The Value Of Comments On Your Website
I have heard Kyle mention now and again how important and beneficial, for numerous reasons, why we should ask for comments on our blogs and websites.
Some of the benefits for content comments are;
(i) it shows Google that there is traffic and interaction with visitors within your content.
(ii) it helps you to see if your content is really helping your visitors
I Received First Hand Experience
Just yesterday I posted my web page (http://goo.gl/mvZbCK) and requested comments.
I had very insightful comments from my visitors. One pointed out that I should "show", (instead of "tell" - as Kyle always says), because the video footages get to be a hassle for some people including myself due to slow internet connections.
I then went into my post to edit and only then I discovered that in my content I mention a video presentation which I did not even include in the page post. That visitor's comment doubly helped me. I got to correct a mistake that I hadn't noticed. I also got to create a website presentation that I hope will be helpful to others.
One of the others visitors asked me questions that allowed me to point them to the training sources here at Wealthy Affiliate. That showed me that my content still misses some information that the visitors out there could be in need of. From those comments, I have an opportunity to work on my content to make it better.
During one of the Bootcamp trainings, one of our ambassodors commented that links should be opened in a new window. Initial I didn't know how I would do that but when I took time to investigate his point. I noticed my error.
Some of the stuff will be learnt from the comments we receive.
Take Time To View Others' Posts And Leave A Comment
I appreciate getting these comments so much. Sometimes some of us may not comment because you feel that you will be sounding too harsh or insensitive with the comment that you want to make.
Please, if it going to help me grow to create better stuff that will help me with my online business, do not pull back any slapping. Well, smack me just enough to keep me going, not right out of the game..........
Be nice!
That said, let us all take it upon ourselves to take time from our very busy schedules, to read other peoples blogs and web pages and leave constructive, genuine comments. It is very helpful to each one of us.
Kind regards to you all,
Ronnie

Great article Ronnie, and you are absolutly right. Comments have many benefits and we should all do more of it.
Hi Ronnie, great article about "comments", and why we should take a moment to visit and comment on other members sites, thanks for sharing.
Hey Alejandra,
I thank you for taking time to have a look at my blog. I am glad you also see the need for commenting on each others content.
I really only woke up to it when I realised the help I gained from the comments.
All the best to you.
Ronnie
You're absolutely right, Ronnie! We should take the time from our busy schedules to go and have a look at other sites and leave comments and feedback - it IS so beneficial to all of us!
Tarja
Hi Tarja,
Thank you for taking time to visit my blog.
You may have noticed that I don't do it often. I am still trying to get the hang of writing stuff. I so agree with you on how beneficial reading each others content and commenting is.
Most of us who are still wobbly with online stuff would most probably never get any form of traffic.
It really is something that is of great value to all of us.
Kind regards
Ronnie
Thanks for the article, Ronnie. It really points out how one point of view is much narrower than many points of view.
Hello Kari,
Sorry for the delayed response and for taking your time to read my blog.
Wow, you even went into my website commented there. Truly greatly appreciated.
I tried posting a comment on to your Helping and Sharing page ("community for women") but when I click to log in it says I have incorrect log in details.
Thank you again.

Hi Ronnie
Thanks for this post. I enjoyed reading it and am pleased to know that you are open to receiving 'honest' comments and not looking just for the warm fuzzies. I find commenting can be difficult as some people are on the defensive and don't appreciate help that is being given by someone who is also giving their time they could use elsewhere! Plus, I do always remember to be gentle and nice :)
Valerie
Thanks for taking time to read the blog Valerie.
I also thank you for your observation about others being defensive.
Regards
Ronnie
