Hi,Robert

Thanks for sharing information with us. Busy trying to find other legitimate online business to add to the present WA. I don't actually have experience to start something from the scratch, that's why I solemnly rely on ready made businesses as my second source of income. This resulted in me being the victim of scammers. I even tried forex trading without success. I've been unemployed for ten years and my wife joined me this year on April. I have to play a role of being a supportive and trusted Father by making sure fire keeps burning in the house. Sorry for taking your time Robert, I am from a disadvantaged family background.

Unless you have a silver spoon in your mouth when you're born everybody has to find their own way in life.
Part of that search could involved hardship but hopefully we overcome and come out a much better person and master of our own destiny.
If you believe that being a VA is your path to success then go for it. This road can be hard as well so take your time and only work for reputable companies and honest people.
Thank you for your comment.

Hi, Robert...

VAs are an extremely important asset that we can tap into as online marketers, and the value they bring cannot be overemphasized for the start-up or small to medium sized company...

This, of course, opens the doors for those that may have a particular qualification that is in demand. Whether it is copywriting, video editing, coding, etc. as you mention.

We have used VAs on a regular basis through Fiverr, and the cost versus benefit cannot be argued...What would take days due to my and others lack of expertise is done in a day or two max...

The projects or gigs as some say were not $5 gigs either...They have ranged from $15 all the way up to $250 to now. All were completed in a short period of time...

The reason I bring all of this up is that I believe you have pointed out a GOOD way to generate some fast income from online activities - to keep the frustration level down for those starting out, this is yet another way to get your motivation back...

Not only that, the money you earn can be substantial, and you could grow that one off job into an entire business as your reputation grows.

Do well with your VA gigs, and at some point, there will be enough clients that want you to work exclusively for them that you can strike out on your own, or hire a staff to do the work...

Cheers!
Dave : )

Hello Dave and thank you for your indepth comment.
Appreciate you taking the time to do this and pointing out the benefits of either working as a VA or hiring one.
My own daughter does work as a VA and so far she is making quite a good income from it.
Her main Bug Bear with it is she has to work for too many people to make that income because there are so many other people working as VA's and applying for the same jobs..
I do keep telling her to advertise herself more and only take on jobs that are going to last.
But as you have pointed out most jobs only last a short while.
Enjoy your evening Dave.

Perhaps this is a way for you to earn some extra dollars.
Choose reputable companies though as like anywhere else on the net there are scams and scammers who want the work done and wont pay.
Enjoy your Thursday.

I actually have 2 VAs now in my Staff of 15. I would NEVER hire a VA from the US, England or Canada due to limited skills and higher cost. And generally a poor attitude. This has been my experience over the last 10 years.

Hello Jay and thank you for your comment.
I don't know a whole lot about VA's but there are some WA members who do this sort of work and we are a worldwide community and therefore from all three of those you mention.
Of course you will know that you get what you pay for and you will also know what they say about paying peanuts.
Thank you for your input and have a really nice day/evening wherever you happen to be right now.

I would greatly disagree with you here. There are a lot of very talented people in the US and the UK - however, most of them do know their value and worth and therefore expect to be paid what they are worth.

Hello Yvonne. I don't know who you are replying to but I agree with what you're saying.
I'm from the UK and I KNOW I'm talented and if I wanted to I could put a lot of WA members who profess to know everything to shame.
I know my limitations and what I don't know about I will put my hand up to.
Then I will go and do my due diligence until I can tell other people what they want to know.
I hope I do this through my WA Blogs as well.
Enjoy your Thursday.

Sorry it took so long to answer. I am still in Alaska, packing up the house so someone else can live in it. We have decided to lease it for a year to see if we want to sell and live somewhere else, like Mexico! So, not much time on WA. Will be heading to Mexico in ten days. Then I will get back to learning, possibly outside by the pool.
Thank you for asking.
You have a great day too!

Well, When I have learnt all about websites etc - what I had expected my VA to do for me, but she didn't - maybe I could sell myself as a VA. Joking. I actually want to do MY work and not work for others....

Hello Heidi and thank you for reading my blog.
I think you will get good ones and bad ones whatever you hire a VA for Heidi.
We live and learn and as you want to DIY then that is all to the good because you will learn from experience and that is always the best way.
You get someone else to do it for you - you learn nothing.
Enjoy your Wednesday.

Absolutely, I didn't learn a whole lot in the 3 years since the first big website was created for me. I learnt much much more in the 3 months I am here. Should have known this community 3 years ago, that would have saved a lot of money and a lot of my nerves....

I went to try VA work a few years ago but then I got another contract and it went on the back burner. It may be something else I think about to stop myself from contracting (100-200 mile daily round trips begin to get tiring). I've always believed in trying to have multiple income streams as if one is quiet for a few months then the others can sustain you. so thanks for the info

Hello Yvonne and thank you for your comment and input.
emerald860 who also commented has also been involved with VA work.
Perhaps the two of you can get together and compare notes.
Yes its always best not to rely too heavily on just the one income stream.
Enjoy your day.

That's actually my other part-time job, Robert! I've been a VA for over 4 years now. I didn't even need a website before now. All my work came to me through word of mouth. Things are slowing down a bit so I'm getting my VA website ready to launch.

That site you mentioned is very good. Thanks for sharing!

Unless you are still living in the stone age most people will have them or at least can learn the basics.
Worth thinking about though if only to earn a few dollars while you get your websites up and running and making you money.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
