I don't know how, but an hour ago, started to appear everywhere pop-ups of an annoying sites, and I already restore my pc, clean cookies, history, etc, and they don't go away!!!
Its a virus your normal anti virus will not see it. Its called crime watch. You will have to run a Malware to get rid of it. I ran "Malwarebytes" on its maximum settings. It got rid of the little sucker. You can download a trial version. I ended up buying the premium version. Good Luck Do it ASAP.
If you use Chrome you can add 'Adblock Plus' which could help. But you may have inadvertently landed on a malware infested website and it's allowed some nasty to infect you computer. You can try scanning your computer with your virus protection software and then download malwarebytes and scan with that. Good luck. ~Marion
1) Click on the three bars at the top right-hand side of Chrome.
2) Click on 'More Tools'
3) Click on 'Extensions'
4) Scroll down and click on 'Get more extensions'
5) Add 'Adblock Plus'
6) Check the 'Enable' box
DONE...do I need to restart the pc? Because, I already installed the malwarebytes as Lindon11 told me to. It recognized the malware. And it still shows! OMG...never happened to me before! And the worse...now everytime I open a new tab, instead of google, appears Yahoo search, and I never used it!!!
Even with the malware stuff, and the adblock plus, still appearing...now with the boxes in black, but still appearing. any suggestion? I'm really desperate with this!
There's no guarantee because I haven't tried this but here goes http://www.malwareremovalguides.info/how-to-remove-adware-from-google-chrome/ or http://download.cnet.com/Ad-Aware-Free-Antivirus/3000-8022_4-10045910.html Always be careful when installing programs from the internet because sometimes they come bundled with unwanted programs and/or viruses.
Ok. thank you so much Marion. I think it was when I tried to download 7zip, but it was from the official site...I need some program to unzip files, I heard it was free...now i'm afraid to try again!

I build my website in portuguese, my native language. I promote it for portuguese market. Nevertheless, and since the entire WA platform is in english, should I duplicate it, tr
Hello Sarita.
I am almost positive that Google Or Bing has a translator that automatically shows the website in the language that the user has typed for their search.
You would have to do some searching for it on google first and if you cannot find it there then try Bing.
Have a nice evening.
Robert
I didn't knew that, but for sure I'll look for it. Thank you for the suggestion! Very much appreciated!
Couldn't find anywhere the answer for the question, if a foreign reader would have automatically shown my posts in their language. Anyway, I changed the plug in so the translator have more language options for the readers!
The translator is in Bing but you have to choose the function or you just get the normal one that is more or less the same as all the others.
Robert
But it just work if readers have bing?(I mean, what if, they use chrome, like me, or fox, etc) Or it's a plug-in I can get over there to insert on my wordpress?I'm so sorry to make you all this questions and make loose so much time...and thank you again for all your trouble so far with me!
It does not matter what browser anyone uses. You put the code on your website like you would any other one.
Robert
I'll try...me and codes...hummm...but I'll go there to find it and try to implement it. It would be HUGE for me!!!! Thank you so much! :-)
its a simple matter to copy the code from the translator site into a widget on your own site.
Robert
I really don't have an answer for you, but it looks like these WA folks are giving you things to think about. Bottom line is... It's your site and niche. So do what you feel is right and have fun with it. Good luck in making that decision.
If you are into internet business, you must have provision for English language. It is wise to use both the languages, English and Portuguese. First learn to create Landing page. Use it for Portuguese language and then for the other language.
Not necessarily
I am looking at building a site in another language because I have found no site in that niche and language so if I do it correctly I should be able to corner a large part of the market in that country.
Although many people can read English they usually feel more comfortable within their own native tongue, not surprisingly.
It all comes down to the niche, and the potential market for products and services within that demographic.
A larger potential audience does not necessarily mean more business.
Where a smaller more targeted audience could.
Dave
You are absolutely right. It is always sensible to enter into a niche market with the native language. At the same time there is no harm if the same knowledge and information can be spread to other parts of the world with little effort. by translating.the contents.
Yes, I think it's what I should dedicate my time on...a landing page. I'm a little unsure how, because I usually used pre made ones. But I think it's a priority now. And I will do it in both languages. Thank you!
To note
Translating a site into another language is not considered duplicate content by the search engines.
Check out our friend Loes' site which makes use of the Google translator plugin.
The translate button is yellow down in the bottom right.

If you are duplicating then wouldn't it get your rankings? To me perhaps better to put in a phrase on your landing page something like...this website is accessible in many languages...then give instruction how to translate the site...??? You could then run two landing pages....one in Portuguese and one in English?
It's exactly my doubts...Not even started to do an landing page, because I don't know what to do....and now I'm already getting some traffic over there...ughhhh
Yes....I suppose I really need to do it. It's just create another website here, isn't it? With the same themes, etc? And try to rank it again?
I am only thinking out loud here and maybe someone can enlighten us. Is there a plug in that translates language, no sure if there is but it would be ideal in your situation.
I have that plug-in installed already. The question is...are people using it? Or go to the post, see it's in portuguese, and just go away?
Yes, but I think it's a bit hidden and I can't find a better one. You can check it if you want http://sucessoemmarketingdigital.com/ and tell me if I'm right? Thank you
Can you shift it to the top of your page, its a bit too far daown and not easy to spot, It works perfect though.
