 34 years, I am running.
I am so glad you like (a few of) my stories! I think I will try and be an affiliate for WA and Amazon and yes, I learned how to write a short story and might help people!
You've made my day!
Greetings from the Netherlands!
Johan

I ran 5 miles most days for the 30 years I played rugby as training - never ran a race - tried to go 10 miles one day and about crippled myself - don't understand my 'nutty' friend who runs 15 miles for fun - but I admire him. Hope that "plug in" helps you - people want to comment and tell you about your stories meaning to them - I think? Did you know that Chrome has a translator button to convert writing to your native language - used it on a Chinese site written buy a WA person - it was interesting to watch the script change before your eyes.

I grew up with an American football and baseball field almost in my front yard - was there most days from 5 years old on - I broke my father's heart when I switched from baseball (his passion) to tennis in 7th grade. Don't know soccer but it's great cardio for the players - maybe not so much for the goalkeeper??? Don't know - I rarely touched a soccer ball - my kids played some.and loved it.

You should be able to monetize your site - people will read what you write and hopefully visit what you are promoting. I will be 65 next month - keep running - it will keep you young and WE will not acknowledge our age.

My friend Rick ran A Penske Indy Car Team for 30 years (he won many, many Indy 500's) - he talked about his son eventually beating him in tennis and how he know he was getting old then. He and I played tennis and football together in high school,. We "fight" getting old every day!

His older brother went to college in his 40's and played linebacker on the college football team -.as well as school - and worked a full time job - not sure how he did it. But it made the papers.

Stay young and keep writing.

Dave

Hello Johan,♫Welcome! Nice to meet you again ツ I wish you a lot of learning pleasure and fun on WA. Thank you for adding me to your network.

From the start, I have written training for every issue I had problems with myself. I made an addition for After The Walkthrough. Also a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. I just love lists:) It has been very helpful to a lot of people. I have listed them in one blog you can find on my profile. It's the first website link right under “Follow me on” (click on my picture to get there). I hope to help you with those.

If you have any questions, please reply to this message or leave a comment on my profile.
Success building your business in 2017. See you around, Greetings Loes

Hi,
It's a very good idea to start with something you really have interest, is sure to succeed much better if you just rush into something completely new and unknown.

go on and good luck

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)
