Hello to everyone in the WA community. I'm Lori and its nice to meet everyone. WOW! It feels great to get started on this new journey in my life.

What can I tell you about myself? I'm a wife, mother of 4, grandmother of 12. My hobbies are arts and crafts, from painting rocks to making hair bows and wreaths, My biggest passion is all my critters, which the hubby calls my mini zoo, and that is actually very true. The profile picture is of Nikki Raccoon reclining on my bed with all his pillows, he is such a amazing creature. I could talk all day about my mini zoo, so I better stop while I'm ahead.

I always look forward to learning something new, and creating websites is going to be a real challenge since I'm barely learning my way around the computer.

In the future I will be able to create a website with the help of all the people here within the WA community. I look forward to hearing from all and gaining knowledge from each and everyone.

I just had wanted to add a new profile picture to show off my other two critters. Meet Tootsie pig and Allie

Personally, I like goals that reinforce success habits. You may decide that success following the WA training requires both keyword research and creating content around those keywords. Therefore a success habit would be to create content consistently over the long-haul at a rate that is doable for you.

If you can turn success activities into daily habits your on your way...

I guess Tootsie is fat enough not to be destructive. I love my pigs and they are able to run loose like my dog. I have 8 that range between 300-500lbs. I explain to people that they are like huge puppies. They love belly rubs and pets.

There is no way they can come in my house. I'm still trying to clean up a tack room/feed room that they "re-arranged" for me a couple months ago. They even managed to turn over over a mini fridge and get the freezer door off. An $80 bottle of Ivomec (cattle wormer) was spilled everywhere amongst other things.

It's a good thing I don't like to watch TV because their favorite thing to play with is the old tv and satellite cables. Unplugged extension cords are their next favorite. (They've never been around a plugged in one.... But they can find my stash...).

So...how do you keep Tootsie from tearing stuff up by simply being piggy?

Hi Sondra, Tootsie is actually a very behaved pig. even though she does not know she is a pig and she has never been outside. She was raised in the house with 8 dogs and 6 cats, she acts more like a dog then a pig. I have a squirt bottle full of water to keep everyone in line, everybody hates the bottle, all I have to do is pick it up and they run(even the hubby). Tootsie does have her moments when I tell her no she will run to her room and slam the door. She is potty trained, she uses her puppy pads to go potty on. She will not eat the pig pellets, she likes her fruits and vegies on top of the dog food. And when she is really mad she will stick her snout in the water bowl and cuss you out and blow bubbles at the same time, she is hilarious. She plays with all the dog toys and runs through the house and honks when she goes by. When the weather changes everyone acts up and they all have their running spells, all I do is move out of their way. She sleeps right next to our bed all night long. Even though she is illegal to have in town, I wouldn't part with her for the world. Like your pigs she loves her tummy rubbed.
Sondra I really do have a zoo at my house, I need to live out on the farm. We moved from the farm when I was 13 and I miss it bunches. I had turkeys, ducks, chickens, pigs, cows, horse's, dogs, cats, it was GREAT. Before I forget did you know you can use Ivomec and a heartworm preventive for dogs? Say you have a dog that weighs 100 pounds it would be 1 cc and you just squirt it in their mouth. Just some information. We used it at the shelter I worked for.
Well that was along answer, SORRY I ramble when I talk about my critters. Oh heck, jalapeno juice mixed with water in a squirt bottle works well to keep critters away from stuff they are not supposed to chew on, Just spray it on the stuff you don't want the pigs to get into.

I may have to try your suggestion on the "leave it alone solution." I've heard about Ivomec for dogs but never heard exactly how much to use, so I didn't want to accidentally kill my dog with it.

Tootsie sounds adorable. I enjoy being able to see my pigs run outside in the green grass and lay in the sun. Or trot or lope would be the better word for most of them. When the majority first came to my house, they were so unaccustomed to exercise that I was concerned they were going to die because they got so sore.

It sounds like the two of us could talk and talk. Lol. When I was a kid, we had a raccoon for a couple of years. His name was Baby Coon. Eventually, he was released into the wild at my mom's new place in the country that she had move to. I think he did fine.

I'm so glad that I happened to see a comment that you made on someone else's post. I thought that was a pig in the picture. Lol. Had to know more.

I hope you have a wonderful evening.

WOW, love the animal pics and looking forward to seeing the rest of them. Tootsie is such a brilliant name for that pig, because the first thing I saw was omg such little legs for such a large body - how does it walk around! And never saw or imagined a racoon on a bed - is it cleaning itself like a cat? I'm in Ireland, so we don't have them, except in cartoons :)

Honored to follow and humbled to be followed herein @ WA Lori .
Being fairly new my only advice is to 'use the tools' because I've found this place far&away; the best place to crawl, walk, and run.

My goal is to make people better in health via a Functional Wellness approach and look forward to 'reaching out' to many more here.

I wish you and yours much success in all of your business venture(s) and new life moments.

Be Well, Be Safe, & Be YOU! I remain ...

Hi Lori,
Thank you for following me, I do really appreciated it.
I love Nikki Raccoon! I have always wanted to have a raccoon! When I was a child (many many years ago) I used to have a fluff toy of one, and it was going with me everywhere. Which other critters you have? Is your website going to be based on them? That would be awesome.
I wish you all the best in your learning and future website. If you need help, just ask.
All the best

Hi Hisbel, My website is going to based om what to expect once you get your adopted pet home. It will just be on dogs and cats for now. Every critter I have has been rescued. I have so many critters you will think I am CRAZY. 2 rats, 4 ferrets, 2 rabbits, to guine pigs, 4 firebelly toads, 1 7ft red tail boa, 1 pink toed tarantula,8 dogs, 6 cats, 4 bearded dragons, 2 raccoons, 1 potbelly pig. And at one time I also rescued a baby calf from a bad place and had her in the house until I was able to find her a forever home. My daughter is just as bad but she always rescued opossoms. Well that is my mini zoo and it don't include the birds I feed outside or my hand fed squirrels.

Hi Lori,
It is lovely that you rescue so many animals! I will not know how to care for most of them. My pets are also from rescue centres. I have one dog and one cat, used to have two cats, but one passed away one year ago, it broke my heart.
The idea of your website is really good, many people want to rescue animals but have no clue how to start.
Best wishes with all your projects,
Hisbel

Hi Lori,

Thanks for the follow. Looks like you have your hands full.

Once you get the hang of it, it'll be like cooking or whatever you find to be an ordinary routine for you.

There is a bit of a learning process in the beginning. But, gradually you get your routine down and off you go.

Good luck, Lori, and thanks again for the follow. I followed you back.

Kyle

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)
